"Which is a perfectly rational reaction to a piece of fiction." 😂 Well done, mate! You put in a lot of facts and trivia that I definitely didn't know. I do have a soft spot for this movie, just on nostalgia alone. Seeing it in the theater was one of the biggest geek moments for a young me, and even though my nitpicky brain can't help but have serious logistical problems with the Nexus (especially with how Picard gets out of it--all in-film evidence seems to point to him STILL being in it, really), I will always gladly give it a watch. And my eyes will water when Data reunites with Spot, every time.
