Pretty much. 2 seasons or even a full season would've given the characters more time to develop. Get accustomed to the world more, see their relationships with each other and whatnot. Like all my other issues could be solved if they gave it more time, instead of rushing

For Klein and Agil it's not such a big deal since they came back frequently. But Liz and Silica only had one episode. That sucked. It also might have been a good idea to make that first guild Kirito joined into a 4-5 episode arc. That would've given their deaths much more meaning. It also would've fixed those ridiculous time-skips. Kirito and Asuna could've gotten those extra few episodes to really justify the depth of their relationship. So yeah, it's kind of a shame they didn't go that direction.
Yeah but to be fair, Dual Wieldings unlock condition is tbat you need to have the highest reaction speed of all players, he even emphasised that in the Mothers Rosario arc, stating: "She couldnt have been an SAO player, because if she was, I wouldnt have been the one with the Dual Wilding Skill". Now imagine someone outspeeds your reaction speed in a fight. That doesnt seem right, does it? 🤔

I think the twist and early reveal are fine on their own. The problem is mostly caused by a lack of proper buildup from the anime, due to their overreliance on timeskips for basically the entire Aincrad arc. We never really got a proper grasp on what was going on up to this point because they didnt allow for the worldbuilding you'd expect. 😅

Kawahara stated he wanted to change things in the aincrad arc so that's why he started writing SAO: progressive(a re telling of aincrad that goes floor by floor so he has more time for plot development) since it's not finished yet and kawahara was involved in the making of the movie, it's possible he changed the final boss
the final boss in ordinal scale is the original boss develop by Argus, the corporation that produced the world's first VRMMO game, Sword Art Online. Kayaba simply change that.
if this have not happened Kayaba would be fighting with kirito to beat the final boss, and then surprise them, that HE is the final boss, since SAO wont say "the game has been cleared" until he is killed.
Actually according to Game rules, the final boss from Ordinal Scale is the actual boss. Kayaba probably just tweaked with the system so that instead of the boss from ordinal scale, he would appear. The game creators can't simply just make a player the final boss. What if the player doesn't want to and simply let's his friends win? MMOs don't work like that.

I think the twist and early reveal are fine on their own. The problem is mostly caused by a lack of proper buildup from the anime, due to their overreliance on timeskips for basically the entire Aincrad arc. We never really got a proper grasp on what was going on up to this point because they didnt allow for the worldbuilding you'd expect. 😅

Kirito saved us a whole seasons worth of sao by revealing the boss and skipping the rest of the floors, so that is nice.
I really did enjoy Sao, the beginning of SAO that is, the music and the atmosphere was amazing, dying meant true death and that's something they get rid of at the end of s1. If they would've kept going with that and this dude was the final boss, j3ez it would've been great somehow

Kawahara stated he wanted to change things in the aincrad arc so that's why he started writing SAO: progressive(a re telling of aincrad that goes floor by floor so he has more time for plot development) since it's not finished yet and kawahara was involved in the making of the movie, it's possible he changed the final boss
the final boss in ordinal scale is the original boss develop by Argus, the corporation that produced the world's first VRMMO game, Sword Art Online. Kayaba simply change that.

if this have not happened Kayaba would be fighting with kirito to beat the final boss, and then surprise them, that HE is the final boss, since SAO wont say "the game has been cleared" until he is killed.
Actually according to Game rules, the final boss from Ordinal Scale is the actual boss. Kayaba probably just tweaked with the system so that instead of the boss from ordinal scale, he would appear. The game creators can't simply just make a player the final boss. What if the player doesn't want to and simply let's his friends win? MMOs don't work like that.
Johann Jimenez No, Kayaba admits that he was gonna reveal that he was the final boss from around the 90th floor and then let the players be in disarray and fear that the final enemy is him waiting in the 100th floor.
