As a beginner who has bought this set, you've given me so much confidence. I'm put off by some of the snobbery towards beginners from some hobbyists but I feel happy with my choice as a first detector now 😊 Only problem is, my car's broke and it's currently bucketing it down for a few days and you've got me all excited to get to the beach!
Good choice ,never been worried about what others think..I've used other 'cheaper' machines and found some great stuff as you have to walk over it to find it.Dont get disheartened by others all the time your enjoying it...good luck

Love your channel. Bought the Mtxe because of your reviews, and glad I did. As a coin shooter on the beach its superb. Going to try it at the park this weekend and see how it handles. Not having a setting for ground balance makes me think its more of a gimmick than anything else. Keep up the great content.

Wow thank you very much I've never sugarcoated anything while showing the good and the bad,I've a few videos to edit and 2 machines for a quick review (both a bit different from the norm).Time isn't as abundant for detecting and editing as it was ,but thanks for sticking with my erratic upload schedule.

It's a shame as I used to watch about 10 detecting channels,most have stopped for one reason and another.I only watch 2 UK channels and 4 German ones as I like the military history.Thanks for the support and good luck hunting

This is a great video, It shows just how well rounded this machine is and suprised me when when i tested it. i think this machine would give a garrett 250 a run for its money.
There not much in it apart from the big brand name,very stable on salty water which impressed me
@@Hadesdetecting well the garrett cant cope with the salt water, so of the three machines so far, which would you choose? 250, xe or xr?
@@deborahsparesmith5377 not tried the XR so can't comment on that.I'd stick with the MTXE as its lighter than the Garrett and i hated the tones n the Garrett which was the main reason i sold it a bit quick and went straight to the explorer SE
and it didnt cope to well in salty water
@@HadesdetectingI prefer the xe as well even after using the xr, the xr feels heavy and slow to use. but i am really happy that you have tested it and liked it.

Goes to show you...most metal detectors are very OVERPRICED
I do agree in the most part but the big companies spend way more on marketing, advertising,R&D etc.
I'm a second hand bargain hunter at heart so would never pay new prices anyway.Cheers for watching
Worst year ever for me,early mornings ,best day £7-00 cant find whats not there
I barely go to the beach now so really not worried (never have been) what I find,always been happier finding odd stuff as finding just money gets boring.sounds odd but it's never gonna pay a good hourly wage
