We’re with you in Prayer Kanoe! May I suggest, everyone out there… Prep yourselves for Revelation. Pre read, & do your own studying. Be prepared! God wants us to read and understand Revelation. It’s not going to happen in a day, but prep work helps SO MUCH! Prayers for us all as we finish 2023! 👍🙏🏻❤️🥁
Thank you, Father, for having our amazing sister Kanoe teaching us your Word to us . She's an amazing teacher, my Lord . I pray that You Father put Your blessings on her and all of our brothers and sisters in Christ 🙌 . We thank you, Lord . Amen. Love you all ❤
Oh Kanoe I’m so so sorry for starting to read the word of God in my late years. God is amazing and I’m starting to tell others , encourage others with God’s love for them. I’m surrounded by many broken hearts including my two daughters who are still not saved. I’ll never stop praying for them and all others. Thank you for explaining well things I didn’t get before. You are an extraordinary sister in God’s name. Many blessings bestow upon you and your family. Thank you again. Hug❤❤❤
I was waiting on this study last night but I fell alseep but up early this morning fresh and ready for another day in the study with Kanoe thank you for your steadfast diligence.
So happy to find an in depth daily bible study. The NLT Life Application 1 John book introduction suggests "The letter is untitled and was written to no particular church. It was sent as a pastoral letter to several Gentile congregations."
Agreement with Dorothy. John's 1st letter was not written to any particular church. It was sent as a pastoral letter to several Gentile congregations. Louanne😊
Oh yes I’m still here with every day. Five more days. Welcome in 2024 but it is leap year so better wiggle in the An extra day or 2024 we will not have 365 days correction but 366 days fyi 😂😂❤❤❤❤
I’m beginning my journey and trying to find Christ and build a relationship with Christ. I just found your channel and have a couple questions. What are the different highlighter colors for? I’d genuinely love to know so I can have a sense of how I should go about things once I get my Bible. Also, which Bible translation do you recommend. I am looking for a study Bible that I can truly understand. Thank you!
I think the key to understanding 1 John 1:1 is in (the Gospel of) John 1:1-5. Yes, in 1 John 1:1, the apostle is saying from the beginning (really even pre-Creation) was the Word of life (Christ). :)
Kanoe...hello sweet sister. Is there anyway you can turn down or off the back ground music for thise of us that are hard of hearing. I want to gear you very clearly.❤😊🕊🙏
John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us. He’s talking to us here, John was writing to the Church. He says, “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.” So, don’t ever get the idea that when you got saved you stopped sinning, and don’t ever let anybody else tell you that happened to them. Because it hasn’t happened to anybody; nobody has stopped sinning when they got saved.
In my book: The Bible handbook by Halley it states: “From the beginning it has been recognized as a secular letter of the apostle John to the churches around Ephesus, to emphasize the main essentials of the Gospel, and to warn against incipient Heresies which later produced a corrupt and paganized form of Christianity. That’s what it says… what say you? 😊
Yes- there are some viewpoints and attitudes about certain things that I do not fully align with, but I respect his wisdom, knowledge and ability to teach. I do have his commentary as well.
John's audience was Christians in Asia (70s-90s AD). My study Bible offers several possibilities for "From the beginning" reference but the likelihood is a reference to the predawn of time. Recall John 1:1 -- In the beginning .. A number of reference sources are listed for the wording of the first verse of 1John 1 -- John is pointing to Christ's preexistence (seen...looked upon ... touched). John was an eyewitness to the physical/historical reality of Jesus's life on earth, not a vision or religious conviction. 1 Johjn 1-3 is a brief 'history' of all that was. HTH

@@heartdive oops I didn't read this comment before I posted. Yes John was writing to the Church.

Notice how many times the word “know” is used in this Book.
John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.

Enjoy your chidren Kanoe😊
