Thank you KISS and Eddie Kramer for making the man I am today musically 👍. I owned the 45 of "Rock and Roll All Night" back then. Blue Casablanca label and all.

Elvis's step brother said in an interview here on TH-cam that Elvis heard him listening to "Let Me Go Rock And Roll" from Alive ! and asked him to play it again. He showed Elvis the album cover.Elvis said "Yeah.I get what their doing". I would love to hear Elvis cover that song.

Kiss in 1976 was at their height. They blew everyone away. I was there. The team of Bill Aucoin as manager and Eddie Kramer as producer turned them into a monster lasting over 50 years.

I don't understand why people make such a big deal over this. Touching up the album only smoothed out some rough edges. I see no reason to complain or change my opinion over it. The album came out incredible and it exploded the rock and roll scene because of it. Anyone complaining needs to get a life. Be grateful for them putting out this record.

The real truth is the only thing that's real on the album is the drums and the audience, everything else has been done in the studio. It's pretty screwed up and quite a ripoff

Amazing album. Favorite era of Kiss. For those that want a more true experience, Destroyer 45th Anniversary has a live recording of Kiss in Europe before they started their US Destroyer tour. Pretty much Alive songs with the exception of Flaming Youth and Detroit Rock City. Probably my favorite recording of Kiss Live

I may be a rarity as I attended shows from every decade that Kiss was a band. Over 20 shows , 24 to be exact. 1 in 79 , every tour in the 80s and 90's which included the reunion tour with my kids (they were 4 and 6), 2000's , 10's and my last show was March 6th 2020 in Oakland, CA at the Colosseum Arena with my son, daughter (now in their 30's) wife and son in law. What a great run . Thanks guys for every year and every rockin moment! I wanted the Best, I got the Best!

Saw 3 live shows starting with Alive tour on December 31st, 1975 at Nassau Coliseum in New Year's Eve. Was 3rd row at Nassau Coliseum in 1996 for reunion tour. Sebastián Bach from Skid Row was right behind me in 4th row with his son. When the lights went down he grabbed my shoulders from behind and was whipping me in face with his long blonde hair while head banging. He did it for 3 or 4 songs. I got uo to front then. I caught Peter Criss towel after he sang Beth. I was waving it after that n you can see it in video. Best night ever. After the show Sebastián Bach gave me a big hug and said thanks big guy for letting me ride those big shoulders. He was such a kind gentleman and we talked with him before and after the show. And me and my boys who I treated all of them to 3rd row seats were twisted beyond belief.

I saw the original Kiss and Cheap Trick opened for them. Judas Priest Unleashed in the East is my favorite so called live album. That's when you know how good a band is, when you actually saw them live. I watched AC/DC open for Aerosmith and blow them off the stage. Then I saw Kiss on the reunion tour. It was better in the late 70s.

When it comes to being really good musicians, I've always been blown away at Maiden concerts. Closing your eyes at a Maiden concert is like listening to their CD. Queensryche was about the same. Rob was simply the Metal God.... but Priest changed songs up quite a lot, and were terrible at playing songs too fast live. Jmo

The first three studio albums were disappointing simply because they were poorly produced. Producers who did not know what they were doing and had no idea how to make a hard driving band like KSS sound on record. The production on these first three choke out the bands true abilities. To know what I mean, go listen to the Destroyer album from a production sound standpoint then go back and listen to the first three. They should have had Bob Ezrin producing the first three along with Destroyer. Ezrin knew just how to make them sound.

Also if you were wearing full kiss heavy gear and 7 inch boots, and a breast plate, while jumping up and down and breathing fire, I am sure you would miss a note or too as well. KISS had a few good albums ( I own Destroyer, Rock & Roll Over, and Love Gun), but the vast majority of them had one catchy song, then the rest of the album was garbage. The band is not as important to rock and roll history as they think they are. They also should have removed the makeup permanently after Ace and Peter left again.

the thing about kiss that always thoroughly annoyed me is their look was so radical and meanwhile ....it might as well be elevator music. i guess if i had female genitalia perhaps i would better understand the phenomenon of all this hoopla being made over some of the world's most mediocre, uninspiring insipid music. they weren't particularly radical, hard, provocative, even by back then standards...(esPECIally by back then standards). i mean i guess through the lens of commercial top 40 radio, they're an anomaly. but that ain't no benchmark..i mean, seriously ..even you die hard kiss fans out there..name five amazing songs.
