  • Repairing a flat on the trailside can be a challenge if you don't have a center stand and don't want to lay the bike on its side. A crutch jack can be made from an old aluminum crutch. This is a very handy thing to pack with you to be able to make necessary repairs to get you back to riding.

Thanks for posting, the "side bolt" idea is working great with an existing hole on the front my skid plate. Much more stable having it as fwd as possible for the front wheel rather than propping the it up from underneath.
For the rear tire, I just prop it under the swing arm.
    Good stuff, thanks again

Superb!👌🏾 I was looking to buy the SW version of ADV 390, the only thing that was stopping me from doing so was lack of a centre stand and tubeless spoked rims. I came up with an idea something like this but had not fully thought it out. Now I will stop thinking or rather start thinking on how to make it better 😂

Wow, ok, just thinking if you can use something like that for a streetbike with no center stand but has spools...... 🤔🤔🤔

You definitely could. I contemplated drilling the swingarm to install a threaded insert similar to what’s used for spools, but don’t want to leave a spool installed and the threads would just get filled with dirt/mud
