Ricciardo’s wasn’t an accident he intentionally hit the wall so he didn’t run into Piastri, that’s why he had a broken wrist because he held the wheel to make sure he didn’t kill a fellow driver
At that low of speed, Oscar would barely suffer a injury. If that was Eau Rouge, he'd be meeting Anthoine and Dilano in heaven. Turn 3 at Zandvoort is very low speed compared to deadly blind corners like Eau Rouge.
@@suomalainenpallo27 you have to make a quick decision, thinking through the logistics of crashing is not possible when youre driving an f1 car and need to make a split second decision. it was either hit piastri side on (which has caused terrible injuries in the past) or hit the wall, and he chose the wall.
1:57 Ricciardo didnt make a mistake. Piastri’s car was stationed on his racing line. He made an evasive manuever into the barrier (which turned out to be quite dumb) to avoid Piastri’s car

He made himself out to be a hero who "saved" Piastri only because he was ashamed at losing the car. Watch the onboard. He was steering towards the left. He didn't give a flying **** that Piastri was there.
With the safety-standards of the 70s, or even 80s some of those crashes would have been fatal, and that's not only for the today incredible safe cars, but also for the top-notch tech-pro barriers! Imagine some of those with the loosely stacked tires on the side of the tracks flying all over the place when crashed into from back in the days.
As someone completely foreign to the sport, it blows my mind at how fragile these vehicles can be yet, their core is so strong. Just a miracle of engineering. How that Zhou guy survived flying head down at 100 miles an hour being flipped and between a barrier and fence is just mind boggling. Credit to all the safety engineers, techs, and maintenance people out there.
New subscriber here, I just want to let you know what an awesome channel you have made. Your story on Gilles Villeneuve was written impeccably well. Thank you for all your hard work. I will be binging this weekend, for sure!
Grosgean emerging from the fireball will always be the ultimate heart-stopping moment ... and maybe the top testament to how even in the worst catastrophic failures the safety features of the modern F1 cars are simply incredible.
I remember watching silverstone 2022, only could watch the first hour because i had work, first corner, camera cuts to the front runners and in the background all i see is a car upside down fly past, all i could do was gasp
I actually watched Zhou' s Crash at Silverstone live on TV with my friend, pretty terrifying considering he had to be airlifted off track. There was about an hour and a half delay until there was a race restart.
I still remember watching the "Zhou Flip" live when it happened....I was just freaked out that he skidded on his head for so long and DIDN'T have any injuries! And then George getting out of his car to rush and try to do SOMETHING to help just made me think he was just a class act.
Alonso Brazil 2003 was bad, however, i would put Australia 2016 higher on the list. I mean honestly... everyone who saw that live, has to agree... To all who didnt see it. During the race, the camera cut to turn 5 and showed Gutierrez standing next to his car in the gravel and even the commentators were like "Thats Esteban, but why is he stuck in the gravel. The camera zoomed out and in the barrier there was just a smoking pile of scrapmetal, only a 1/3 of the size of an F1 car. Everyone was like "What is that?" And just like that, Alonso crawled out of that. Saying "Mum is watching, i had to show, im ok!" chills...

Nikki Lauda being for 55 seconds inside of that 800° celsius Hell before being rescued and did survive against all odds it's one of the most Iconic and Terrifying moments in Motorsport ( F1) History.
We mustn't forget all the drivers, mechanics and stewards who have given their lives over the decades so that today's drivers can come out of these horrible accidents unharmed and walking.
Russell even contemplating that the collision with Botas could've been Botas's fault is laughable...plus why do you constantly swear in your narration if you have to mute it, its irritating and pointless
6:39 Zhou Guanyu has just announced that he will be leaving Kick Sauber at the end of the season. Farewell Zhou, that 2022 Silverstone DNF was something to remember. Glad, he survived
Awesome compilation! - Now I'm wondering... is there any driver who has never had an accident on F1?... or is it like the thing about cyclists that says "there are only 2 types: those who have already crashed and those who are going to crash" (or the third type like me who somehow got caught in the loop)
You should do a video about how bad Sargeant was. Even as an American, I'm glad he's gone. As a side note, I've been playing F1 Manager 2024, and I'd say they represented Logan well. He has a bad habit of crashing into other drivers, especially mine. One race, Lawson tried to pass Sargeant on the outside twice in the same race, at two separate points. Both times, Sargeant locked up and crashed into Lawson, the second time he took both himself and Lawson out of the race.
11:45 With as much debris as there was on the track after Weber's crash, I never understood why they didn't immediately go to a red flag. Just waving that yellow flag like it was no big deal.
Suggestion: when editing crashes, please show longer angles from outside the car. You tend to favor the onboard cameras, which are impressive, but aren't very good to show what actually happened, the path of the cars, what caused the collisions, etc.
Bro stop being biased about Russell you said be can all agree that he is a "clean" driver but he always gets into silly crashes blaming the other part and never himself. And in the crash with Bottas it is 100% his fault how can you not decide when he tried to overtake and RAM Bottas when losing control of his William. He is a great driver but we can tell you are his fan and thats ok, but be a little more unbiased when talking about him.
Gilles Villeneuve crash at Imola 1980, giving his name 'to that corner' which would later claim the life of Roland Ratzenberger in 1994 on the same corner. Mark Webber at Valencia in 2010 being launched upside down. Ricardo Patrese at Estoril 1992 again being launched skywards off the back of Berger's McLaren. But the most horrific crash with terrible leg injuries are that of Martin Donnelly at Jerez 1990. The images of his mangled legs lying in the middle of the track still vivid in my mind.
Idk but Max earned that 2021 title like a champ. Ham just lost the title but Max almost lost his life. You may claim whatever you want about Abu Dhabi but 10 seconds penalty for almost killing someone is even worse. It was karma, an eye for an eye, divine judgement or whatever you want to call it.
These 2 crashes in 2003 and in 2018 involving Alonso ceased all the critics of the safety implementations that were made mandatory in their respective years lol
I love how russel got such a LARGE penalty for something thats arguably not even his fault. Meanwhile we've seen drivers get penalty's a quarter of that for intentional sht 😂
I would argue Pierre's worst crash was when Ocon went over his head literally with his car in Monaco 2024. It was absolutely terrible. Thank God for the Halo.

Cry about it some more. Says everything that you bring that up but not how Verstappen almost kiIIed Hamilton in Brasil.
Idiotic comment. Drive a car at speed you clown.
@@suomalainenpallo27 you have to make a quick decision, thinking through the logistics of crashing is not possible when youre driving an f1 car and need to make a split second decision. it was either hit piastri side on (which has caused terrible injuries in the past) or hit the wall, and he chose the wall.
speaking of bad crashes, what about Max and Ricc at Baku, down the straight at 220 mph?
@@juchetony1910 Looked spectacular, but was pretty Tame in the End. It was mostly sparks so to say.
1:57 Ricciardo didnt make a mistake. Piastri’s car was stationed on his racing line. He made an evasive manuever into the barrier (which turned out to be quite dumb) to avoid Piastri’s car
That is such a humongous Iie. Do you not see the way Ricciardo is steering? He's steering to the left in order to make the corner. He didn't do SH** to avoid crashing into Piastri.
@@cilantroisbetterthanparsley if he keeps turning left he hits piastri head on
@@Rocking2011 He DID keep turning to the left, but he didn't have the car under control (because he made a mistake) so he went into the wall. He didn't have Piastri on his mind at all.
@@cilantroisbetterthanparsley nah. It was pure instinct. Reaction. He said it himself
@Rocking2011 Nah bro. Look at his onboard. He was steering to the left but had already lost control over his car. He made himself out to be a hero who "saved" Piastri only because he was ashamed at losing the car.
Watch the onboard. He was steering towards the left. He didn't give a flying **** that Piastri was there.
As a British fan I was and am still disappointed in how Lewis reacted and I definitely feel for max as he didn’t deserve that.
Cry about it some more. Says everything that you bring that up but not how Verstappen almost kiIIed Hamilton in Brasil.
@@cilantroisbetterthanparsleyNot to forget Hamilton in Monza 2021 or Raikkonen in Spa 2016 or most recently Norris in Mexico^^
With the safety-standards of the 70s, or even 80s some of those crashes would have been fatal, and that's not only for the today incredible safe cars, but also for the top-notch tech-pro barriers! Imagine some of those with the loosely stacked tires on the side of the tracks flying all over the place when crashed into from back in the days.
straw bales in the 1950s. Not the most fireproof of barriers either.
What about Colapintos Crash in Brazil last weekend?
I think, they already finished the video and didn`t wanna edit it before releasing. Understandable.
Have a great day
As someone completely foreign to the sport, it blows my mind at how fragile these vehicles can be yet, their core is so strong. Just a miracle of engineering. How that Zhou guy survived flying head down at 100 miles an hour being flipped and between a barrier and fence is just mind boggling. Credit to all the safety engineers, techs, and maintenance people out there.
As an American, I DONT care if Sargeant was sacked. He sucked. Was a shame to see that he represented America
he should be demoted to Logan Private.
Great video! ❤️
Would be really cool to see you do a video on the biggest crashes of F1 champions throughout the years! ❤
New subscriber here,
I just want to let you know what an awesome channel you have made. Your story on Gilles Villeneuve was written impeccably well. Thank you for all your hard work. I will be binging this weekend, for sure!
Good, quality narration. An exceptional channel 🙂
Excellent stuff!!😊
The transitions you've done are very good tbh
Grosgean emerging from the fireball will always be the ultimate heart-stopping moment ... and maybe the top testament to how even in the worst catastrophic failures the safety features of the modern F1 cars are simply incredible.
I'd say for Ricciardo a crash with Verstappen in Baku was a scarier one.
Why though ? I mean for me it’s so soft compared to others
Nice vids bro ! Team alpine here and ''alpine's things'' double podium brother xD
Just the moment of George's car flipping Zhou's, he was under it for a moment, could've nicked George too if it wasn't for the Halo.
10:50 Hamilton discribed in an interview it was of pure exitement and adrenaline he shaked his legs, net to check if they were broken.
I remember watching silverstone 2022, only could watch the first hour because i had work, first corner, camera cuts to the front runners and in the background all i see is a car upside down fly past, all i could do was gasp
Thanks for another superb video!.
I actually watched Zhou' s Crash at Silverstone live on TV with my friend, pretty terrifying considering he had to be airlifted off track. There was about an hour and a half delay until there was a race restart.
then there was Schumacher's Silverstone crash when he broke his leg.
I was there when Alonso had his crash at the AUSGP 2016. That was by far one of the scariest crashes I think I'll ever see in my life.
I'm amazed that you renamed Raidillon to Eau Rouge despite that Raidillon was mentioned several times on the records.
I still remember watching the "Zhou Flip" live when it happened....I was just freaked out that he skidded on his head for so long and DIDN'T have any injuries! And then George getting out of his car to rush and try to do SOMETHING to help just made me think he was just a class act.
Amazing video!
Thanx for sharing your docus🙏
I've seen quite a few already, and they all range between Good and Great - Im confident that you'll provide me with a True Masterpiece soon🍻 there's a lot out there from you still to discover...
I like your style and 20 minutes formate, It's a real treat for a 60-year old fart that has loved and followed the sport since the early 70's👍
Love from Sweden 💖
Nikki Lauda being for 55 seconds inside of that 800° celsius Hell before being rescued and did survive against all odds it's one of the most Iconic and Terrifying moments in Motorsport ( F1) History.
14:37 the window licker ifykyk😊
We mustn't forget all the drivers, mechanics and stewards who have given their lives over the decades so that today's drivers can come out of these horrible accidents unharmed and walking.
I'll never forget watching Zhou's crash live. That was wild.
And that double overtake by the GOAT!
this channel at least deserve a million followers
Russell even contemplating that the collision with Botas could've been Botas's fault is laughable...plus why do you constantly swear in your narration if you have to mute it, its irritating and pointless
"I don't know how they get out on their own."
Honestly, adrenalin. Adrenalin keeps you moving through a lot and dulls a lot of pain temporarily.
0:48 but he’s the GOAT like goattify
Very nice video
that lando crash at spa was seriously scary, especially given the historic crashes there in the past..
10:12 I cannot stop laughing just reading the subtitles😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah what a Legende that guy😂😂😂
11:45 With as much debris as there was on the track after Weber's crash, I never understood why they didn't immediately go to a red flag. Just waving that yellow flag like it was no big deal.
Picking out Logan's crashes like Albon isn't the same driver in a different font is nuts
Its amazing to even think that these drivers probably have been in the dark embrace of death at least momentarily looking at these horrible crashes
Suggestion: when editing crashes, please show longer angles from outside the car. You tend to favor the onboard cameras, which are impressive, but aren't very good to show what actually happened, the path of the cars, what caused the collisions, etc.
Welp. George suffered a small shimmy before turning
He's saying Valteri is clean
@@chaeyoungswifey4153 yeah my mistake there.
as to the Crash with Bottas, it does sound as if he was on the Grass on the right side before he lost control.
Russel running out to help save Zhou really earned him a lot of respect form me.
It's feels weird these days, to see an older F1 car without a halo.
The images of his mangled legs lying in the middle of the track still vivid in my mind.
in the Jochen Rindt crash, you can see his legs through the wrecked cockpit as he spins off the track towards the camera.
Calling Stroll a Pro at crashing was spot on
Latifi, Mazespin, Stroll, my forever podium of the GOATs
Idk but Max earned that 2021 title like a champ. Ham just lost the title but Max almost lost his life. You may claim whatever you want about Abu Dhabi but 10 seconds penalty for almost killing someone is even worse. It was karma, an eye for an eye, divine judgement or whatever you want to call it.
nice vid champ
Magnussen's crash is not in Eau Rouge, that's the corner downhill. The commentary in the clip you used said it right, the upwards turn Raidillon... ;)
The helplessness of being passenger must be scary af
These 2 crashes in 2003 and in 2018 involving Alonso ceased all the critics of the safety implementations that were made mandatory in their respective years lol
Roman Grojan's accident in Bahrain is the most frightening one i have ever saw
Nice video❤
Daniel Ricciardos crash with max in azerbaijan when they were both on red bull was probably his biggest
Great compilation but the fire accident is missing completely.
Some team member crashes are fit to really good.
I love how russel got such a LARGE penalty for something thats arguably not even his fault. Meanwhile we've seen drivers get penalty's a quarter of that for intentional sht 😂
You probably should have gone into the career for each driver, for example Stroll's biggest is by far in F3 at Monza in 2015
Where TF is grossjean
Stroll Brazil 2024. Good list, forgot about that one with Ocon, he really had the nerve to blame Fermando for that!?
I would argue Pierre's worst crash was when Ocon went over his head literally with his car in Monaco 2024. It was absolutely terrible. Thank God for the Halo.
Hilarious commentary!
Adoring your content 🎉
You put the honey badger but not Grosjean, wild choice.
I still have a hard time believing how Fernando can still be alive after all those violent crashes.
"This man is a pure professional"
* Stroll appears *
you could have used the pre season testing crash for alonso
I think for the rookies and also maybe newer drivers like piastri, you could have looked into their f2/f3 crashes
You forgot the most insane crash in F1 in recent History is Romain Grosjean crash
“2024” where is your brain
@@Wokowokkofr
Max's crash in Monaco with TorroRosso was also a big one
