What I REALLY liked about this fight, is that it focused a lot on their skills as swordsman. Like, yes the final clash was with special techniques, but most of the fight was sword vs sword, with some special skills in the mix. This I liked a lot, and we got to see Kiritos skill again, not only his special powers. I mean, Kirito showed it a lot in SAO, but then we saw more powers than his skills, BOB kinda brought that back though. But I still remember when he deflected the attack from Blue Eyes to save Asuna, cause he couldn't possibly block it. That was a crazy show of skill.

Kirito has all his knowledge, and knowledge of how skills work, from his previous games that he played. To the people of Underworld, this is life to them no game. They don't have anywhere near the battle experience, nor would they have ever had battles like this, and even if they did they would be so far and few between that the experience likely wouldn't carry over.

That's why I love Alicezation. It was a system based to be realistic and the people in there were very real and have their own feelings. Kirito having way more combat experience is due to all the things he went through in those other games that he had to get better no matter when or where.

1st season of Alicization was amazing literally from first to last episode. New characters like Eugeo Alice and villain Administrator, are at least 3 x better and more interesting then all characters prior. To bad they ruined that in Season 2 by killing Eugeo in Season 1finale and making Kirito motionless, just for the sake of Asuna to make her main character in Season 2. But yea, Season 1 is best Season of all SAO.
Not really, since the sword is made from the demon tree, it is a Tree's nature to absorb Light. Doesn't matter if the tree is called a Demon or anything.

It prob looks different cuz the animation style changed to be the one from Ordinal Scale (I am bad at explaining it). Anyways, it takes place in an entirely different virtual world compared to the past two. I suggest watching it if you haven’t yet cuz imo Alicization and the War of Underworld following it are the absolute peak of SAO.
Ancient armies literally had battle cries to reinvigorate their morale and willpower. Funnily speaking, the Incarnation System basically incentivizes this since more willpower and belief strengthens the sword.
