Cheer cashy. Plenty of bio for what i want. Yeah I can imagine the raised eyebrows 😂 it will end up with k1 in at some point but I want to try few things before for comparison
Hi mate I look after a pond at work which has a pump fed /gravity return cloverleaf filter the last bay has Alfagrog in it Now I’ve only been there for just over a year and looked into changing a few things Which one was going to be taking the alfagrog out and making it into a moving bed with K1+ Only reason being when I looked into alfagrog it’s recommended to change 3/4 of it every year What’s your view on that Also didn’t realise there was two grades of it Can’t wait to see your fish in after the work you’ve put in
Hi there. What are you wanting to achieve with the changes is how i would be looking at it? So this is exactly why I've gone this route I've seen so many different views and wives tales on what you do and don't have to do with it. I've never replaced it after years of use on an aquarium. So again not sure why you would need to replace it after a period on a pond? We shall see how it goes in mine over the next year. On the cloverleaf, that wouldn't be a very big moving bed chamber, so not sure what you'll achieve. Bio capacitywise , I have seen People have moving beds in them but normally as a smaller part of a larger filter set up. Cheers for watching ☺️👍
Great bit of timing for you then 😂. I've been using 30kg on my ibc and had some fantastic results. I'll be showing that in next few weeks so hopefully that will help you more 😊
Hi mate can u help me iv got a draco drum in my nexus it was working but now it's stop the controller box has a red light flashing off and on and the drum don't turn round thanks
I don't have anything for sale unfortunately I don't have a spare box etc, just made best of what we have. The motor itself is possible tonfox. What's exactly your issue with it? Feel free to email me, see if I can help. theorchardkoi@gmail.com
My favourite media, might not be as good as some of the expensive stuff but still really good and gets the job done and you can get 5kg for less than £15
Cracking update Dave and there's nowt wrong with alfagrog bruva 💯🧁👍👍👍 And even though you're in a Polytunel i would still lag the tanks, pipework and filters as well as a ducting box for the ASHP as well as lid the vortex and tanks with perspex 💯🧁👍👍👍
Cheers dude. Yeah all part of the plan, but that won't be getting down till end of the year. Slowly but surely tho. Rome an all that. I'm still collecting packaging for insulation🤣👍
Great update Dave! I like your alfagrog setup and think you doing a good thing there! 👍
Cheers dude. Hopefully give me plenty of bio support 🤞🤞
Great progress Dave, keep them coming. Thank you
Cheers shaun will do😊👍
Great update Dave. Love the huge bio chamber. Not sure on the plan for the Nexus but I’ll be watching for the results. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
