You can get their but traveling to Old Kena Battlefield there should be a cave before entering the battlefield, go thought it and to left there should be some vine to climb and up top there should be a level 50 Doomfang Caum.
This will be great but I'm trying to unlock the classes on all characters before but it's starting to get too grindy to be worth it which is funny as I somehow put in 250 in xenoblade 2 by itself without the torna expansion.
Slight update I'd recommend if you could in advance. Equip teach's talent art if at all possible on flash fencers as well, to increase utility and have easy access to burst in a pinch
1:14:54 You are right about the Pippito Unique being a low level, but Shimmering Marcko is actually a VERY good source of Blessed Pippito Light. Even going the Kill/Respawn/Kill route without boosts, he drops Tier Three Light nearly every time. Often more. He can be found in the Pentelas Region in the cave system, at the end of a series of three Rope Slides.
I just finished this long af grind yesterday. Might be the longest grind I've ever done in Xenoblade (haven't played X yet). Thank you for doing this and making an annoying thing much easier.
This man is a saint. I had grinded all my gems up to level 9 and was starting on 10s. Only just finding out now there was a button to skip right to 10.....

Great guide, this was a huge lifesaver for me when it came time to gear up for the super bosses. One small thing: you’re missing the Rhana materials needed for Ironclad X. Covetous Gerondon in the Cadensia Region is the one I used for grinding those
I cannot believe how "common" items are way harder to get than their "legendary" versions. I was once farming the 30 common Ulula Metal Fists and got 56 legendary ones...
I have had the opposite experience. The unique enemies below level 20 are impossible to get legendayr items. Like for the level 13 Perturbed Bilkin with the +40% drop boost it took me 6 hours to get 30 legendary "Flier Pollens"... absolutly stupid
...dude. the moglum parts were a ginormous pain in the ass to grind, not only because of the fact they have some of obnoxious drop rates, but because they had stupidly high resistance to break, and because of their ginormous bodies, I COULDN'T GRAB THE PARTS OUTSIDE OF A CHAIN ATTACK
The way I farmed the materials was I made everyone troubadour and added miyabi as hero then I gave everyone flashback, shield bash and myopic screen as left side arts and autumn rain, way home and ring 'o roses as right side arts then I also gave everyone gust bracelets and break brooches. Pretty much no one died ever because my party was doing burst combos one after the other which pretty much incapacitated every enemy I fought lol.
Thank you so much for this, i dod about 3 gems without this strat and it took ages, now using your troubador strat and have been getting all 30 materials needed in just a single battle at times, its so much more efficient 🤣
I actually had a somewhat similar setup, but everyone was healer class soulhackers with the arts for the burst combo and the skill that heals everyone to full if you die. With this setup, if one person died they would heal everyone then be revived quickly since everyone is a healer.
Just as an additional piece to add to this setup; in addition to break brooches and gust bracelets, give your whole party Friendship Badges (boosts recharge speed by 30% when non-defenders are targeted). Since you don't have any defenders in your party, you're just gonna get a constant 30% boost to all art recharge speed. If you don't have enough for the full party, the Devotional Necklace (recovers 100% of recharge for own arts upon reviving an ally) can also work pretty well, but Friendship Badges are ideal.

There are level 62 flier enemies in the high maktha wildwoods. If you warp to vista of rhonnar and go straight north, slide down the rope, and you keep going up for a bit you can walk up a tree root thing and up it that’s where you’ll find them. Or if you’ve found the Cotte Fountainhead you can warp there and walk back down the path
wow thank you so much for this! i havent fully watched the video but i know it will be very useful for me. after playing 200 hours im taking a little break, im pending on getting all soulhacks, afterwards upgrading them and then gem grind to get everything done in the game. i'll definitely revisit this in a few weeks after ive had a little rest
The Unique Feris is on top of the hill near the Feronis Hulk in the Fornis Region near the old Kana Battlefield, you go near the Hill during the Colony 30 Quest Dealing with the Nopon Off-Seerer
The worst part for me is the fact that there are multiple tiers of rarity on the same item. Who tf came up with that idea? It’s the reason I still haven’t bothered with all the gems😑
For Soft-Shelled Aligo Eggs, I found that farming Massive Georges in Pentelas was more reliable than the higher-level Aligos in Cadensia. He has more HP than the Elite high-level Aligos, he has a named grave (respawn on demand), and you can fight him alone, with multiple angles of attack from which to Break him. I just lowered my level to 37 and went to work on him.
Hey there guys, there is a lvl 58 rhinon with decent hit points in cadensia called foolhardy saide. Its left from sentridge harbour, near the cradle convoy shelter. Thx for the guide, its helping me a ton :)
It is worth noting that Hard mode shortens the timer for reactions, so if the enemy already has an ample amount of HP then it would probably be better to play on Normal mode. Using Shield Belts (buy at Fort O'Virbus) and lowering your level are good ideas as well.
There is a unique Rhinon monster, if you need to farm Thick Rhinon Tail, called the Foolhardy Saide in the very south of Cadensia. Go from the Morrack Inlet Landmark to Cradle Convoy Shelter and a bit further is Foolhardy Saide. A unique Feris monster is in Fornis called Doomfang Caum near Old Kana Battlefield. The unique Aligo monster is Massive Georges. It's a bit hidden in the Secret Area Hidden Freshwater Inlet near Myma Gate in Pentelas. Hope that helps :)
Protip for the Krabble Shield Pincers: I did this post-game. I usually use a Burst party and I set my level to be on par with the level of the UM I'm farming, but even with a L20 party, I could go an entire battle against Househunter Carly and not get a single Legendary Krabble Shield Pincer, even with Manana's Crumblecrunch Block Bar. So I decided to take it a step further and lowered my party level to 16 (5 levels below Carly's), and my first battle yielded 17 Legendary Krabble Shield Pincers over something like 10-12 Bursts.
44:54, im late on the grind but you can get some level 45-ish flamiis on the cadensia region by the anu camp (the bunch of islands connected by ropes). Theyre 6 or 7 right by the camp and there are visible monsters to reset on so its rather quick even if theyre not unique or elite

Do you know what would have been neat in these kind of grinding rpgs? If you could pay to send your extra heroes out on expeditions to specific areas to collect the resources for you as you play the story, kinda like smash bros. More areas would get unlocked as you play the story and they would get a timer next to them which you could immediately call them back through coins.
Not really. Just use Sena with Ogre for breaking. If you have it, equip a Break Brooch on her as well. That gives you at LEAST a 65 percent chance to break enemies
What I’ve done to farm items is set a character up on Miyabi’s weapon class and filled the master art slots with break, topple and daze to complete a whole combo with that one character and so I don’t kill higher level enemies quickly, right when I start a fight with an enemy I pull up tactics and set the party members to follow leader and as long as follow leader is on, the other party members will not attack at all until I turn it off. You’d be surprised with how many first combos you can do with this setup.
You don't need more than 30 pieces of any material if you are only making the level X gems. While it's technically true that you need some materials for more than one level X gem, you'll never need the same quality for the other gem. For example you need legendary "Flak Scrap Iron" for the "Steel Protection X" gem but you only need the common version of the material for "Ultimate Counter X". And you'll get all qualities dropped at the same time, with the exception of having one of the highest "Enemy Drop Boost" food buffs because then some enemies stop dropping common quality materials. But I only encountered that problem when cooking Manana's "Crumblecrunch Block Bar".
Common Auxilia Exo Armor strategy: Set Burst party level to 37 (lots of Way Home and Ring o'Roses) Set difficulty to Hard Control the Ogre with Break/Topple/Daze and Break Brooch/Gust Bracelet/Glistening Medal Fight against the Auxilia closest to the climbable vine, opening with the three reactions, get 1-3 Bursts in, then Sheathe your weapon and climb the vine It's important not to KO the Auxilia as it will respawn with full HP and it's close enough to the vine that you can rinse and repeat fairly quickly. Each attempt will usually yield 0-4 Common Auxilia Exo Armors. You can also attempt something similar by just running away before the Auxilia is KO, but it's faster to run to the vine, which is why I picked this Auxilia.
Thank you! Yours was definitely the quicker method, especially when I focused only on the lucky variants. The option showcased in the video proved to be much less efficient for me than suggested. I would go sometimes 10 or even 15 bursts across multiple kills without receiving a single egg of legendary quality. It was frustrating.

Yo pro tip guys if to travel to cascade crossroads landmark in the cadensia region and head down to the lower level towards Cape Arcaphor there are 5 higher level 50-51 flamiis there which have a much higher drop rate for purple items then the area mentioned in the video. I was able get 30 purple eggs in like 15 minutes or less!
Im 31 minutes in and this is absolutely brutal. I think the fact that some enemies dont have unique bosses tied to the material hurts a lot since stuff like the Caterpile drop like 5 things when you burst them making things incredibly slow. I can at least skip a few since I used gold coins on 2 gems but really thats barely anything in the grand scheme of things. Thanks for the amazing video btw. If I had to go out and find these enemies alone I think I would go crazy.
Now with the challenge mode allowing us to just buy golden nopon coins imma just do that to farm for gem upgrades. Anything to prevent me from needing to plan out a spreadsheet just for finding out what enemies hold the drops and which meal holds the highest chance of that item of the required rarity to drop. Seriously whoever allowed us to use nopon coins for this GOD BLESS YOU!
I'd argue the Level Down mechanic in postgame makes Lapdog Veece a little more worth farming for Volffskin. Especially since you do have to kill it 15 times to upgrade its Soulhacker ability.
*actually took advantage of the quadwing to fight the agshu unique monster in the poison and drag it out to land with ouroborus* After that, it was a simple matter of keeping it out though I highly recommend isurd or (catalyst) as your hero less you want them to die instantly.
For me I went with a team of all Troubadour as they can do the whole combo each, and then just went to town inflicting burst again and again and again, Farming the Steelcleaver for example it took me one fight and I ended up with 77 Legendary Ardun Horns and more than 99 of each of the other rarities in a 10 minute long fight against Kilocorn Grandeps so made a bunch of G from it as well with the auto selling of stuff, seemed to work out really well and ends up with needing one battle really per UM for the stuff I'm crafing

I beat the story last night, and now it is time to do something *TRUELY* outrageous: raise Brimming Spirit from IV directly to X. Seriously, I raised most of my Gems to VI/VII just from playing the game naturally. Why is this one lagging behind so badly?!?

It would have been a shitshow to get all this stoff without your guide :D THANK YOU! Rhana and Quarmu ar missing in my books. It took me near to 40 houres to farm all the stuff and i missed 4 items in the end. I followes every Step for weeks :D Every day a bit more. Would be awesome to know in the written items on the screen whitch rarety i do need and what item doubles in what other rarity. the items you pick off the ground are even recorded in the collectopedia... So pretty sure collectables are the ground pick ups. OP should adress this this to not confuse others..... good thing for me the mañana food I use has 35/35 of both lol
maybe late, someone mightve commented it already but one thing to note about the lower level UMs, if you manage to get a soulhacker burst team setup(which has pretty amazing survivability) you can delevel yourself to like 9 levels below the UM(not sure if red enemy level decreased the chance of break, felt like it) and you can burst them a lot, even more if you then set it to hard
i cant see (its as likely me as not) gastrates ether furnaces. i found a unique monster Infiltrator Garnach that drops them on the forth ixia bridge in syra hovering reefs

TERRITORIAL NOTBART 🤣🤣😂😂 Edit: You can do Nizoont with Lucky Seven. Edit 2: I believe the Executioners are actually Auxilia, not Velites. If you want Velites, you need to go after Mobile Vespa. Follow-up: NO THEY’RE NOT I BE WRONG Edit 3: There’s a Rhinon UM at the Great Sword Base, but you’ll have to get there from the area you go to in Lanz’ Side Story. Edit 4: There’s another Taos UM, it’s also in Swordmarch, called Fineblade Faltaar.
I hope this helps, I used enel's guide for coin farming and leveled down (endgame required) and a lot of these guys I just had to fight once or twice and I got everything. Those fights take longer but you get the items faster
Also take note, if you put a break art and topple art/ or daze and burst art on the same slot both effects will apply (⬆️+X/ ➡️+Y/⬇️+B) . This is useful due to all these still being put into effect in chain attacks since all arts by default are fusion arts in chain attacks. This also means to preferably have defender and healer classes due to them not getting as much tp in chain attacks/ stops it from by passing the limit, thus being able to pull more burst combos off Another side note lol, wait until the enemy is almost dead, then chain attack. And also make sure to still go for the ourboros finish to make the most out of burst combos
I need to add to that, that fusing reactions only works with the master art serving as a later part of the combo. There might be a few exceptions to this rule but in the cases I've tried, I has only worked in that order (ex X=break, ⬆️=topple).

It is worth noting that Hard mode shortens the timer for reactions, so if the enemy already has an ample amount of HP then it would probably be better to play on Normal mode. Using Shield Belts (buy at Fort O'Virbus) and lowering your level are good ideas as well.
There is a unique Rhinon monster, if you need to farm Thick Rhinon Tail, called the Foolhardy Saide in the very south of Cadensia. Go from the Morrack Inlet Landmark to Cradle Convoy Shelter and a bit further is Foolhardy Saide.
A unique Feris monster is in Fornis called Doomfang Caum near Old Kana Battlefield.
The unique Aligo monster is Massive Georges. It's a bit hidden in the Secret Area Hidden Freshwater Inlet near Myma Gate in Pentelas.

Protip for the Krabble Shield Pincers: I did this post-game. I usually use a Burst party and I set my level to be on par with the level of the UM I'm farming, but even with a L20 party, I could go an entire battle against Househunter Carly and not get a single Legendary Krabble Shield Pincer, even with Manana's Crumblecrunch Block Bar. So I decided to take it a step further and lowered my party level to 16 (5 levels below Carly's), and my first battle yielded 17 Legendary Krabble Shield Pincers over something like 10-12 Bursts.

44:54, im late on the grind but you can get some level 45-ish flamiis on the cadensia region by the anu camp (the bunch of islands connected by ropes). Theyre 6 or 7 right by the camp and there are visible monsters to reset on so its rather quick even if theyre not unique or elite

Do you know what would have been neat in these kind of grinding rpgs? If you could pay to send your extra heroes out on expeditions to specific areas to collect the resources for you as you play the story, kinda like smash bros.
More areas would get unlocked as you play the story and they would get a timer next to them which you could immediately call them back through coins.
Did you know, there is a lv60 Taos boss on the mechonis sword that is way easier to break?
Not really. Just use Sena with Ogre for breaking. If you have it, equip a Break Brooch on her as well. That gives you at LEAST a 65 percent chance to break enemies
for Krabbles, there are some around lvl 50 in east Aetia by Well-Plated Zelinka

What I’ve done to farm items is set a character up on Miyabi’s weapon class and filled the master art slots with break, topple and daze to complete a whole combo with that one character and so I don’t kill higher level enemies quickly, right when I start a fight with an enemy I pull up tactics and set the party members to follow leader and as long as follow leader is on, the other party members will not attack at all until I turn it off. You’d be surprised with how many first combos you can do with this setup.
I don’t understand why I cannot setup the same moveset even if I have all the attacks. A message says that I cannot put more positional moves

You don't need more than 30 pieces of any material if you are only making the level X gems. While it's technically true that you need some materials for more than one level X gem, you'll never need the same quality for the other gem. For example you need legendary "Flak Scrap Iron" for the "Steel Protection X" gem but you only need the common version of the material for "Ultimate Counter X". And you'll get all qualities dropped at the same time, with the exception of having one of the highest "Enemy Drop Boost" food buffs because then some enemies stop dropping common quality materials. But I only encountered that problem when cooking Manana's "Crumblecrunch Block Bar".

Common Auxilia Exo Armor strategy:
Set Burst party level to 37 (lots of Way Home and Ring o'Roses)
Set difficulty to Hard
Control the Ogre with Break/Topple/Daze and Break Brooch/Gust Bracelet/Glistening Medal
Fight against the Auxilia closest to the climbable vine, opening with the three reactions, get 1-3 Bursts in, then Sheathe your weapon and climb the vine
It's important not to KO the Auxilia as it will respawn with full HP and it's close enough to the vine that you can rinse and repeat fairly quickly. Each attempt will usually yield 0-4 Common Auxilia Exo Armors. You can also attempt something similar by just running away before the Auxilia is KO, but it's faster to run to the vine, which is why I picked this Auxilia.

Thank you! Yours was definitely the quicker method, especially when I focused only on the lucky variants. The option showcased in the video proved to be much less efficient for me than suggested. I would go sometimes 10 or even 15 bursts across multiple kills without receiving a single egg of legendary quality. It was frustrating.

Yo pro tip guys if to travel to cascade crossroads landmark in the cadensia region and head down to the lower level towards Cape Arcaphor there are 5 higher level 50-51 flamiis there which have a much higher drop rate for purple items then the area mentioned in the video. I was able get 30 purple eggs in like 15 minutes or less!

Im 31 minutes in and this is absolutely brutal. I think the fact that some enemies dont have unique bosses tied to the material hurts a lot since stuff like the Caterpile drop like 5 things when you burst them making things incredibly slow. I can at least skip a few since I used gold coins on 2 gems but really thats barely anything in the grand scheme of things.

Now with the challenge mode allowing us to just buy golden nopon coins imma just do that to farm for gem upgrades. Anything to prevent me from needing to plan out a spreadsheet just for finding out what enemies hold the drops and which meal holds the highest chance of that item of the required rarity to drop. Seriously whoever allowed us to use nopon coins for this GOD BLESS YOU!
I did the nopon coin grind, it was very easy but it might have taken more but I think it was definitely worth it
I'd argue the Level Down mechanic in postgame makes Lapdog Veece a little more worth farming for Volffskin. Especially since you do have to kill it 15 times to upgrade its Soulhacker ability.

After that, it was a simple matter of keeping it out though I highly recommend isurd or (catalyst) as your hero less you want them to die instantly.
For me I went with a team of all Troubadour as they can do the whole combo each, and then just went to town inflicting burst again and again and again, Farming the Steelcleaver for example it took me one fight and I ended up with 77 Legendary Ardun Horns and more than 99 of each of the other rarities in a 10 minute long fight against Kilocorn Grandeps so made a bunch of G from it as well with the auto selling of stuff, seemed to work out really well and ends up with needing one battle really per UM for the stuff I'm crafing

Rhana and Quarmu ar missing in my books. It took me near to 40 houres to farm all the stuff and i missed 4 items in the end. I followes every Step for weeks :D Every day a bit more.

the items you pick off the ground are even recorded in the collectopedia... So pretty sure collectables are the ground pick ups. OP should adress this this to not confuse others..... good thing for me the mañana food I use has 35/35 of both lol

maybe late, someone mightve commented it already but one thing to note about the lower level UMs, if you manage to get a soulhacker burst team setup(which has pretty amazing survivability) you can delevel yourself to like 9 levels below the UM(not sure if red enemy level decreased the chance of break, felt like it) and you can burst them a lot, even more if you then set it to hard
i cant see (its as likely me as not) gastrates ether furnaces. i found a unique monster Infiltrator Garnach that drops them on the forth ixia bridge in syra hovering reefs

Garnach is a fairly breezy target to farm since he has so much HP.

I hope this helps, I used enel's guide for coin farming and leveled down (endgame required) and a lot of these guys I just had to fight once or twice and I got everything. Those fights take longer but you get the items faster
Also take note, if you put a break art and topple art/ or daze and burst art on the same slot both effects will apply (⬆️+X/ ➡️+Y/⬇️+B) . This is useful due to all these still being put into effect in chain attacks since all arts by default are fusion arts in chain attacks.
This also means to preferably have defender and healer classes due to them not getting as much tp in chain attacks/ stops it from by passing the limit, thus being able to pull more burst combos off
Another side note lol, wait until the enemy is almost dead, then chain attack. And also make sure to still go for the ourboros finish to make the most out of burst combos
I need to add to that, that fusing reactions only works with the master art serving as a later part of the combo. There might be a few exceptions to this rule but in the cases I've tried, I has only worked in that order (ex X=break, ⬆️=topple).
