These are just some things that I think would be effective in taking first steps to getting a girlfriend if you are shy. I'm 41 and have never even been kissed. Never dated. Never had a girlfriend EVER! And I'm not even bad looking. Just a little overweight (which I'm working on). I guess I just have a lousy, quiet personality. I can barely even make eye contact with a woman. I always get pissed off at myself. this video made me cry because I remembered I'll never find anyone. I really tried last time I had a class with a girl I was interested in but I could never talk to her after class because she went a different direction after class and I didn't want to stalk her or be creepy. We made eye contact constantly during class. I ended up never telling her how I felt, or even really talking to her because I am so shy. Another to a long list of failures and embarrassments. It's difficult, what we guys need to understand is that girls have different preferences and we have to make her want us romantically rather than just as a friend. Don't fear rejection or take it personally, it's almost an inevitable stepping stone to finding the right person. Go for it, if you get out your comfort zone more you'll learn from each experience, get better, and grow in confidence. I remember my first girlfriend and I both used to do cross-country and track, since our school district allowed boys to train with girls. We were almost the same speed and we always races each other. Honestly some of my favorite memories from middle school. Sucks now because we were too busy for each other and eventually, she moved away. Honestly one of the first people that I let into my personal life, as well as someone I trusted with everything. But we did end in somewhat good terms. She happened to have asked me out because I was too shy and her friends already knew about my crush on her so it just worked out. My advice is that if you really like someone, you'll like them for all of them, not just their looks or what the have. You'll spend every day just to be around them and make them happy. There's so much I want to say, but that pretty much sums it up
