Exactly what I have been looking for. I'm a total 'zero knowledge' learner and aim to have my triangle shawl ready for the coming winter. Thank you for making this video. Looking forward to making my first ever project a success.
Oooo!! I’m so excited to FINALLY learn how to crochet a shawl so that it widens at a faster rate than it lengthens- simply with a double treble stitch at each end. So brilliant!! Of course I’m going to make this shawl… but I’m also going to try the “double treble technique” on other patterns to see if it will improve the proportions a bit. Thank you, Rebekah! You really are the best. ❤
So far this is my favorite pattern for a shawl! First because it’s easy enough for my beginner mind to follow. Second because it doesn’t get extremely long in the back. And third because it’s more solid, less openings in the pattern which should make it warmer I think. Checks all the boxes I wanted for a nice warm shawl for a 90+ year old friend! Thank you very much!
Perfect for my 'backpacking project'. The simplicity of the pattern, the simple to follow instructions and the lovely end result is so easy to pick-up and put-down, which is perfect for travelling. Thank you!
It will get a wonderful shawl..you explained it very clearly and with a voice who is very symphatic. Sorry my English. Thanks a lot and nice evening. Greetings from Switzerlsnd🇨🇭. love your work. Maggy ❤
Thank you! I could not figure out why my shawl wouldn't expand and my point was so sharp. The double treble at both ends really did the trick! I can't wait to finish this shawl, i am so happy with how it is turning out. Thanks again!
Love this pattern and very excited to try it!! I am a US crocheter, the stitch you call treble, I know as a double since you only wrap the hook once. For a treble you wrap the hook twice before going through the stitch - totaling 4 loops on the hook after going through the stitch (a double only has 3 on the hook). I was a taught by a lady born in the 50s who was taught by her grandmother who was born in the early 1900s.
Love this. Easy to follow. Thank you for video & mentioning yarn brand & type at the end. Regards. Rose 🌼 PS: When I look for information on crochet on TH-cam I ask for UK stitches. America... same crochet & different names to stitches. I'm just not good enough & get confused. So I stick to UK patterns.. as 1 type is enough for me🎉
You can slow it down by tapping screen once. Tap icon thats something like a wheel. Go up one or two speeds and that's it slowed down. Hope this helps.
thank you so much for the tutorial ❤ would it be better if I blocked it or is it fine if I don't? I always feel a little insecure about that specific part of crocheting
She is using Dk #3 wt yarn and I think a G hook. She said you could use a larger hook if you want more drape (something not as tight and thick. ) If you use a #4 wt, it suggests usually 5.5mm I hook. But you can go up to 6 or 6.5mm. I too would like to know how many yards if DK. Usually I can make a prayer shawl with a little less than 3 skeins of #4 wt I love This Yarn 355 yds each skein. 3 to be sure.
Will this method of putting a treble at the beginning and at the end of each round, can that be used on any pattern that calls for a triangle shawl. I find they are too long for me.
Spent so much time rewinding but couldn't clearly see where the needle was actually going as your thumb was covering the work! Found a clearer and MUCH MORE beginner friendly demo elsewhere.
Love this pattern...🎉 You demonstrate "how to" so clearly!
Thanks again
You’re welcome 😊 and thank you 🌸
Thankyou so much for stitching SLOWLY so every step is easily seen and understood.
Love how simple this shawl is. Thank you 😊

Love this! How can you turn this into a blanket?
Hi Allison I really enjoy your tutorials I need a border for this shawl please
Can I ask what yarn/colours you used it’s gorgeous thanks xx
It’s Stylecraft Sweet Dreams Mermaid 🧜🏻♀️
I often do 1stitch -2chain-1 stitch as I prefer a rounder point on my shawls.
Lovely! 🍁🤎
L O VE THIS THANKS
Thank you! 🌸

could I ...at the spine...do 1 stitch , one chain and one stitch? to get a softer point, at the point of the triangle ??????? thanks ♥
You can absolutely give that a try - I’m not 100% sure if it’ll lay totally flat but it should do! 🥰
Hello! Thank you for this wonderful tutorial, however my only concern is that I don’t know how to finish off once I’ve completed the shawl?
thank you so much for the tutorial ❤ would it be better if I blocked it or is it fine if I don't? I always feel a little insecure about that specific part of crocheting
is ther
e a picture somewhere of the whole finished shawl? The part I can see is beautiful
Oh,what yarn is this? I have to have it.
What weight yarn are you using and how many yards are needed?
Yes i would like to know as well and what size hook and can it be made with a 4 weight aran 4 weight meaning in the US

@@spcatmom thanks!

Should both sides have the same numbers of stitches

This was the one but I waant to use granny pattern
How much yarn do I need?
Could someone please tell me what yarn this is and how much I need. Thank you.
To do a big shawl you'll need close to 900 yards ,if smaller you can get away with 600 yards ot so , using a size 4 yarn 😊
@ thank you !
found it!
How much yarn do you use
❤❤
Can you please give me a pattern for the Shawell at no cost, please?
Have been searching for triangle shawl instruction that I can follow. I will keep searching because this one is not easy. It goes too fast for me,

Sorry to hear that 🌸
Too fast for me slow down
She did not do a good job explaining she went to fast she did. Not explain things clearly and went way to fast idk why she named this ( BEGINNERS
You can slow the video speed in settings. Even beginner patterns expect knowledge of the basic stitches.
