Talking of jewellery, can I use formlabs non shrinking wax resin in a Mars Pro 2 or do you know of a water based no shrink alternative? Another question are there slicers specifically for iPad or do I have to export the stl to my Mac? Btw I haven’t Purchased the printer yet.
@@AT-gu8by I have a Form2 and an Elegoo Mars but ice never yet dared to try Form resins on the.Mars unit. I have ordered a spare Mars tray so I can do some experiments with things like the tough resin. Theoreticaly there's no issue but having tried some of there experiments historically and made some big errors I am reluctant to try. I just tried Elegoo resin in a Peopoly Phenom and I managed to adhere a layer of resin to the base of the VAT.
Great project Glen! I might suggest modeling a registration mark on the handle to aid in aligning the logo properly while stamping. This will ensure your classified conveyances are decidedly discernible by their exquisitely embossed envelopes!
That's such a great tip, and i’d not thought of that. Thank you!! I'm going to cast it this week so i’ll reprint it first. I think I'll pin your comment to the top as it's such a good idea.
Gives Gives me some ideas about printing stamps......ie with an inked pad....for greetings cards.and decorative items. And what about your stylised signature or initials. Fun!
so i don’ t have nomad sculpt. is there an option to turn on dimensions in order to see the size of things? specifically for making interconnected parts?
How can you make sure that the centre of the stamp is right on the mirror plane and aligned with it? I've made a very detailed alpha for a stamp. I placed it on my mesh and now I want to sculpt and smooth it further in Nomad with symmetry on. Because I could not exactly control the positioning of the stamp, the symmetry is always slightly off... I'm actually thinking to just sculpting the entire stamp in Nomad to make sure that it's symmetrical. Then the alpha would have been rather useless... Is there a way to solve that? Thank you for the great tutorials!
So did you manage to 3d (resin) print off your Wax Seal Stamp and tested it out? Did the Resin Stamper hold up to the heat of the melted wax over several uses and did the stamps came off clean or comparable if not equal to metal wax stampers? I have in mind in casting wax stampers (in a mold) in heat resistant (unbaked) resin (that is said to have a heat tolerance of 90c) or silicone as a cheaper alternative to Metal Stamps being made, but can't seem to find anyone (heat) testing out these Resin Stampers on melted wax.
This was a fun video to work on. I think Nomad has tremendous potential for creating jewellery and items destined for casting.
Next week ill see if I can squeeze in a video of how to cold cast this in iron or copper. The ‘seal’ part works so much better if you use cold metal.

@@SouthernGFX Good to know, Thank you.
You will never stop to impress me!
Cheers Kevin. Comments like that make me keep going.
The resin resist on the hot wax? Wow amazing!
Great idea, Glen - every artist should have one! Some useful tips here that I can incorporate into my models too 👍

Yeah it's endless! I love that we can do this stuff right there on an iPad. It's nuts!

You're genius!
Awesomeeee 😊🔥

Clever!
Oh man, how did I miss this Gem???
I little bit confuse here, how to make thorus and logo in the same height?
Are there any suggestions for an Android version of Procreate?
really helpful
Just use the mask tool to paint directly in Nomad Sculpt, no need for 2D Software. great for designing cookie cutters.
brilliant thank you

There is no alfas file in my nomad🙄 I opened one but now I can not see it in nomad
No way to snap to 90 degrees when rotating?
Gizmo settings, rotate 90 on Y.. top right on the interface. I’m just lazy :)
@@SouthernGFX great! Thanks
