Did you mean to say a "a brear's headth" '@ 2.28? Some of us do it deliberately, I make my favourite brew in a perky copulater. Thanks for another great vid. Some nice drone shots, I'm pickled tiink.
Haha I think it’s an Alan Partridge quote as I say it all the time. I’ll have to start using perky copulater 😂 cheers Bill, glad your tink was properly pickled!
Haha cheers mate, was wondering if anyone would notice that. Think those ELR locos were worth it in the end, bit of a sunk cost fallacy, I’d been there so long the thought of going home with no footage couldn’t happen!
Haha cheers mate, yeah they seemed to open up on the other side of that bridge so I’m guessing there’s some sort of speed limit there for the station and it being the end of the line.
Thanks very much Alasdair, apologies for the delay this time around. I try to release the episodes on Fridays but wasn’t home this weekend. Trying to upload a video on the move is much more difficult than I’d have thought it should be!
Thanks Luke, another fascinating vid. Love the drone shot, it really gave you a sense of where everything is (by the way your lawn needs mowing 🤣) and just how much space the electrification groundwork is using up. Appreciate your patience at ELR, I think it was worth it in the end. Once again, it goes to show that the sight of locomotives working through the countryside is a gift that keeps on giving. Thanks again!
Thanks for sharing this, I used to work in Heywood for many years and got to see quite a bit coming in and out from the ELR, even when you knew the timings, things could wait at Castleton a good while before heading down the branch, Hopwood crossing was a good location for me, especially in the mornings. I was interested to see both visiting loco's in your film were light engine, at one time the ELR would send a loco to meet the visitors and pretty much pilot them back to Bury from Hopwood crossing as this was a sort of hand over point.
Thanks for your insights Paul, very interesting you say that as I was speaking to a guard at the time and he said that was likely what was going to happen. I gather in the end someone had driven down with the token as the mainline driver of the 37 knew the ELR section. I’ll remember that about Hopwood crossing next time I’m over there. Cheers mate.
Well done luke on getting floppsie it's a difficult 37 to find I've not seen her yet and can't wait for the next one as you can tell 37s are my go to loco lol
Thanks mate, yeah it’s the reason I’d travelled over there as it was a first time spot for me too. You’re going to enjoy the next episode of the diaries for 37’s, plenty of thrash and noise!
Most enjoyable Luke, thanks for being out in all weathers to capture the different movements. I was watching through our TV and my wife was enjoying it too, seeing the places visited when we met up with you. Congrats on the subscribers.
Cheers John, hadn’t thought of September as a particularly nice month but there were a tonne of sunny shots when I was editing it together. Glad to bring back some memories of fair Diggle haha. Thanks as always mate.
Thanks a lot Dave, appreciate that mate 👍🏻 search realtimetrains on google and search for your local station in the ‘detailed’ section, you should be able to find if any freight goes through and you can start there! If there’s nothing but passenger try a larger station in your area (assuming you’re in the UK that is lol). Thanks for the comment.

Loved the drone action. 👍😎
Cheers Philip, there’s a corker coming up in the next episode following along a ROG 37.
Love the brear’s heathd Luke! Nice to see the super 60 in action. Appreciate you chase the locos and take the time waiting on our behalf.
Haha cheers mate, was wondering if anyone would notice that. Think those ELR locos were worth it in the end, bit of a sunk cost fallacy, I’d been there so long the thought of going home with no footage couldn’t happen!
Enjoyed it Luke. Floppsie was certainly not breaking any speed records. "like drivin miss Daisie"
Haha cheers mate, yeah they seemed to open up on the other side of that bridge so I’m guessing there’s some sort of speed limit there for the station and it being the end of the line.
Loving the videos and the drone work 👍👌
Thanks a lot Colin, really glad you enjoyed it mate 👍🏻
Another great video Luke, I find myself actively checking to see if the next Diggle Diaries is out.
Thanks very much Alasdair, apologies for the delay this time around. I try to release the episodes on Fridays but wasn’t home this weekend. Trying to upload a video on the move is much more difficult than I’d have thought it should be!
@@DiggleJunction No need to apologise Luke, you can only do it when you have time. Kind regards, Alasdair.
Another excellent video, loved the Ariel views section, thanks very much.
Thanks a lot John, hopefully more drone shots to come in future. Cheers for the comment as always 👍🏻
You have a wicked sense of humour ! Excellent drone shot. John
Ha cheers John, getting more and more used to this presenting lark and can be a bit more like myself. Glad you enjoyed it mate 👍🏻
another cracking collection of movements around the Pennines, excellent stuff
Thanks very much Tim, really glad you enjoyed it!
Belter as always thx .!!👏👏👍
Thanks a lot mate, always appreciate the support and glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻
The last scene wins! Excellent location/composition/light/weather 👍. Myself, I was photographing locos in Sri Lanka in September 😁
Thanks a lot mate, got lucky with that shot 👍🏻 that sounds like my kind of trip to Sri Lanka haha.
Another great video, always enjoyable, wasn’t that Francis Bourgeois behind 33109 smiling at you entering Heywood station?
Cheers David. I realised afterwards that it looked like Francis, gave me a nod going past just out of shot enjoying a bit of 33 action.
Excellent again Luke. I've just got back from Tunisia could hear loud locos 2 miles away a cross between a Deltic and 68 😮
Cheers Andrew, bloody hell bet that was an experience!
Great vid,love the Drone footage👍👍
Thanks a lot mate 👍🏻

Haha you’re not wrong there Phil, it still does! 😂 glad you enjoyed it mate 👍🏻
Nice vid as always had a good time behind 667 and 301 at the ELR.
Cheers mate, bet they were giving 667 some wellie! I love seeing 301 back out in the old fast line stripes too.
@@DiggleJunction 37 667 was whilst double headed with 37 109 and 56 301 gave a good show aswell

Fantastic drone shot of the Colas Fugly.
Cheers again David, I realised afterwards that I’m in the drone shot stood on the bridge!

Fantastic video...I'd love to try and get into a bit of trainspotting myself but no idea how to get started!

P.s well done for your 3K Luke 👍
Great video👍
Thanks a lot mate, much appreciated 👍🏻
Very nice location
Thanks mate, makes a nice backdrop for filming the railways 👍🏻
The Colas workings seem to of ceased for the time being.
Yeah they seem to have mate. They seem to run in bursts for a week then die off until the next time. Hoping for grids next time!
Had to rewind the drone clip just to make sure it wasn't my dog barking 😂
Haha there’s always one telling all the others in Diggle to shut up, it’s usually mine 😂
