But nevertheless I like that you can do the fruits the way you did, so I will be attempting to do that more often. I have a smoker and have made real good Jerky, but it's also snowing and cold so I can't exactly do what I want at this time. Lol
Would impede the air flow circulation. The screens made for that purpose work very well and are much more easily cleaned than having to scrub the bare trays.
Am I the only one who fits 4 or 5 apples on a tray? I use an apple peeler / corer, cut the spirals in half and then overlap them on the tray usually 3 deep but not lined up. It usually takes me 2 days to dry them (I have 7 or 8 trays) Morning and evening I shuffle the trays so they dry more evenly. Have fun drying!
I have the normal. Cheaper nesco that you just turn on with a switch and cannot control temp which I use for jerky only and literally it's mind numbing loud.... I've actually resorted to putting in the basement to run it while doing the jerky!!!
You need the plastic mesh screen to put under the strawberries or cut up a 100% cotton bed sheet the size if the tray and be sure you make hole in middle

Probably not , this is a really old type of dehydrator
