Playlist with all P Ranks: • Pizza Tower - P Ranks
Getting any rank is acquired by getting enough points in the level. You can get either a D, C, B, A, or S Rank based on your performance at the end. Getting to B isn't too difficult if you're aiming for most of the collectibles in a level, but if you want to hit S rank you will have to pull up some leg work.
To get a P Rank in a level, it is expected that you do the following things within one run of any level:
Kill an enemy before leaving the first room
Get enough points for an S Rank
Find all toppins
Find all secrets
Get the secret treasure
Go through the Lap 2 portal
Never drop your combo once
imagine their heart attack when they saw "That combo was LAME…" right before they entered the door only to be greeted by the P rank screen

@@deadchannelprobably Bit late but there is a hint for finding it. The stones are bunched up and outline a secret room, all of the secret paths in the walls have stones like that
I’m not going to sugar coat it these never don’t like fuggin SICK! I feel like I could get P ranks mechanically however my ability to find secrets is SOOOO poor I have to run through levels slowly some multiple times even just to find and remember them.
That's why I just watch a P rank of a level before I do it myself, it doesn't remove any skill, just saves time. Also sick pfp

The John pillar things were super annoying
but on the bright side the ghost mechanic is pretty cool
John ghosts speed scales by distance, stay calm and hell never catch you

Ah, the level that made me realize that you have to get all of its secrets in one go for it to count. I spent some time wondering what I was doing wrong until I realized I couldn't just get the 3rd secret by itself after getting the other 2 in previous attempts.
I can't get to the fucking second secret for some reason i keep getting stuck to the wall

I take back what I've said, THIS was the easiest level for me to P rank so far. I don't get all the hate for the level, the concept and mechanics are great.
this is probably the easiest P rank in the game, literally took me 3 attempts (it could've been 2 if it wasn't for the first secret that I forgot about) and I'm not even that good at the game

I'm on the P-rank grind. Oregano Desert nearly made me rip my damn hair out, this one only took about four or five tries
Is it me? Or did they change the score for s rank to be higher now? Because I was near 19000 and was still in A
it depends on you combo, if you have combo that is worth 3k points (like 80 combo or smth i dont rememember) you will be fine even with 17500 score

Man was this level excruciating, as is this whole game basically. But simultaneously it's so much fun and addictive that it's impossible to put it down. I just wish they weren't so punishing with the P rank, if you delay even once it's near impossible to save your combo which the farther away in the level you are the father you have to start all the way back. And you know place some cheap enemies (like Fork-knights and Mini Johns) in random places and they break your combo if you approach at the wrong timing, this game is honestly the bane of my existence but I keep coming back because yeah I am trying hard to 101% the game which is going to take at least all the way the end of the year (probably next year too). The ghost transformation was a lot of fun and I love the idea of collecting ghost peppers to speed up and break tough blocks but it's stupidly easy to get stuck on a wall or the very edge which by the time you get off it your combo is most likely gone
Yeah in short the game is brutal but very fun

ngl out of the 5 p ranks ive gotten the 4 previous ones being world 1 this was the easiest 3 attempts i spent like 2 days trying to do bloodsauce dungeon that level is so i wouldnt say bad in design just holy fuck thats much harder than anything this level gives you
I think the ghost gimmick is what made this level easy, combined with the dead body surfing made most of this lvl automatic in some parts

I hated the ancient cheese more than blood sauce dungeon lmao but it was also pretty frustrating

The teensy small song detail of bullets blasting with echo is a thoughtful way of showing the mood of the level, and the song that goes with it. But nobody talks about this. (Its hard to notice doe)

@@simplymax1337 yeah, it took me about the same amount of attempts as bloodsauce dungeon, around 20. In concept it's pretty simple, but the length of the level really does make it likely you'll choke eventually. And the GOD DAMN COWS. It's nice that the escape was really easy tho

How are you meant to keep your combo before the second secret??
Like they showed in the video, you can keep the John enemies that punch you for your combo. Here is the part. 2:22 You can keep those enemies instead of killing them so you don’t lose your combo.

the escape sequence where ghost and John ghost is fucking impossible to keep your combo, because this stupid shit ghost doesnt work normally with dualshock 4.
he can just stop on one place and move by one pixel.
