People must stop with this Toto praise like he built that team... that was 100% Ross Brawn. He signed Lewis and Nico and is the one that said to focus on the engine and sacrifice a season for it

Not so fast... it was Norbert Haug who threw Ross Brawn that all-important lifeline in 2008. He was also the architect of the Mercedes takeover in 2009 and responsible for the signing of Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher for the 2010 season (the prospect of joining forces with Brawn again helped a great deal to unretire Schumacher, as if £20m signing bonus wasn't enough ;). Niki Lauda convinced Lewis Hamilton to leave McLaren and replace Michael Schumacher for the 2013 season.
So it is fair to say that there may not be a Mercedes F1 team if it wasn't for "Madman" Nobby. 😉

@aoife1122 u do know norbit bought Ross championship team in 2010!?? Norbit had nothing to do with running Mercedes from 2010-2013.... Ross was the boss and the mind that gt Mercedes set up to win.
Norbit had more say at mclaren. Lauda played his part too just like all other members but ROSS was the Boss

@@kondjanegongo796 Oh, Haug had EVERYTHING to do with it... Brawn was the team principal but he reported to Haug, who was the man in charge as Mercedes' head of motorsport, a position he held until 2012 when Toto Wolff took over. Saying otherwise is like saying Mike Krack is "the boss" of Aston Martin F1. 😂
(And Mercedes bought Brawn GP in 2009, the deal was finalized on the 16th of November that year)

@@aoife1122 Yeah i meant they got brawn for the 2010 season.
So in your mind Haug was also more influencial at running Mclaren than Ron Dennis? Dont be silly! Ross and Ron wer significantly better and more experienced at running teams and giving directions to wher e the team would go.... Remember Ron MADE mclaren and Ross + Honda Made the Brackley Team

@@aoife1122 let me not dismiss Norbit as he did bring alot to the table but he wasnt deff not the brains behind Mclaren or Mercedes F1

It's Funny How LH is F1 , The Ratings prove that true, the Ratings have been flat since 2021. Give LH a Good Car and Watch The Sport Rise. The book Should be interesting to read. just wondering how the Passing On Nikki actually changed the Dynamics of the Team, Least we forget Toto was at Willaims F1, and Willaims F1 did not fair any better

Hamilton is an 8x in my eye's and opinion it's all blatant to see what toto did to Hamilton... like it is a bit odd when we see the downfall 🤔 and still don't damage the brand.. I remember the interview with toto blatantly saying that if they were not to give him the opportunity and car.. well they will lose him, and now you'll be bec of selfishness and Hamilton in the equal opportunity equipment will be a force to be reckoned with.. I tell u I'm straight forward to the point where toto is the whole sh*tshow 💯 and to blame for all that crap

Mercedes are a racing team who have all the issues like all the other teams.
Sponsors are very important to all the teams on the grid and you need to perform well in order to keep them and encourage more to join.
Like all businesses you need to have something that brings attention to your team, like the car and drivers.
Currently they are not winning and they will not have any top drivers come 2025.

Toto is a businessman first then a team leader second. Yes he's leads well but he no Frank Williams, Colin chapman who had racing in their blood.

Washed driver that lost his racing mojo many years ago when he just as Seb became a woke hypocrite whitewashing horror regimes with rainbows.

@ Becoming this woke hypocrite as Seb and Lewis did for sure, the rainbow and their state oil anti LGQBT horror regimes is just the symbol, the results on track showed it
