Always honest and genuine there’s a lot of people suffering the same but good to see someone do a gill scrap it is scary 😮
Thanks buddy 👍🏼 Appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment. Best wishes 😊
Good luck on the treatment Dave keep me posted on how your sturgeons get on with the treatment
I’m on my 3rd week now with treatment for Costia I’ve taken my sturgeon out because I’m using Formaldehyde and Malachite
Hey Dave, yes it is bloody scary when they're right under with the sedate! I had to do a check up on my biggest the other week, he's 82cm we found out - that's why the bowl was too small he was thrashing about and was taking a long time to go under so I splashed a bit extra in, which worked but then I was beginning to panic when waiting for him to recover
It seems to take bloody ages doesn’t it! Hopefully your checks were ok and the big one is all happy and healthy 👍🏼
Ull smash them little bliters sir, just a reminder always check ur bottom drain and the ponds, great info, cheers Terry,
Unfortunately along with the warmer Spring temperatures come the parasites. All part of the joy, or should I say frustration, of keeping koi. Hope you get everything sorted soon.
Thanks Dave, nice honest update. Hope the treatments work! 👍
Thanks buddy. Really appreciate you watching. Best wishes 👍🏼
Amazing video as always mate 👏Welcome to the club I think nearly everyone has the deadly combo of fluke and trich atm . I’ve tried fluke M , FMG and it’s now forced me to try PP as they are fighting me 😂 .
Honestly - it’s a bloody nightmare isn’t it! Really hope you get on top of your issues. Best wishes 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
That time of year again mate hopefully you nail um and a quick fix in the same boat myself atm mine are still flicking around it’s nice to find what you are dealing with straight away init
Microscope is definitely a must have isnt it. Got your video to watch 👍🏼 Hope all is well your end. Enjoying watching the grow on….. I’m a little jealous 😬😂 Have a top weekend buddy 😘
@@edenkoipond you to mate I will have to pop up and see you this year mate
Bless your heart Dave. I honestly can hear your frustration in your voice. I'm so sorry you have to deal with these dang parasites. I'm so glad we don't have to deal with that here. I'm always amazed at all the hard work you do to keep your beautiful koi healthy. I pray this treatment works for you.
Thanks for such a lovely message 👌🏼 Being honest, I think we try to keep the water too clean. My dads pond rarely gets cleaned or played with and he has no problems at all. Hope your having a great weekend 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
@@edenkoipond maybe that's the key, who knows. I just feel so bad for everyone of you guys that deal with this. We tend to do what your dad does, so maybe that has something to do with it. It sure is sad to watch you guys go through this, time, and time again. ❤️
Thanks 4 sharing this bro.. good learning…
Thank you for watching 👍🏼👍🏼
Bonjour. Really helpful video and insight into how everyone treats their pond 👍 useful information with treatments with sturgeon in the pond. I’ve had costia and done a PP treatment but thinking I might have to do fmg aswel.
It’s never ending isn’t it! How long did you use the PP for? Really hope you’ve got it all sorted now 👍🏼👍🏼
@@edenkoipond all good at the moment I just dosed the amount for my pond and left it for 4-5 hours but not bright purple for the whole time koi were so much more active the next day 👍
Good to hear they were brighter 👍🏼
Hoping the treatments knocked the flukes and tric out of your pond David! 🙏🏻
Good man. Yep, had flukes. Nightmare. 👍🏼👍🏼
Hope you get it sorted buddy 👍🏼 Happy Easter 🐣 👌🏼
Good video Dave 👍
Damn parasites 😠
Hope you're well.
Thanks buddy. Hope your weekends going well 👍🏼
@@edenkoipond Not too bad thanks.
Need to catch up soon.
Gutted about the parasites but absolutely fecking awesome not seeing a click bait title about it 💯🧁👍👍👍
Fingers crossed you get them nailed Dave bruva 🧁👍👍👍
Oi - This ain’t keeping it koi 😂 Hope all is well your end buddy. Need to make sure we catch up this year!!!!!
Hi Dave, I feel your pain mate, Ive been the same, just before the winter and then again once the temps came back up. To the point I’m now adding a little heat, but my puddle is tiny and indoors, so easier. Good luck mate, hope you’ve now zapped them…. ⚡️ 🤞🏼
Not a great start to the season 😂 Still, if it was easy it would be boring. Hope you are well and having a good weekend 👍🏼
@@edenkoipond Haa! Yes, very well said Dave….. 👍🏼👍🏼
Yeah all good thanks mate. 😊
Hope all treatments do the business Dave..........make a "Check ya Valves" sign for the top of your filter , for a reminder every time you tinker with it 😊
Hi Dave great video do u always add treats in the return section of your nexus not seen that I add directly to pond but suppose all roads lead to Rome and like your method better
Hiya buddy. It depends on the treatment. Some specifically say to spread on the pond so follow those instructions. Using the outlet is really me being lazy 😂 Thanks for watching 👍🏼
@@edenkoipond hi Dave I’ve tried it pal brilliant even spread
Beautiful Fish mate, Great Body!
Thanks for tuning in buddy 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Nice update Dave 👍 bloody parasites 🦠🦠
⛩🐟⛩
Thank you 🙏🏼 Hope you are well 😊👍🏼
Don't forget to do the nets aswell dave 👍
Hay Mr - hope you are recovering well 👍🏼
Sedateing koi for scrapes is best way but it does screw up looking for the smaller parasites that you need to move to realy see
A very good point. With the Phenoxyethanol it does limit the viewing time. Doesn’t help this time of year with parasites being slower due to the cold. It’s an interesting hobby to say the least 😭😭😭
@@edenkoipond scrapeing is a hard thing to do so using sedate is better for koi aswell as the more you try and keep them still the harder to get good scrape and the bigger the koi bloody harder to stay dry lol its a no win situation isnt it maybe use a tiny bit of sedate to calm them abit might try that next time parasites getting mire common we never had issues when we all had green water 😅
Totally agree. My dad barely touched his pond - never has deaths and never has issues 🙄🤦🏼♂️
@@edenkoipond think we worry now about water clarity now my mate lets his pond go green every 3 years his fish grow more that green year and colour up far better than when hes clean and on saki colour in summer
Seems like we're all suffering atm Dave, hope you get them sorted 👍🏼👌🏼
Bit of a nightmare start isn’t it 🙄 Still, finally spring! Longer days and warmer weather 😊👍🏼
That time of year again 😔👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Tell me about it 😭😭 Hope all’s ok with your pond 👍🏼👍🏼
Bloody things🤬 nice of Icklesham to drop you the treatments off, not many would do that👌 hopefully you are at the top end of them now👍
I’m hoping so! Icklesham koi are very good to me (I’m their biggest pain 😂) Hope you and the family are having a good weekend. You best be out doing that grow on 😉😉
Hi Dave
I have got the same problem Found Tric 4 weeks ago treated for it re scraped week later Tric all gone then found fluke treated lernex pro for 2 weeks then just found Tric again absolute nightmare.
It’s like a bloody carousel of issues isn’t it 😭😭 Hope yours are all sorted now. Thanks for watching 👍🏼👍🏼
Nightmare innit. I've got flashing and lethargic fish one minute and then they seem fine again but I've done multiple scrapes and can't find anything. They seem to be improving as it's getting warmer. Will just have to keep an eye on things. Good luck Dave 👍
Not a great start to the season is it 😭 Still, spring is around the corner and temps are picking up. Hope you get yours sorted 👍🏼👍🏼
Dave could you help me please? When I've done my scrapes and checked the slides I have dark circles with a dot of light in the middle. Are these just bubbles? They don't move or have a hairy outer like tric. Thanks
From what you describe - 100% yes. A black outline with a single light colour tend to be bubbles. They’ll usually be very visible at lower magnification. If they have anything in the circle - always best to check it out further 👍🏼
@@edenkoipond brilliant thanks I thought so.
Bouncy durex😂😂
Me again I ment treatment m8
Poor Grumps ☹️
He’ll be ok 👌🏼
Not good for you or the pond but really interesting to watch the process of testing and the results. Bit nail biting at the end but you’re quite the pro, your fish are defo in safe hands.
@lyn5121 Thanks ma 😬😬
Love to see the card 👌
One of my favourite pond gifts 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
