I have been interested in detecting for a while. This might be the perfect detector for me and the wife to get out there and start finding some neat minning era stuff. Great video. CHEAH!

Save up for a Minelab or Whites...well worth the money. A Garrett Ace 250 is a good model as well. Try to find the oldest schools in your area...kids lose coins all the time. My oldest find is a Draped Bust Large Cent...found it at my old high school.
Iv got one does work ,first find 2 pence 1975 coin bit green hay can not fault it and a razor old one ,not been out again yet waiting for a digger spade

Damn that one works pretty good 😋👍🏼 makes me want get that for 💯 just to try metal detecting we have lots of fields out here in Pennsylvania to metal detect .
@@bakerXderek That's interesting, I know I have also had some hard plastic components that I thought was some sort of metal alloy. Mainly stuff like bike mounts. Someone also mentioned that the wire from the coil has metal in so that obviously doesn't interfere.
Hello, I could really use some help. I have this metal detector and it's fantastic. Buy I'm trying to use the memory setting more accurately. If I scan my metal detector over steel, it reads silver or if I scan it over copper it picks up iron ect ect... Is there a reset button or some way I can change this? So if I'm looking for coins, I can rely on my machine to not have me digging up old cans and stuff. I'd appreciate some advice.
Yep your reply sums you up.My “kids” are in their 40s.Parents showing young children your vids would do wise to turn it off to avoid your foul language'
This isn't the 1920's anymore. Times have changed, the world has changed, if a few words are gonna bother you that much then you're probably living a miserable life.
I have a old whites that was $600 new it has a plastic nut I have a Garrard 300 that also has a plastic nut I have a cheap Bounty Hunter guess what that has a plastic nut not sure if a metal not would interfere with the tech thing but I'm pretty sure it would make pinpointing impossible
Every metal detector I've had always uses plastic bolts to connect the coil to the shaft. It seems like they could use metal bolts because its a motion detector and with the bolt connected to the coil it would be motionless relative to the coil. That's the same reason why the coil cord doesn't cause signals. But I've had 5 different metal detectors some high end and none had metal bolts.
When are you going to go to a beach the wet sand is a pain with a single frequency detector but I do the tail line back and forth like I'm cutting the grass 9 rings in a bunch of earrings in one summer season also if you have the money buy a equinox 600 or 800 600 well it's about 600 bucks and eight hundredths about eight or nine hundred dollars you got multiple frequencies you can use simultaneously or just select one ground balancing a lot of features but it's more or less a turn-on in go machine it's great in the wet sand and saltwater and everywhere else built in rechargeable battery you can charge on the go well the machine is in use and it's Minelab need I say more

For $100 it wasn't bad at all and actually picked up every signal I threw at it.

I did that the day I started metal detecting

@BECOMING WR It's good to do to know what signals are and helps pin point what you're getting in the wild.

Gold Nugget time. Hit the creek's and ditches. Bases of hills, wash out dry creeks.

These metal detecting videos are awesome.
Every time you find a coin I'm like, "that looks like a dime" and you're like, "oh another penny!" 🤣🐢☠️
Plastic screw and nut is used, because u don't want to use metal near the coil bro, that sh!t would be going off
For some reason my other one is reinforced like that.

Maybe a aluminum or copper nail?

No metal near the coil, hence the plastic bolt 😊

Hey Bru, just curious, but if the coil retaining nut was metal, would that not interfere with the detection?
It would have to be by the center of the coil for it to interfere. My other detector is that way.
@@bakerXderek I see, so just a slight lack of quality in the build of the product. Great video as always mate. You make me smile. 🏍
@@davidtrotter7488 Actually I double checked, my other ones just a way harder plastic. Guess im dumb lol. Quality isn't bad besides that nut tho.
