I'm a 64 year old man who, prior to this year, had never watched a second of an WNBA game. Caitlin Clark changed that, and the current WNBA players need to embrace it. Take this as an opportunity to raise your sport's visibility.
Agree and same here
You are not alone. 👍
65, same😊

Yep me too. Fascinating to witness the transition. I've watch the NBA since Dr. J. MJ showed us the air. Curry showed us the deep three. Thank Steph for this transition for the WNBA. If you can dribble, and pass really well and step back three you're contemporary. I particularly enjoy watching the womyn in the league deal with this phenomena. So many thoughts on the subject. . .
that crowd was crazy for clark and it was a great game.
I haven't seen someone so much loved by basketball fans for a while.
It's so rewarding to see an Athlete like Catlin Clark that's so talented, and yet so Humble. May God continue to Bless and Keep You.
God bless America.
She is treated like a rock star! It's so crazy! She's absolutely amazing
I’m glad you all hugged. Don’t listen to the media
The media loves to spread bull$hit instead of the truth, I hope everyone knows that
She is bringing class and talent to the wnba
did you mean HE is
@@rogergeilow4982no she’s probably one of the few she in the sport 😂

It was nice to see players like Taurasi and Griner giving CC some love. They are leaders in the WNBA and help set a tone for the rest of the league. I think CC has been earning respect by fighting and playing through some rough treatment and some ups and downs and taking the high road by turning the other cheek and recognizing others, and by her unselfish play.
I love Taurasi and Bird, but we have to admit that Caitlin has brought WNBA to the next level.
Seems to be raising the bar for the league. Every player is perking up and playing better.
So nice that Phoenix gave CC some respect. Something no other team in the league has done. Rest of league have nothing but hate petty jealousy. Respect for DT and BG
i love her demeanor and professionalism. She definitely got a job in broadcasting after she retires form basketball. She represent herself and the league perfect.
I never watched basketball and then I came across a video of Caitlyn. She is awesome !!
They love Caitlin no doubt about it! I knew Taurasi (class act)is a standup person/player and that was really nice of Griner to greet Caitlin ....speaks voiumes! True pros!
Nah, they all don't love Caitlin, who told you that!? Did the sneak dissing they all be doing tell you that!? Or you're just ignoring it!?
Despite of everything, she's so down to earth, wow!
Some fans came in from Mexico City to watch Caitlyn. That’s pretty insane.
Wow. Sounded like a home game.
she deserve the rookie of the year even without looking at that stats. She made WNBA relevant!
America loves her!!!!!
Have to give it to taurasi. She calls him like she sees it. There's a new wave and they've caught the fever. Caitlin is the best in the business for the Love of the game. That's what I like to see❤❤
I'm from Ireland, I never ever watch basketball, I watch it now because of her
Grew up in a basketball city (Baltimore, MD) & love the game & a big CC fan. If you find yourself wanting to learn more about the game's history then watch this video... tis a bit grainy, but imo 1192 game 7 between the Bulls & Knicks is one of the best basketball games ever played. th-cam.com/video/HyTo2B9pxcA/w-d-xo.html
Probably Clarks best day as a Pro. Genuine acceptance from a former legend and personal idol . The changing of the guard.
how do you know thats genuine...

dinosauri is trash compared to caitlin
She is so special in so many ways
I’m 60 yo. I’m basketball player, I’m still playing, basketball was always my passion, and I haven’t seen WNBA ever , till now because of CAITLIN CLARK ❤
i’m the same way! I’m obsessed with her!
Never watched any basketball in my entire 63 years. Saw Catlin at Iowa during finals and became a fan. I'm now a WNBA fan. Very exciting to watch! They are so good.
Great! Now keep that energy going. We need more ppl like u with that approach 👏🏾
never seen so many bricks. They're not that good, in general
CC's passes at times makes her look a lot like mister "sleight of hand" himself John Stockton.
Both DT and CC played fantastic games. Kudos to both for ability and sportsmanship! This is the WNBA we are talking about, not the intentional hard fouls and jealousy.
Caitlin is doing to the WNBA what Tiger did for the PGA. They should welcome and embrace all the new eyes on, enthusiasm for, and new revenue in their sport. Everybody wins.
Exactly - perfect analogy
#facts
The other women are bitter and jealous that she's getting the attention and money they feel like they deserve. They aren't happy that she's making them richer, they are salty that they weren't able to make themselves richer.
Patrick Mahomes, Simone Biles - same with Caitlyn

Class, both ways.
I live in Phoenix and I took my 6 year daughter to the game and it’s my second game since the Mercury won the championship. The arena was sold out.
👏👏👏👏👏👍👍
CC is adjusting and getting better. If they had a coach that could teach screening and players that could move off the ball better, they would be even better now.
I never bothered to watch WNBA until Caitlin Clark. I would pay $ to see her play live any day!
17,000 people came out to see Caitlin Clark... Phoenix was an averaging 1700 last year
Phoenix 2023 home attendance average 9,200...2nd only to the LV Aces
I'm so happy for this young lady. Congratulations
I was impressed with the sportsmanship shown by Taurasi, and Briner. Shows the league has arrived.
👍👍👍
class recognizes class love the respect but haters will hate
Things are getting better and better for the WNBA.
Actually, they aren't. The league is projected to lose $50 million this year, even with Clark's impact. Why? Because her fans only attend and watch her games, and she can only play 40 (of 480). She sells out arenas in other cities, and the next night, those arenas are half full. TV ratings are through the roof for her games, but drop precipitously when any teams not called the Indiana Fever play.
@@mc76 things are still better than they were. Before CC came along, I would have watched curling before I would have watched women's basketball. The fact that revenues are up speak volumes p e r I o d
CC is awesome, this turn of DT and her being competitors and mutually respectful is compelling stuff. Excited for more to come.
I think there is a lot of jealousy and bitterness... but despite that, most of these gals all recognize that she's a young girl and a legit talent and doesn't deserve the hate. It's always harder to hate face to face.
Caitlin taking time to sign ,, a legend in the making 🙌
I’m a filipino 67 yrs.old and i love caitlin clark❤❤❤
There is no pinoy who likes a loser. pinoys typically idolizes good players and check if they have filipino roots. lol!
CC looked so tiny when Griner hugged her, holy shit
That’s exactly what I thought. C. C. is 6’ feet tall. Griner looks like a giant. How tall is she?
Watching basketball is deceptive. If you watch the GSW and see Steph Curry lookin' like a midget and then consider that he's 2-3 inches above average height.
@@philgaetano6926 6'9 tall she also ex num one draft pick 10 yrs ago.. not easy play in WNBA its speed and physicality some win some lost
Griner is 6’9”
Griner is a 6'9 man so.....
This whole WNBA thing going on is so weird for me. I never watched a game before CC going. But what was so weird… yesterday I was so happy when I saw the videos of Diana Taurasi and CC hug and the words they said about each other. All day when I thought about it… it made me smile. Humans love good things. We Love, love basically. And I wish I had CC’s calmness and professionalism when I was her age. Even now. She has grace, professionalism and taking time with kids after the game to sign autographs, etc… wow. And also I give kudos to Diana for coming to the table in a generous of spirit way. I know how it feels when you’re on top… and then new generation comes in. It’s like gravity. What goes up must come down. And CC saying she looked up to Diana one of the greats…. And I believe she meant it….was a great way to for Diana to let her guard down.
Well put. We love love!
CLARK, ROOKIE OF THE YEAR!🎖🏆🏅🥇🥈🥉🏀
Caitlan a fabulous tribute to both Iowa and 2 loving parents
That was 20 years ago with 4 people in the audience watching.
One thing that was missed in this video was BG hugging CC. That was a hug of respect. Ive been a critic of BG but shes changed for the better. Respect
It was in the video, and nice to see.
Even Beyond her 3-point Acumen she is amazing in her assists, that is truly top shelf stuff
The media has made a big deal about Turasi's comments earlier in the season (they weren't a big deal), but she, and Brittany Griner, were classy in the way they embraced CC before the game and the comments they made about her afterwards. Should be careful not to vilify CC's opponents just for clicks and to stir up drama. I'm excited about the WNBA for all the great players, many of whom I might not have cared about until now but who cares who got me to the start watching. I'm hooked now!
Perfectly expressed.
Yeah, I feel kinda bad hating on these other players that supposedly were negative about CC. That's kinda stupid on its face, but I was just reading the clickbait headlines. Then I listened to what Turasi actually said. It was a nothin' burger. She actually seems so cool and watching her play in the game the other night against the Fever, she's amazing and not just for her age. Griner is unstoppable - being 6'9" helps, but she's really good. Huge respect for their respective games and the way they showed mutual respect to to CC. Glad the Fever won and Caitlin was amazing. I'm as impressed with her court vision and passing as I am with her outside shooting.
I’m a 73 year old Czech woman and never heard of the WNBA until CC rose to stardom. Nothing but best of wishes to CC’s career.

Caitlin's attitude toward opponents and officials who may seem kind of hostile reminds me of what my coach would say to me when I experienced that 50 some years ago. When the opponents and the officials seem hostile and aggressive I was instructed to remember "We are hear to make friends and not enemies." We worked hard at that as a team and it paid off in the long run. The news outlets started start commenting on our sportsmanship the refs would say "thank you" when we retrieved a ball for them. The other players appreciated complements to them or in interviews. We still had a to defend ourselves when things got "juicy" a very few times but each year at the state tournament we were treated fairly. The guy I guarded in the championship game at the state tournament my senior year became my boss for eight years at the end of my working career 40 years later. I think Caitlin is starting to reap the benefits of a good attitude already. I hope the worst is over for her.
I don’t think Taurasi understood the dynamics of CC until she actually saw for herself in this game..
Exactly. What i thought
Diana brought her on her podcast like 2 years ago. She knows her.

I have never watched a women’s basketball game other than college ball. CC and this class of rookies are making people take notice! Kate and Angel are drawing a lot of attention too. I think the WNBA is going to gain as a whole because of CC, Kate, Angel, and others! Looking forward to watching these young women grow!
I have learned a lot about the players in the league veterans and newcomers. from Taurasi to Clark. I have now been following them since the start of this season. Good Basketball all around ❤WNBA
I'm a Filipino retiree and have never watched any WNBA or women NCAA but after seeing cc play with Iowa I'm hooked on her. Love her personality.
Clark is just getting warmed up!
CC. An Iowa girl. What more can be said. Genuine. Level headed. Kind. Cute. Talented. Needs to run for POTUS
I think she earned a few stripes in this one. Down 15 on the road and facing off against a couple of great veteran players, she put the team on her back.
Clark is earning respect from players. It takes time to become the goat, nobody just is!
Catlin Clark is who people want to see, they love her! The players in the WNBA should be using her as an example to copy and not criticize.
A clean cut, well behaved young woman who speaks well. It ain't rocket science!
I admit it will be more difficult for woman pushing some sort of agenda but if you've been in the league a few years and don't feel you've gotten your due, you might consider how you present yourself to the paying public. Your part of an entertainment industry.....act accordingly.
Generally speaking, basketball has never been on my watch list and here I am at 81 trying to catch every Indiana Fever game.
She's a class act.
The end game is this: we attend sports events for entertainment and though we may wish the best for "our team," what we really want is a good close "nail biter" where our team wins with a spectacular last second score. Caitlin Clark provides that energy from beginning to end. She is the catalyst of the Fever's amazing teamwork. She isn't a ball hog but a team player with vision and perception to set up others to make amazing plays happen. I'm no basketball fan, much less a WNBA fan, and I don't have any roots in Indiana, BUT I would pay good money to watch them play and I don't care who wins. It will be a great game.
LOVE to see this support from DT and BG! Sun Devils, my alma mater. It was wonderful to see the respect given, passing the proverbial torch on. Great job, ladies!!!! DT gave her some great advice, give herself some grace with some of the adjustments when she gets to the W. Caitlin's overcoming every hurdle, and that advice may have really helped her to do so with poise and humility, but also confidence. Every rookie needs that, especially ones with as much pressure as Caitlin has had to face.
I pray she stays genuine. Just like when Jennifer Lawrence did Hunger games, she was very genuine until Hollyweird got to her and she became just like them. Caitlin, we love you. Don’t ever change!! 💜🏀💜
What a poised young woman
I don’t watch women’s sports, but I absolutely wish her all the best.
I honestly wish she had run around the court to acknowledge the crowd who loves her
Iconic. Nuff said!
Taurasi got trashed for what she said but she meant no malice. She is a titan of the game and she greeted her heir apparent with a smile, a hug, and showered her with accolades after the game even though her team lost. They were even joking around during the game. Tip of the hat to DT.
Tau is one of the greatest woman basketball player . She is fine.
Yeah, she was just relating/empathizing, and that's a good thing for her to finally do.
@@Kokobazonkos stick to GTAV. CC22 wasn't even the leading scorer in the game. It wasn't DT3 vs CC22. It was the Mercury vs the Fever/Flu. You Taylor Swift-like CC22 fans are insufferable. Make fools of yourselves every time you post some dumb comment.
