@@tomg.5194 Whats funny is that i knew a friend called Tom (and second name beginning with G) in university who did auditions for star wars episode 7 years ago. I actually dove into star wars lore a lot deeper after that. Also if i'm not mistaken Nissan did release an electric Star wars sponsored car for episode 8. Or i think it was 4x4 car? And it did genuinly look like a storm trooper helmit.

I mean, I'd criticise it too for exactly same reason. And way too much focus on rear leg room. Most cars are being driven by at best two adults. Having all that space just adds mass, makes car harder to drive and park, for literally no reason at all. Hell, one of biggest Tesla dealbreakers for me is they're WAAYYYYY too big of a car. I had to employ help of 2 people to put Model 3 in my garage to charge it because garage doors width was only 2 cm more than Model 3 ... with mirrors folded. Mirrors that are ridiculously tiny by the way.

Lol Actually, I love EV. Acceleration is instant and with the Model S P100D, the performances are incredible. I would never go back to a noisy and polluting combustion engine. These were boring for me. And I used to have the latest Audi RS3.

We all want to be cool and nonchalant about things hyped, but this is one of 'the' cars altering the automotive industry's future, and for the better. At minimum that should be acknowledged.

The thing is, you can get all of this car with the exception of the acceleration (you have to "make do" with 0-60 in 4sec) for 80k if you buy the 100D (no P). That's insanely good.

Pleather in a 100,000+ pound car... Vinyl seats weren't cool in the 70s, 80s, or... uhh... never... lol
Also I think calling it Vegan Leather is almost lying. It's made of vegetable based protein powder mixed with polyurethane, sprayed on a fabric backing then a mold is run over it. The biggest downside is when it starts to go, it flakes, and it doesn't breathe so it gets hot and sweaty.
It's amazing though how it's been elevated to premium material status when it's significantly cheaper than natural leather.
I think the selling point is the lack of killing sentient beings.

The rear seating position looked very uncomfortable. Low bum and high knees
At 1m80 I fit in there comfortably. He has a lot of room to stretch, it looks cramped as he pulls his feet towards him.

Unfortunately that is due to the underfloor battery compartment. Unless they would raise the roof line quite high, there is nothing that can be done about that rear seat situation.
@@David-ud9ju There is a lot of area space but not vertical space. That's due to the skateboard battery design. You fail at defining the dimensions.
@@Neojhun It'll make no difference where his feet are on the floor. His knees would still be just as high. As said above the floor is too high because of the battery pack. It's a useless design if normal size adults want to sit in the back.

My family has a model x and i honestly thought he was gunna be like Jeremy clarkson and be completely unreasonable, but he actually gave a good honestly review, and i really think tesla should add a red leather interior but the white is really cool

leg room at the back is maybe ok, but leg/butt position is certainly not, because of that batteries at the bottom. your legs will hurt at longer rides, that i'm 100%
It’s like that for the driver as well, unfortunately. I wish they would sacrifice a little battery, and dig out a little footwell. There are even empty volumes elsewhere in the vehicle where they could, at least in theory, stash the cells they would have to dig out.
