- There's been much talking about it. . . today I finally unveil 7 new 38mm Islander dive watches. Some are like their full size 43mm brothers, and a couple are completely new designs. Smaller wrists rejoice!

I love the orange and yellow dial 38mm watch but the black bezel insert don't go well with it. Wish it had some orange and yellow or full orange and yellow bezel insert like the green watch to match its respective dial.
Marc I'd like to see some 38mm watches with more feminine colors at some point, is this something you are looking at?

These are fast becoming the go to... if you look at any other site and look at the short coming of the skx lines you have filled in the gaps... awesome job. I believe in the future, instead of asking do you have an skx in your line up, you will ask, ‘do you have an islander’... great job... 😊

Update? I love everything apart from the size, 40mm would be perfect and maybe slightly thinner.
@@kamasu4222 while I wish it was bigger Ive learned to appreciate the smaller size. I threw it on a jubilee and that gave it a completely different look.
The green is awesome... Need it in the 43.

Thank You for doing what all other brands are missing out. There are people out there in the world who are looking for small day date diver looking watches with ceramic bezel & sapphire crystal on a budget and you listened! Now if you could give the option of jubilee on all models it would really be great.

I've been on the lookout for a green diver and a smaller watch. Tempted to pull the trigger in an skx013 but an islander would kill two birds with one stone! They look good!

I've been wanting a quartz version of Marc's dive watches since he introduced them to the market. I just love the accuracy of quartz. BUT, when I saw the green dial 38mm, I said "take my money" and bought one. I am not disappointed.

I asked Marc to consider going with a pumpkin icon printed on the dial and possibly a black out motif and introducing as a Halloween Limited Edition.
I really like the 38mm size. I wear my SARB 033 that I got from you every day.
Wondering if your planned future designs might include a GMT watch with a true 24 hour hand?
That would be killer. GMT hand with bidirection rotating bezel.
Yeah... A GMT would be a must but for me as well.
Does anyone else hear "thirty millimeter" every time Mark says it, instead of "thirty eight"? His last video I noticed it as well....

Ordered! ISL 21 AND 24. Might have to wear both at the same time!
Would definitely prefer to see the 38's on the "J" bracelet as opposed to the "O" bracelet and I'm wondering if this model will eventually come out with an "J" bracelet offering or at least have it as an option. It gives it a little more of a dress diver look, as opposed to the more "toolish" look that the "O" bracelet gives off. I have a feeling if you were to sell the bracelets as an independent option that you'll probably sell a ton, where as they look to be very solidly built.
I do really like how that Azure blue/gray dial came out, and yeah, that "Hulk" also looks really nice.
just as a counter point, i love the O bracelet. the ISL-20 on a ratchet clasp is pretty much the perfect watch for me.

Islanders may be most of serious mid-size diver models in production right now.
Mid-size is a new upcoming niche. If appointed right (like these) you end up with a refined dress/sports watch.
I might seriously consider one of these, had I not been laid off this month. Suggest offering an option for the 12 hr dual time zone bezel for all of these. Unless I'm actually diving, the dual time zone bezel is more useful day-to-day.

It's like being a kid in a lolly shop (that's a candy store, for the USAians). Super colours. Please Marc, can we have that hulk in 43? And if you've got a minute, can you try the green bezel insert on a white dial? We'll wait for the Insta - I think green on white could be a surprise gem.

Ordered the upgraded black recently. Waiting for the mail. Was waiting for a better bracelet so thank you, Marc. The green is calling me as well. I thought I wanted the O style bracelet, but maybe the black dial and the J bracelet combined with 38mm looks a bit more refined. I would be all over a blue Islander pilot as well if it were 40mm..... ;)
Does the J bracelet still have that lovely taper? I would highlight a heavily tapered bracelet. That makes all the difference for those of us who don’t want four pounds of watch on the arm, and my wrist is just over 7. Still prefer 40mm or under. Wonderful work again, Marc. Thank you.
I agree on the "J" bracelet. I'm changing my "O" bracelet on my SKX013 mentioned in my Comment to a "J" bracelet from Strapcode. I just got it and will be changing out.
That green! Trying to tell myself 38 is too small just long enough for it to sell out. Now that green in a turtle, I would do things for that watch!

Wow so torn. I want the white with blue bezel cause of the fresh look it has plus the blue hands, but then the Pepsi is just so classssss. Oh but then the blue on blue just pops in the wrist and catches the eye... oh but wait, that green is just wow. Ahh.

The orange is really spot on but it seems the yellow has a green tint to it, almost like lime, I wouldn't pull the trigger on that one for that reason.
Well I just took deliver of an ISL19 (and love it) and then he brings out some more killer pieces. The white dial caught my eye.. or maybe the green. They'll be gone in a jiffy.
WOW!! Great line up Marc. Some really nice improvements with the bracelets with the screws to adjust and milled clasp for the same price. The hard part is picking out a color. Some great choices. Really nice to see some 38mm watches having a 6.8-inch wrist is a great size.

You’re on top of things Mark! I like your 40 mil versions from my 7 1/2 inch wrist...I have two and would love to have more! This 38 mill is perfect my nephew With a six and three-quarter inch wrist. Ordering his birthday present this week.

I will be returning a ISL21(Green). So for those who want missed out and want the ISL21 this one should be back inventory soon. It goes to the UPS drop off this morning, May 26.
For those who missed it this does have a double domed sapphire crystal and a virturally seamless.
transition between bezel insert and crystal...this is really nice! It does have screw posts to adjust bracelet versus push pins (what I had waited for). There are a couple of tweaks that I would have preferred on the hour indicator dots and the hour and minute hands. Perhaps in future releases this may be an option...maybe a custom.
Great job Marc. Seen a bit of the red ar coating on double dome recently. I know people making all sorts of suggestions but just thought it might be something which might help you tie in with another model. Best to you.
These just look stunning. As an owner of a classic SKX I would love to get hold of an Islander with these better specs (and it would be nice to have one of these 38 mm versions as well, being a smaller wrist person). Unfortunately living in Scandinavia the ridiculous import tax (based on price PLUS shipping) together with customs fee brings down the joy. :(
