My goal is to make three, one for myself and two to give away to women (like myself), with metastatic breast cancer. The meds we’re on make it difficult to regulate our body temperature and having a shawl to wrap around can come in handy, especially in the chemo ward where it’s always kept cold!
Jennifer!!! You have spoiled me! Your crocheting videos are the very BEST! I have problems watching others, as they don’t contain the detail that yours do! Your instructions are great !Thank you for sharing!
Your tutorials are the best!!! I’m working on my fifth shawl!! Great gifts!! Lovely pattern and sooo easy!! You are the best teacher!! I added fringe to all of mine. Gives a nice finished look!!!❤
I love how alternating two simple stitch patterns adds an extra layer of texture. Rather than the entire shawl being a dense grouping of stitches we have a lacier feel interspersed for contrast. So pretty!
Thank you for the lovely shawl. My project of the year is shawls, wraps and lap robes for hospice patients. I think the rectangular wraps are more sensible for less mobile individuals. I’m starting this today. I will be using some O Gos in pink and gold that I was gifted.
WOW….. this video came up in my suggestions.. hmmmmm I quilt, I REALLY don’t do “hand work” per se. I have crocheted many many years ago. Powder blue is one of my ‘absolutely NOT’ colours…….. BUT the shawl looked SEW lovely, I had to watch the video. I’m glad I did! Your voice, your teaching, your repeat reminders are FANTASTIC! The videoing is superb; we can’t miss a single detail. (I love your crochet hook, by the way). If any video could entice me to drag out the crochet hooks, this would be it. The pattern doesn’t seem insanely complicated, and the final product of the shawl is wonderful. I wear scarves/shawls ALL year long. […..mmmm maybe a 3 week period in the summer time -neck injury that functions best when kept warm & dry]. SEW for me to tackle a lovely shawl like this one, in multi coloured yarns…….. yes, I could see that happening….😍 Thanks for a fantastic tutorial, and video. xoxo e. NB. 🇨🇦
I always get so excited when you come out with a new pattern! I can't wait to make this. It's so lovely and feminine. I'm making mine out of 2 skiens of Red Heart Super Saver Ombre.
My WIPs and TO DO LIST are getting longer. 😂Thank you so much, Jennifer. As I said before, 90% of my projects are from your tutorials. Easy to follow, no yarn restrictions. 🧶
Beautiful shawl! I have checked the Hobbii site for Acrylic XL, as mentioned in video, but cannot find a listing. Did I misunderstand the name of the yarn?
What color are you making yours? Solid, striped or variegated? Comment below! 💖
Beautiful. Can't wait to make it!

Not sure what color I’ll make them - I do like the blue, but thinking an ombré might be lovely!
Using mandala yarn
I'll make both variegated and solid. ❤
