After losing 3 family members to ALS, (mom, grandmother and aunt) this is the first time I have laughed out loud, to anything to do with ALS. Thanks Augie and Lynne for inspiration and a respect for each other.

Just got word that Augie died... I friended him after watching this movie.. I have Cerebral Palsy.. Augie helped me at a time when I needed it... He has taught me to live your best life in spite of the bed stuff that goes on... Live that life to the full and give the problems and issues the biggest middle finger known to man..... RIP Augie.... Give the man upstairs hell for us down here....

Hi Lynne...I too have ALS and at the 9:45 mark,it shows Augie with patches over both of his eyes. Because I get a double dose of Levsin at night, my eyes burn in the morning,. Can you tell me what those are??

Prayers for your family. My mother died of ALS. She only lasted nine months. She was everything to me. I went to a Gala in Boston and met Augie. Thank you so very much for your work in finding a cure. So grateful with Love.

it looks like Augie wasn't the best human being EVER before his illness. And ALS without any heritage of genes is mostly the result of overusing the muscles lasting for years or decades. . Looking on his body from the past - his muscles had to be very tired after years of abusing them. Many people with ALS were overusing muscles in the past, I am sure it leads to ALS together with other condition which we don't know yet. In each case - rest in peace.
