Hi Dave, Another great update on the pond project and the fish are looking amazing mate and congratulations on winning the grow and show that you did mate. Steve
@@OrchardKoi Could the feeding have been more aggressive in terms of Grow and Show? In any case, I'm looking forward to more when it reach 50 cm or more from next year onwards!!
@atsuminaoki9910 yes a little if I had a bigger environment for them I could have pushed it harder, problem is having the space as a hobbyist to split up the different size fish for best feeding. However 30cm at just over 5 months is still pretty good. Biggest at that point was 34cm. Oh yes it defo will be pushed on next year don't you worry 😂😊👍
Congratulations on your win, delighted for you. A real plus to your efforts. Same as yourself, plan on using a different food,as the cost is far to much for the overall results. Looking at Nutramare from Germany and is about half the price and claims to only use top ingredients and seems to have got a big following already. So figure it's worth a try. Mine wouldn't have the massive size yours have gained, but they were in a much smaller system than yours. All going into the main pond and running an inline heater for now, till I get the funds to get the air source. Be interesting to see what you make of the takazumi? Already tried it myself. Along with a good few others,so hoping the Nutramare is as good as claimed. Some top koi throughout your cats, definitely a lot to hold onto, now the hard part, which ones🤯
@@TerryOConnell-u8j cheers Terry, the results I'm really pleased with, but I have used over 120kg of food this year. So you can see the price problem. Yes nutramare is on my list I've been researching heavily, I'm just yet to find a case study I'm happy is a good reflection but the science seems spot on. And we don't talk about what I'm getting rid of🤣😂 I burry my head in the sand 🤣😂 cheers as ever dude 😊👍
