I think people have forgotten about Donna in this episode. Donna was awesome in this episode, and she really stood up to the doctor when it counted. By the way, I don't think the Hath are funny. I actually thought they were kind of sweet.
For some reason the impression I get is that not many fans like this story, but I think it's a really underrated gem! Great stuff from the main cast, some clever elements and good character moments for the Doctor and Donna throughout.
Fans hung on episode titles being leaked or announced well in advance, so people built this up to be some kind of big continuity backstory thing about the Doctors family , and I think felt cheated by what it actually was.

But anyway, in live-action, the first person that I saw do that stunt, was a character played by, I think, Catherine Zeta-Jones, in some movie with, Sean Connery, I think. 😒 But she's the afterthought. My first callback memory, is to when an animated cartoon version of, "Harley Quinn", back in the 1990s, did it. She managed to keep talking while she did her acrobatics. A friend from then, witnessed that moment too. Because we were players of both, "Marvel" & "DC" role-playing games, it gave us more insight into game play. 😎
Ok, what is pretty wacky is that I'm quite sure when I've watched this episode everything that the Hath said (or well, bubbled) was subtitled... All though I do usually have subtitles anyways. I guess people who use subtitles do sometimes get more out of the story.
Just for once I want to see a reactor who doesn’t roll their eyes and cringe at the scene where the Doctor points a gun at the Colonel’s head. Don’t roll your eyes and call it cheesy because you know he won’t do it, think of it from the other character’s point of view and in the context of the story: the Doctor gets pushed to his emotional limit and comes close to killing someone, which is scary to everyone else because it’s a side of him they haven’t seen before.
This is a very good episode as the girl playing Jenny, the doctors daughters, she IS actually one of the old doctors daughters from the 1980s in real life. And later after this episode, she becomes David's wife! In real life... can't think why ;) Lol I think this is how they met. The doctor was a father before, but that's from the early early doctors, starting from the first one.
But we did hear from her again. She has a Big Finish series (which I would advise everyone to check out the Big Finish stuff. Some of their work is better than a lot of the stuff you see on TV)

People don't give things a chance. And that's how they miss out.

For anyone interested, G.I. Jane (Georgia Moffett, now Tennant) is now married to David Tennant.They have 4 kids, 3 together and one son that she had from a prior relationship.
The main reason they never did a cameo or anything was because the actress wasn't interested in reprising the role and the production team thought a recast would be poorly received.

Sadly, we don’t see anymore of Jenny after this in the official canon. She’s just gone. A spin-off with her would have been great tbh.
