Another fun place to go in KC is the West Bottoms on the first Friday/Saturday of the month- lots of street performers, vendors, stores, and perhaps the best of them, a piano shop with 100+ pianos including players, organs, nickelodeons, and more!
man what a great video! This is as professionally done as it gets. But there are 2 must see KC Landmarks that you can't see from the Liberty Memorial - the Plaza and the Nelson-Atkins Museum 😁
You are so right! That’s why we’re working hard on entire series focused on the coolest spots in Kansas City, and the Nelson-Atkins is totally on the list! Thank you so much for your support!
I’ve walked the plaza when bored before. It is free to do as well AND the Nelson Art museum is also free. Also, at night you can see the plaza/art museum from Liberty memorial, as the beam of light coming out of the church from the Plaza area there can be seen on a clear night.
Coming up to KCMO this weekend from Pensacola,FL. Daughters wedding. We've never bother to ride the street car, this trip we will. Thanks for the video.
I love the streetcar! So had so many interesting stories from it. Some good, some bad, but if I’m bored and want free entertainment, the streetcar is a great choice 😂
Kcmo is mostly detached single family homes and suburban sprawl with low density; more so than Overland Park and Lenexa. And over 50% of the metro areas office space is in Johnson county Kansas. Johnson county Kansas is the most densely populated and wealthiest county with over 613,000 people. Johnson county’s median household income is 96,059$ and kcmos is a saddening 60,042$. Theres more people living within 5 miles of downtown Overland Park than within 5 miles of downtown kcmo. Johnson county Kansas GDP is higher than Jackson County Missouri. There has been decades of white flight and urban decay from Kansas City Missouri. kcmo has a terrible crime problem.
Kcmo isn’t the economic center of the region with all the white flight and urban decay in KCMO. Johnson county Kansas has the highest gdp and most wealth and highest density.
Glad I don’t see the world (and especially KC) like you do. Only reason I’m responding is because I don’t think your comment should live without somebody pointing out how sad that mentality is.
@@iknowdeweybrudda6564actually, downtown KCMO provides so much value it still to this day continues to support the suburban living you continue to think is rich. It’s a very sad history what’s happened in kc, and if you don’t know the history of red lining a district, then I’d recommend you start there. The downtown library may even still have their maps up on the 5th floor showing where houses & business would be able to get financing and what color of skin they needed to get it. With that attitude though, I doubt you’d ever even step foot into one of if not still ranked “the best public library in America.” Funny it’s not in CansAss
Sometimes it is. But that makes it perfect for exploring without bumping into another tourist every 5 seconds. Plus, with the many huge events coming up in the next few years, the streets will soon be bustling! We’re super 😊
Awesome thank you for your video
