For some reason I think it’s nice that he actually plans on “retiring” once he’s out of spots means he hasn’t entirely devoted the rest of his life to killing people
Indeed, even if I was pretty damn nervous while watching him check his body for "open spots", since the last time it happened (in *Batman: Cacophony* by Kevin Smith), Victor ended up trying to make a notch on his d... Batman considers letting him go though with it before taking him out, hoping he'd fck up and cut too deep...
Such a beautiful characterization of how Victor Zsasz portray that all his kills are a masterpiece that he put out to the world. All those tally marks are trophies he did all those years. He reserved some special place in his body for Batman. Now i think Batwoman will be a good trophy beside Batman tally
The actor was also in the show Gotham funny enough he played the leader of the child slavers digging the tunnel during season 5 and then he was killed by Jeremiah
This was such a great scene. The legitimate dread when Zsasz first attacks, the actor nailed Zsasz’s characterization, the witty black comedy humor, the methodical process of Zsasz making a mark (Disturbing yet magnificent). Wtf is this CW? How can you have such an amazing villainous scene in such a horrible show?
Batwoman was a terrible show, but once in a while they'd nail a characterization... Victor Zsasz was a good example, Alex Morf took inspiration from his *Gotham* co-star Anthony Carrigan (who played Zsasz in all 5 seasons of that show) and did a fantastic job. *Batwoman* also had a great Black Mask, a great Cluemaster, a solid Poison Ivy, and a good Red Alice... And on the Batfamily side, Luke Fox/Batwing had a lot of potential, and sadly Stephanie Brown only lasted one episode... but in that one episode, she was already much better than the one from *Gotham Knights* who didn't have much in common with the Steph that we know and love.
At 1:46, I completely forgot this about Zsasz. While playing Arkham Asylum, you find dead bodies around the island left in lifelike positions. Scanning one solves a riddle.
Alex Morf was also pretty damn good in the show *Gotham* , it's funny how he ended up playing a version of Mr Zsasz that is very obviously inspired by his co-star Anthony Carrigan.
Two folks for Salavation posted as art checked.... Making a marked checked.... Some extra hilarious moment that there is no where to put a mark....checked Those are good parts for Zsasz with this scene.
In most incarnations, Mr Zsasz _does_ have fighting skills... and this version is a homage to the *Gotham* Zsasz played by Anthony "Noho Hank" Carrigan who had some sweet fighting skills, even if Jim Gordon seemed to be his kryptonite, winning most of their duels.
It’s ridiculous how this guy was in the only good episode in this show. The bad guy was the best thing about batwoman. Just goes to show how ridiculous this dumpster fire actually was
He did appear in another episode of season 3, when Marquis Jet set him free... but yeah, I really wish that during season 2, Mr Zsasz was a regular bodyguard/hitman for Black Mask. Oh well, the show is over, and it was mostly crap with one good thing here and there.
How does this happen when top hotels have high def cameras at every nook and cranny. Anyone in the corridor would have seen a waiter smack a guest with a obscenely large bottle. I guess he took more precautions on all the other hits coz he was lucky he didn’t get spotted in this one
They're pretty much the same character... Alex Morf also played in *Gotham* , and took a lot of inspiration from Anthony Carrigan's interpretation of Mr Zsasz. *Batwoman* in general took a lot of inspiration from that show, like in season 3 in which they brought back the Renée Montoya from *Gotham* season 1, same actress and all... It's a shame that *Batwoman* had such a terrible base with skewed priorities ("agenda first, story second"), since there were obviously some people associated with the show who were competent enough to slide some good stuff here and there (like an excellent Black Mask, a really good Cluemaster, a badass Poison Ivy... and on the good guys side, a really sweet Stephanie Brown that was much better than the one from *Gotham Knights* , and a pretty cool Luke Fox/Batwing) Such a waste of 3 seasons of television...
legit every live action Zsasz other than his cameo in Dark Knight is nothing like his character in the comics, in the comics he's a serial killer who barely speaks and is completely insane, but in live action for some reason the character is always a hitman who's the right handman of someone either Penguin, Black Mask or Safaiya
@@ESTComicsEvolutions - Even in TDK, he's a hitman working for Carmine Falcone, and not "simply" a serial killer... that was the first time Zsasz had been characterized that way, and probably influenced *Gotham* ... which in turn clearly influenced *Batwoman* and *BoP*

as bad as this show is, it totally seems like this Zsasz actor studied by watching the Gotham version and I love it!!!

This show is garbage, but that is a really good Victor and a interesting take on the character.

Agreed
But Gotham was a good show that THAT victor is amazing.

Who would've thought BATWOMAN would have my favorite version of Zsasz.
Alright Alright, they did Zsasz almost as good as Gotham and better than BOP.
Nah bop guy was better
Birds of prey did Zsasz the best
Gotham is an all time favorite
@ToastedBread 125 yep
Anthony Carrigan will forever be Victor Zsasz in my heart and mind.🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Great actor! Glad to see him acting after daredevil which he was also great in an Ten pin

Those are good parts for Zsasz with this scene.
This guy definitely deserves a second chance at this character. He was easily the best thing on the show until Black Mask.
Oh look it's John Healy from Daredevil!!! 😲
Zsasz almost resembles a young John Malkovich.
Dave. Which Zsasz do you like better? Gotham or this one?
@@christopherallen3933 Gotham.
@@davidcase8635 Yeah. Me too.

ZSASZ IS CRAZY
Why do I feel like this would take place after Gotham
Need is own Villian movie
It’s worth noting zsasz does not have fighting skills and he slits his victims throats

He should be put in prison for life for killing too many people and kept in a cell so he can’t escape
