You know what, after Polk constantly poked Daniel, tweeted mean things etc. I'm actually happy that Dnegs showed him some solid play, and it isn't an easy walk for Polk. I actually hope Negreanu wins this match.
Love how he said “goals to win millions of dollars” *gets followed up with by them going”I left with 3 million” and bro says “wow congrats, not that big a deal”
nice very entertaining. Dnegs ran pretty insanely hot but also played well (eg the K9 bluff was pretty epic - playing his image really well here). Still think Doug will destroy him online though once they start playing some real volume.
its preetty standard tho, he cant call pre, folding seems bad againts a guy that 3 bets light, obviously your left with 4beting. k9o is preetty good candidate. the flop is tricky because doug can have 1010 and JJ when he flats pre but you have K high and you have a gutter so you have a clear cbet, turn im not going to ttalk much because you could check(and realize equity with the oportunity to bluff some rivers when checked to you ) or bet and go for 3 barrels in some rivers. river is a blank and when you dont block any diamond i guess its mandatory to bluff all in , you get some auto folds from some type of draws like KQ ou Qx diAMONDS and you put AJ and AT in a really dificult spot. its standard bro not epic at all xD

3:27:40 Biggest hand of the night. In the old days, wasn't it a routine fold for a paired flop of 6s Kc 6h? Daniel had 10c6c, Doug had QdJd. Daniel bet $1600, Doug called and only had a runner runner straight draw.
All Daniel needed to do was win this live match and he's "proven" enough to most people. This live match would get the most views by far. Obviously he ran very hot and 200 hands is nothing. But I feel he played better than Doug in this small sample
Easy to play well when you're running well, but he was solid, and got the notable K9 bluff through. I was more disappointed in Doug than impressed with Daniel, felt after hand 170 Doug spewed and seemed frustrated. I feel similar that Daniel, taking this match in his opponents specialisms (HU and cash) and holding his own, does prove a lot. I do think playing live reduces Doug's edge significantly, but we're only playing a fraction of hands live so we'll see what happens in the long run and online. You still have to favour Doug at this point, but I will be reassessing if Daniel is still up 6 figures after 2500 hands.

Can we please take a minute to talk about how negreanu ran like an absolute god for the duration? Always either had a hand or made a hand. Also ran one good bluff with the k9 when Polk had AQ.
Yeah the 2 AJ vs AQ hands and the magical trips 6 hand when Polk was running a bluff that should have worked a majority of the time I believe he even gets weak K6 -KJ to fold. Daniel was playing way to passive, not betting for value and overfolding to Polks bluffs. He will most certainly get destroyed if he continues to play so tight/passive and not capitalize and bet for value in spots where he should.
Nobody is mentioning how well he ran, twas uncanny, I would absolutely bury Polk too if I ran into hand after hand like this. AQ vs AJ twice he makes top 2 with AJ, a 4-bet pot w/ 10-6 and he flops trip 6's ... it just went on and on.

Playing poker with other players is a truly superb experience. The excitement of reading opponents, the thrill of strategic betting, and the dynamic social interactions elevate the game to a superior level. The face-to-face engagement and the unpredictability of human behavior add layers of depth and challenge that make live poker incredibly engaging and rewarding. On the other hand, playing poker on a computer, while still highly enjoyable, can be considered premium poker. The convenience of playing anytime, the variety of games available, and the advanced graphics and features provided by online platforms offer a high-quality experience. However, it lacks the tangible, interactive elements that make live poker so exceptional. Thus, while both forms of poker offer unique pleasures, live poker remains the pinnacle of the game, making playing with others more challenging and dynamic.

Congratulations to PokerGo on a great production! Great set, commentators, graphics etc...just a shame they are only doing 200 hands in the PokerGo studio. I'm definitely signing back up to PokerGo for PAD & HSP next month....
Maybe they like each other after all? We're going to need more than these 200 hands played live. They have good banter.
You know what, after Polk constantly poked Daniel, tweeted mean things etc. I'm actually happy that Dnegs showed him some solid play, and it isn't an easy walk for Polk.
I actually hope Negreanu wins this match.
Negreanu finally had a win today, but he was compliant about getting action on his Aces after...not great. I am happy he’s winning some
@@amazingabby25 Daniel ended up being a bit too loosey goosey, but played great
I can't wait to see Phil "50 hands is a big enough sample size" Hellmuth play against Negreanu.
when is that match?
Well round 1 was epic
Love how he said “goals to win millions of dollars” *gets followed up with by them going”I left with 3 million” and bro says “wow congrats, not that big a deal”
nice very entertaining. Dnegs ran pretty insanely hot but also played well (eg the K9 bluff was pretty epic - playing his image really well here). Still think Doug will destroy him online though once they start playing some real volume.
its preetty standard tho, he cant call pre, folding seems bad againts a guy that 3 bets light, obviously your left with 4beting. k9o is preetty good candidate.
the flop is tricky because doug can have 1010 and JJ when he flats pre but you have K high and you have a gutter so you have a clear cbet, turn im not going to ttalk much because you could check(and realize equity with the oportunity to bluff some rivers when checked to you ) or bet and go for 3 barrels in some rivers.
river is a blank and when you dont block any diamond i guess its mandatory to bluff all in , you get some auto folds from some type of draws like KQ ou Qx diAMONDS and you put AJ and AT in a really dificult spot.
its standard bro
not epic at all xD
@@jose3990 it was epic. He pulled off a great bluff. I’m hoping Polk destroys Negreanu online now.

@@Archy513 a big part of poker is reading the other players so taking that part of the game away makes it no surprise at the outcome.
@@ckhawk00 yeap....also some people just have the IQ and brain power to analyze info and process information quickly and accurately which plays heavily into top online players. Especially when playing multiple tables simultaneously.....no live reads at all....just algorithms, pattern recognition, n balancing out bets. Higher IQ is a big factor.
@@ckhawk00 n im not diminishing or minimizing polk. He is one of the besr players hands Down....

3:27:40 Biggest hand of the night. In the old days, wasn't it a routine fold for a paired flop of 6s Kc 6h? Daniel had 10c6c, Doug had QdJd. Daniel bet $1600, Doug called and only had a runner runner straight draw.
Wow. My level of tilt when the commentators speak over the players is so high.
I wish thered been more live play, this was fantastic
Daniel is such a veteran...he went from sassy to daddy in his talk.
Great commentary. Didn’t talk over players, informed the viewers.
Polk just needed to understand that everything you do at the poker table conveys information, you can’t be all loosey goosey
😂 😂
34:12. And 44:55 .. Daniel has his phone 📱 on his wrist .. the first 30 min he keeps checking it.. long sleeves .. what gives .. I thought they agreed no phones 📵

Daniel Negreanu and Doug Polk need to play live again. It's way more interesting watching them play live than online. You can't even see their cards when they play online! I can't watch that for hours like I can watch them play live for hours.
I'm loving this interaction between the two! Would totally pay 5 bucks a month to listen Dnegs and Doug podcast, reminiscing about the old days of poker.

@@Rekickit If they wanted to or if other people want to be friends then they should not play poker against each other. Or play for tiny stakes and keep the game friendly. Because the nature of the game is obtainment by stealing, deception, mis-direction and trickery, therefore the game for high stakes is not friendly.

They likely won’t be BFF’s , but each of these guys will gain a little more respect for one another , win or lose

Would be great to see a version of this with no commentary, just the players talking.
Doug is a great player but Daniel knows every angle and has sat with absolute legends.
His meta game is insane , he tells a story and changes it as he wants at every table he sits at .
@Lean mean Killing machine how many 6x does he have here as a 4b being a nit... not saying the shove is great but he could easily have jj qq or kq kjs kind of hand and think about folding to this overbet. Wait and see
@@Yokoblue exactly, if Daniel doesn’t have a 6 there or KQ/AK, 8s, I really do believe he folds.

Why is this rivalry so adorable? The banter is hilarious, though.
