There's still lots of bugs and pesticides in your kale if you'reonly washing in water! Everyone know how to wash anything in water, but Kale/green has to be properly wash to get rid of small insects/worms/pesticides that cling onto the leaves. Best to use vinegars or baking soda. Soak in water and a tablespoon of vinegar or baking soda for few minutes then drain and rinse off with water.
Thank you very much! I have wasting time washing my kale for 30 an hour by washing it under running water tap and dreading the whole thing so many thanks.
I soak it in Himalayan salt water or apple cider vinegar water so far. Is that a waste of money? Then, I go in for a swish in a bowl like what's in the video. THEN I rinse in a colander. There's a lot of bugs stuck in the FRILLS.
I would assume if there was any bacteria it just hung on to the kale and you will get really sick when you eat it. I’ll look for a more thorough method.

I was taught to use baking soda & water to wash off the greens.

What ratio do you use?
dunkin kale in dirty chlorine tap water isn't cleaning it
I mean.... it kinda is more clean

TBSP Vinegar, Baking Soda or Salt. Let sit for I'd say at least 7-10 minutes. That's my personal preference.
That is not efficiant enough to clean off pesticides from Kale. I tried it. Next option...
How do you know there were pesticides on your kale after washing? Do you have a home lab? LOL
food grade peroxide
@@falcon759 yes I have some pesticide test. The pesticides stay there if you don't wash them with warm weather and royal baking soda.
swish swish swish! :)
You don't wash it with vinegar?
Britney B yes you do.
no you don't
this is a rinse. It doesn't disinfect anything.
I heard that the grit on the kale can hurt your teeth. Anybody have info on that?
REALLY fine grit may actually polish your teeth.
Pesticides?
I don't think so because its organic.
she's gorgeous.
🤣🤣
Worst advice known to man kind. She’s really advising people that Water will get rid of all that nasty sands and bugs?? Ummm ew.
those bugs are good for you. to get rid of all the sand you have to use a sandblaster.
Not helpful at all.
