BETTY'S BAY PARKRUN 13 MAY 2023

So this production is about me, doing my 100th parkrun at Betty's Bay on 13 May 2023. With a GoPro strapped to my chest, I set off with the aim to reach this milestone with my best time of the year. At the 3km mark it looked as if I am not going to make it. But without the usual stops to get footage for my videos, lovely cool weather for running and still some strength in my legs over the last 300 meters for a dash to the finish line, I finishes in 33:03, my best time since 1 October last year. My interviews with other milestone achievers will have to stand over for a next production, but congratulations to Audrey Zietsman, who also ran her 100th and two volunteers, Hannes Hofmeyr and Jean Eccles, for their reaching their milestones of 100.
