Grateful for your video! Thanks for sharing your story, the way you described your son it’s exactly how my son is. I also got told he has severe ADHD & they even added ODD. Thank God for professionals who help & listen to us moms!

My kids have come a long way, and I have learned so much more over the years. Thank you so much for asking!

@@navigatingautismwithdani very nice to hear. I am suspecting that my son is on the spectrum. He does not have any repetitive behaviour but he is lacks Pragmatic speech and would look away when not interested and seems awkward. He is almost 3 and no communication. I pray that i would see a day where he would ask for my attention or shows me something ... diagnosis is over a year away where I am :(

This was soooo helpful thankyou, I live in the UK 🇬🇧 and I have been struggling to understand what is wrong with my son, I was going crazy but I know now he is autistic and I need to be patient and get him diagnosed.
I sent him to a religious school but I think he needed a special school

It's funny because my second was so hard to get diagnosed and now he seems way more autistic than his older brother who was diagnosed easily. Sometimes with age it becomes more and more apparent, but it's a shame they have to get older and miss out on the help to get diagnosed. Just keep trying, and try to find a doctor who understands higher functioning autism symptoms and you will have better luck. Good luck!!

@@navigatingautismwithdaniit’s funny you say this. My 9 year old was just how you describe your youngest except he didn’t have any speech delay either. He was highly verbal from 9-10 months old. He was very hard to get diagnosed or to have many people see what we saw. Everyone just said adhd.
By age 7, his autism was more noticeable but still not taken seriously by the schools. By age 8, his anxiety and social struggles were so bad that he totally shut down and refused school or any other outings at all. Now at 9, he seems way more stereotypically autistic than any of the other “higher functioning” kids we know.
He barely leaves our house and only speaks to people he’s comfortable around. Very limited eye contact. And rarely has a real conversation or discussion except about his interests.
