  • This is such a simple device to lift your adventure bike if you get a flat tyre!
Even though it was only 5 bucks, I paid 10 because it was just too cheap!
    Enjoy!

Brilliant, just happen to have a set of crutches in the shed and need a trail stand. Job done!

Haha well you can bypass step 1 and step 1 part b! Proceed straight to part 2!

Nicely done. I'd like to make one of those for my DR...but I'll obviously need something more fit for purpose given the DR's rugged yet precise engineering characteristics. That said, do you know if Vinnies or perhaps Salvos sells a crutch made from cold rolled steel?

Bloody ripper 👍 I made one from an old awning pole, similar result.

It's more for when travelling and get a flat in a remote area just carried for emergency repairs

I should have explained a bit more it's use, if I can't plug a tyre I carry emergency tubes I can fit so would need to do a wheel removal out in the bush somewhere, thus the name Trail Stand

@@oldmanspeedadventuresI found a pair of forearm crutches in my basement and essentially did the same thing. I drilled some extra holes and doubled up the clicky springy things for extra support. I spent a few dollars on lighter weight rubber caps. The thing works great and weighs about four ounces (113 grams).
