As a point guard her value to the team is far greater to her team than Angel Reese as power forward to her team. CC is 2nd in the league in assists at 7.9/game behind the leader Alyssa Thomas Of Connecticut. Keep in mind, Thomas is passing on a team that has four players besides herself averaging double figures. Connecticut is also tied for the best record in the league. What Sabrina failed dimension was the fever. Is everybody Super Bowl because it’s when they have the most eyes on them and something to prove against the games greatest player. And while she is only a rookie, she’s done more to grow basketball than all of them combined.

This race for ROTY isn't even close. Caitlin Clark is hands down having the better year. As a point guard her value to the team is far greater to her team than Angel Reese as power forward to her team. CC is 2nd in the league in assists at 7.9/game behind the leader Alyssa Thomas Of Connecticut. Keep in mind, Thomas is passing on a team that has four players besides herself averaging double figures. Connecticut is also tied for the best record in the league. My point is Clark's 7.4 assists is the most impressive in the league since she doesn't have the best supporting cast to pass to. Also not mentioned enough, is the fact CC is at 6 rebounds a game and tied for #18 in the league. CC is the #1 rebounding guard in the league. One final stat that is also impressive is CC is 16th in scoring at 16.1/game. Every single player ahead of her in scoring is well behind her in assists per game. You could make an valid argument that CC averaging 16.1/6.0/7.4 per game is arguably one the most valuable players in the league. To document this incredible start is the fact CC could be the FIRST rookie and only FOURTH player in the 28 years of the WNBA to average 15/5/5 for an entire season.
You all want to give CC ammunition to prove the detractors wrong go ahead. She is the female version of Steph Curry. The more you criticize her game the harder she’s gonna work. Case in point: Chennedy Carter questioned what else she brings to the table besides the threes - well have you seen her going to the basket more with layup and even a jumper.
