central park is nice, i did some running when i visited new york as a tourist. as a workout doing high gear on a climb is training strength but if you wanna be more efficient you obviously need to use a lower gear. grinding vs spinning.

You can get a bluetooth/ANT+ cadence sensor (also a power meter). It can connect to your watch as well as your bike computer.

When I was in NYC few weeks ago,I was like :”gona do a nice chill run ,one loop through Central Park “,I was not expecting those hills ,auch AUCCCH, I ended up running half of the time around the Central Park and not inside it lol and then continued my long run by the river till Staten Island ferry . But anyway,I really really enjoy every single video you make and honestly I don’t care if you’re cycling inside or outside ,your videos are awesome no matter what!!
Btw-did you do 4 loops around the park?

Yeah Central Park can be tough with the gills but it’s a great training ground that’s for sure! Thank you for the kind words and your support, it means a lot 😊

I’m not saying it’s the shirt….but I’m not saying it isn’t :) got my shirt the other day and took it for a run this morning. I ran my best 5k time to date as well my best 1 and 2 mile times. Also my longest distance without having to take a rest! Thank you for your inspiration Ashton!

I’d recommend splurging for a bike computer if you can. It’s awesome having your speed, cadence, power (if you have a meter), pre planned routes all right in front of you. I have the Bolt v2 with the Varia radar and couldn’t be happier.
Also it’s hilarious you kept it in the big gear on climbs I did the same thing when I first got my bike 😂

Yeah would love to get one some day - I’ll look into the one you have!

I would recommend a power meter and a speed sensor. I got a 4iii crank based power single sided power meter in a Black Friday sale last year. It will pair up to either a bike computer, watch or even your phone and give you both power and cadence.
