He introduced me to one of his similar fan friends, Graeme Flanagan, who wrote a bio bibliography on Robert Bloch. When Graeme and his family visited America, they stayed with us for a few days. He'd had Bob sign a copy for me, one of the few special edition hard covers. Bob signed it: "To Geoffrey Gould, who needs another signed book of mine like a hole in the head, but it's easier to sign my name than to drill a hole"...

You're missing one HUGE Easter egg here. In the original Halloween movie where Michael Myers stabs everyone, the production team needed a scary mask for him. They looked all over and there was no mask on set. So they went down to a store and bought the first mask they could find. A Captain Kirk mask. They simply painted it white. Once you see it, you can't unsee it.

It's very hard for me to pick a favorite episode. Picking one from each season...probably Balance of Terror from Season 1, Doomsday Machine from Season 2, and All Our Yesterdays from Season 3...but I honestly love them all!

Halloween is my all time favorite holiday & when I was a kid in the 1960s I always looked forward to the various TV series like Bewitched & Addams Family doing Halloween episodes. Catspaw was a fun Halloween addition to this theme & the important thing about this episode is that it is fun & entertaining. William Shatner is a great actor & always entertains ! The original Star Trek series is still the best one ! ❤😂❤

Thanks for the reply. People who make fun of William Shatners acting skills are just plain jealous. Over the years he has done many memorable movies & TV series. I enjoy his hosting on the current Unexplained TV series. You are correct most new TV series do not bother much with holiday themed episodes and they are not as fun and imaginative as previous TV series of the 1960s. I loved TV series like Wild Wild West ... The Avengers ... Dark Shadows ... and of course original Star Trek because they were not afraid to have plots go outside the norm and delve into fantastic plots ! All of these great shows had remakes that are not as good with some being quite awful. Back then the producers seemed to take great care with storylines and finding the best actors for the roles. I'm racking my brain, but I believe the only time Christmas ever appeared in the franchise was in Star Trek Generations during Picard's dream in the Nexus. That's it! Hate to be the one to say it. But the 'Catspaw' episode is considered by the old ST Television audience to be the 2nd worst one of the ST: TOS series. The first worst being, 'Spock's Brain.'
