*Remember that this saw needs to have adjustments made to make 0 or 90 cuts accurately **MyBest.Tools** I had to use a right angle on the deck and blade and then adjust the bolt to get the correct reading. Once this is done, it works great.*
I really like these sorts of job site/shop infrastructure. They're super interesting and sometimes give me good ideas for my own setup or inspire me for something else
Not something that I have, but I really like your solutions to problems. I always like to see how people modify their tools to fit their specific needs. I’m always chicken to start modifying the tools themselves but when I have done that for a specific operation it has helped tremendously.
8:24 The back stealth mounts are not locking into the back spaces of the tool box. The plywood deck raises up a bit which is binding your connection. Maybe you already figured that out so I will continue watching. I love innovators......great idea!
This is absolutely PERFECT. I'm in the process of saving for a van but I really need a chop saw for doing trim work. I used Packout and my car is overflowing with boxes and tools. There is no way I could get a set of stands in my car with the space I have left. I have just enough left for the saw. So this is the perfect solution! I'll make this and use my stack as a stand
Nice video. That looks like it'll be super handy. Keep up the good work. "Regular guy" tool mods are always awesome! It would be great to see more on that.
Thank you for watching! Its really going to help me work smarter. Usually I just bring the miter saw to a job and work off the floor because I dont want to deal with the stand, now I know ill use it all the time! Thanks!
Great freaking video man. Just found you. I have an okd smaller corded chop saw mounted to one of the packout worktops. I have 3 stacks on 4 wheel dollys. One is the packout dolly the other two are made in house. Even went a little crazy and made one for the original 2 wheel rolling box.
Genius. just might have to copy this 🤭. I’ll be so angry if my JCB chopsaw doesn’t fit the same dimensions it’ll be on fb marketplace if it doesn’t haha.
Nice work on the adapter I also wish that the wheels were more robust for actual ground use (not shop floor) and I wish they would come up with a lift system for loading and unloading (a 125 to 150 lb pack out gets to be a chore)
Very cool, especially if you have to go into a building with a service elevator. Just curious, do the stock supports on the miter stand have enough adjustment to make up for the saw being raised a little bit higher with the packout plate?
Thanks! Yeah i was worried about that but its just enough! Thats part of the reason I used 1/2" plywood instead of 3/4" Luckily this little saws pretty slim.
I thought about doing the same ' as some times I have to work in the city of bath here in the UK. where parking is expensive or can't park at the job .so I have to take the bus in . The packout would be a great way of transporting the chopsaw making it a portable work station. Perhaps you can knock some up with 18mm and put them up for sale .
Nice job Chris. Simple, concise and super functional, the best kind of project! I enjoy this type of content so please create more. The adapter plate and the clips open up soo many other possibilities! Now you just need to make an adapter for your anvil 😂 Also enjoy the Hand Made podcast! If someone reading this doesn't know about it, I encourage you to go subscribe. Great podcast with Chris, DerekfromMalden and Paul Pinto.
I really like this. I've been considering the packout dolly system for work, but have been dissuaded so far by reviews saying the wheel system isn't very robust. I do like the ideas of the large wheels the dolly has, how has yours held up?
I really do like it, check out Kaizen Inserts they make a really nice wheel kit for the large rolling toolbox. The 4 wheel dolly is also super nice, and if you needed larger or stronger wheels it would be super easy to upgrade them. I know it seems weird to buy something with the thoughts of having to upgrade, but that being said ive had this stuff for a few years and its all held up really well!
They probably thought of it but decided to defer on that until they make some more money being the exclusive provider. They always underestimate "where there is a will, there is a way" :)
Addresses a lot of the comments from your work van build out video about the saw hitting you in the back of the head :) th-cam.com/video/cCDSCie6uUk/w-d-xo.html
Funny, I know a lot of guys with makita, Bosch, even dewalt tools running the packout system for storage and transport solutions, even though is expensier than dewalt. Maybe you should try milwaukee before hating.
I think Milwaukee didn't come out with an adapter plate for mounting their miter saw to the PACKOUT system is liability. A miter saw or any table saw should be operated on a strong and stable platform, the PACKOUT is strong but might not be an ideal platform to operate a miter saw on it.

Cool! You can also make plates and mounts for other tools too, like you could build a portaband station and a router station. Super handy!
Exactly! There are a lot of possibilities for this system!

I like the combination of milwaukee, rigid and ryobi parts who said you can't combine tool companies very ingenious.
They're the same company😮
I have done the same, but used t-nuts to bolt the saw to the board. I also have another plate on the wall and hang my saw there when not in use.
I did the same thing for my Bosch 24v Miter. Great way to add versatility 👌

I have Milwaukee chop saw great bit of kit but didn’t think about the Milwaukee rack to put it on my stand thanks Simon England 🏴
Very creative. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Keep making God bless.
Thank you so much for following along!

I’m going to use Azek just in case it rains. Great video 👍🏼
Hell yeah. Bring on the tool mods!

Like the concept but my question is why not just use the Milwaukee mounting plate to bolt on ur miter saw directly to it why make the wood plate?

This is exactly what I was looking for 👍
Good ideas. What is the 2-rail device your base is mounted to? Thanks
It’s a ryobi miter saw stand from home depot

Great video and project concept. Mahalo for sharing! : ) 🐒
Arrrrrgh! I’ve been looking for a Ridgid saw just like that! Why would they discontinue it?
Great video !! Thanks
Milwaukee Tool: Why didn’t we think of that?
its cheaper to let the hive mind come up with solutions sometimes!

@@MakeEverything this concept was already created a year ago with a rigid toolbox system. Nothing new here.

packout is weak. trying hard to keep up with dewalt. they cant touch dewalt van rack system
