Her covers are always so amazing! My recommendations, if I may, for a next listen would be something from one of her concerts, perhaps Through the Eyes of a Child at Nidarosdomen, or Infections of a Different Kind at the Haik concert. The concert at Nidarosdomen is great because it's a very old cathedral and Aurora is accompanied by a string orchestra and choir as well as her band, the arrangements are wonderful and the sound is superb. Haik is cool because it's outdoors in the forest with a small audience of real fans, and you can see how Aurora interacts with them.
Incredible cover and Aurora sound. And as far I know it was one of covers made within a hour (like with many her P3 covers). You can see some notes behind her and her backup singer. I also love how she change the vibe of the song and in this purpose she also skip some parts of lyrics with vocalizing. Amazing. Thx for a reaction!

I hope this isn't just a one off though. I quite like your entire vibe....and there's so much brilliant Aurora material you haven't done yet. The big two are definitely It Happened Quiet live @ The Current and Lucky live @ Nidarosdomen. Those 2 performances are huge in the Aurora fan world for a reason. Anyway, hope you return to Aurora soon! I always get so bummed out when I come across a cool reactor, only to see they do an artist like Aurora, fall in love with her, and then go for months or even years before doing more stuff from her. Oh well...def first world problems lol.

Pretty darn good considering Aurora and her band had 1 hour to put that together. Aurora had written notes on the piano and Silja Sol (harmonies) was holding written notes. A lot of artists couldn't put something together like that in an hour. Aurora has a little known cover of the late Nick Drake song "Pink Moon" it's a short song. Here's the link.

I imagine Aroura picked this song to cover because she likes idea that God is a women.
The story behind this is that they give the band a selection of a few songs and the band has an short period of time to recreate it. Aurora dislikes pop music, but she chose this song because she thought it would be easy to recreate and she could relate to the idea of god being a woman. She changed the lyrics because she didn't like the hypersexualized lyrics.
