Wish I had enough money to have a backlog...
Tonight I looked at all my boxes, pulled out all the sprues, clipped all the spare parts off, bagged them for a kitbash later and tossed the boxes and sprues into the recycling. Felt pretty good actually.

I haven't touched any of my backlogs in almost 2 years but I still look at them and remind myself that one day I'll start building again, but hasn't happened since lol! Love the vlogs btw cheers!

I've been drooling over the MG GMsniper since I first saw it! The one part about being married is once your spouse sees how much the kits are now it's "a problem" and "we have bills to pay!" They just don't understand the attraction and draw!

I mean, our hobby is called "plastic crack" for a reason. I bet there is some additive in the plastic that makes you addicted to it... I see it happen to tank builders as well.
Some weeks ago I said I would not order anymore for a while, that lasted like 5-6 days before I pre-ordered some new kits from hlj... xD
Once I built my first master grade, I have never gone back to high grade. Yes, MS takes alot of time to build and a lot more expensive than HS, but for me building the kit is the most fun part. The amount of small details in MS and PS is well worth it. And as much as I love the gundam series, want to keep collecting and building kits, it's easy for me quit, because I like to keep my room clean, and I have no room for more. Lol

Collecting and building gundam is like getting a tattoo. Addictive, expensive, sometimes not the best experience, but you can’t stop at just one!

GM Sniper II is one of the best kits. I have the White Dingo version and the standard kit. It is absolutely fantastic!
As for your backlog issue? I am much the same way. I will go clean in my hobby room and BAM! a kit I forgot I had materializes out of nowhere. But sometimes I see a kit I absolutely fall in love with and it just happens. And it is only getting worse because pre-ordered kits come out!
I remember building these Evangelion kits back in 2010. I would love to revisit these kits again now that I’m a fan of EVA.
I went the opposite way. I don't buy HG, and stick to MG just so I don't backlog myself to oblivion. I could buy HG kits by the trunk full.... and my local Hobbytown stocks REALLY well. I still end up grabbing at least 1 MG kit each visit (1 to 2 times a week... lol). I'm doing pretty good on the BL though. Only 4 kits not built. However, I decided to go full bore on painting and bought an airbrush, so building just turned into a massive time suck! I'm 8 days into an MG GM with the full repaint. What have I done!?!?! Lol!
I can empathize with the backlog 😁 I have one myself but not gundam. I’m new to gunpla but play a miniatures game where you have to build and paint them. Keep telling myself to finish what I have first but keep getting new kits 😟
Even though they're not models. I like the Revoltech Evangelion figures for their posability.

The 08th MS Team was a intriguing show. The Gouf mobile suit I personally liked.

I think seed sucks as well. I will say I like the new one they put on adult swim. It's called Gundam Origins Red comet. It's about Char and Amaro when they are young. I acually love it you should check it out.
I'm actually in the process of painting my Gyan, and so far, it's an awesome kit with great articulation.

I can definitely relate to the "backlog" thing Meli. Lately, I find myself saying "I still have lots of backlogs so I won't be buying new kits, I promise". Next thing I know, I bought another and another... I know the feeling. :)
I get you on the backlog and saying, “not buying no more”, than order some more kits when I see a review.. ugh my back log starting to look like a store shelf.

The Dwadge is an excellent kit. It's basically a 1.5 of the old Dom kit, which is still pretty good.
I got lots of Bandai Evangelion Model kits. They are amazing. The older ones from the original series require lost of painting but once your done they look amazing. I have and built the one you have and it is amazing!!!

And I thought the Turn-A Gundam was worse in an HG or MG till I looked at it more from test photos and gave that kit a chance. I'm looking for a copy of the G-Self, it's an okay kit to me.
The backlog struggle is real lol and the cross frames for the sd gundams make em look way better.
I just got back into the hobby, I am starting with MG Tallgeese EW, MG Nu Gundam Ver Ka, & waiting for the shipping of MG Sazabi Ver Ka..
I have MG GP-02A, MG GP-03, MG Zeta Gundam, all from over 10 years ago.
I bought a knock-off MS cage on Ebay. It was a little of a pain to put together because nothing fit perfectly like a bandai kit but it works great with my unicorn.
I hope Newtype HQ is a good source of kits. I’ve had trouble with a different company from Florida who have terrible customer service and don’t seem to fulfill orders very well. I won’t mention their name, but i think I’ll try newtype! Thank you for your videos!!

I would suggest watching Seed. Even you don’t like it, just maybe watch it just for the gundams? You will be surprised by how many good looking design Gundams in the Seed’s series.
I do admit its boring at the start but after you get to the part Kira meets Athrun they start fighting and it's super cool. Athrun starts off as a bad guy then turns into a good guy near the end. Kira starts off as a crybaby then becomes a murderous God of death.
Ikkkk I'm the same, the temptation always gets to us when we see a Gundam we like, especially when we have a display set up in mind, must resist not buying more MG I have 20 in my backlog HELP!!! 😅

I bought the Stainless paint just last month and didn't like it that much, seemed splotchy. I also got the Alminume and Chrome Silver which seem to go on much better and be more consistent but shinier.
The photoetch details you have are like ladders and rails, mainly for one of those hangar bays....maybe you got the wrong ones? Lol those specific ones dont go on kits.

I don't know. I love Seed and Gundam Wings, those are my favorite one and now I like the Gunpla too, I guess not everyone have the same taste as to everyone that loves Gundam. I can't wait to start collecting them and built some for my own collections like how do yours.

have you ever tried watching Space Battle cruiser Yamato 2199 or 2202 also known as Star Blazers in the west ... Bandai have some smashing ships in 1/1000 scale and mecha scale

I don’t care much for Seed either. Seed Destiny in particular. But the HGCE Destiny is a really good kit, probably the best representation of that Gundam in 1/144.
Have you checked out the LEO NPD? It even includes parts to build a regular LEO but in the new colors.

Hi Meli has you look up about conversion/resin kit? It’s amazing detailed kit but not suitable for beginners. But you could give it a try.
