Playlist with all P Ranks: • Pizza Tower - P Ranks
Getting any rank is acquired by getting enough points in the level. You can get either a D, C, B, A, or S Rank based on your performance at the end. Getting to B isn't too difficult if you're aiming for most of the collectibles in a level, but if you want to hit S rank you will have to pull up some leg work.
To get a P Rank in a level, it is expected that you do the following things within one run of any level:
Kill an enemy before leaving the first room
Get enough points for an S Rank
Find all toppins
Find all secrets
Get the secret treasure
Go through the Lap 2 portal
Never drop your combo once

The "Back to that guy" is probably my favorite joke in this game
That and "Technical Difficulties" with the 😑 face over spilled ice cream caught me off guard with how funny they were.
EDIT: and the fake taxi gag, though that one's only really funny the first time you see it and would get old pretty fast.

I love this guy's moveset! It's a complete and total change of pace! And the rat's got a personality too, bein' patient while your buddy's at work - he's not just a ball you kick around or a free ride. Gustavo and Brick are quite the addition, honestly!

I absolutely hate this level, ive been doing it for a week and i still cant p rank it, the level is not bad its just the p rank, sometimes i would just somehow get hit on the most dumb spots and lose my combo

5:24 This part is legit one of the hardest P rank moments in the game, why is it THIS DAMN HARSH TIMING.
For anyone who is struggling with this part like I was, there is a way to cheese it. When you jump up from the zoom pad in the big room, super taunt the three goblin archers when they come on screen. The timing is still tight but it's a bit more forgiving than trying to collect the big topping normally.

When the game FIRST CAME OUT people mistakenly believed that secrets were required for S rank. Yes, we now know that this is not the case.

This run is proof that secrets are not actually required for S rank, despite what people always say. You got S at the end of lap 1 but didn't enter the third secret until the end of lap 2.

@@user-tc2tm6iq8e the point being that some people think it is impossible to get an S rank without all secrets, when it simply usually helps to get them all because S rank just requires a lot of points as opposed to P rank which requires all toppins secrets and the treasure.

I think the best part of pizza tower is the humor is never trying to tell jokes or be overly funny but in more of a goofy way that makes you smile

Took me 2 hours to P-Rank this level, and I gotta say those green teleporting things were like responsible for over half my runs.
Also failing the 3rd secret is just pure pain... I had to practice this part over my failed runs just so it doesn't haunt my dreams.
Pizza Time is pretty easy, but one of my failed runs is forgetting the 2nd lap, which was painful.
5:23-5:32 I've seen very frustrated anon complaining about this segment which made me wonder "how bad can it be". Well, I quickly learnt it requires perfect precision, but for me the worst obstacles were the fucking teleporting cacti. They can easily spoil your combo if you lose your guard around them.

I think, I found a simplier way to deal with that segment. You can find 3 goblin noises on the floor above you. Super Taunt them, so you don't need to do this segment perfectly anymore!
(Also yea, pickles are annoying to deal with)
This section isn't ad bad as people made it out to be
My problem with this stage is that it feels like it just drags on and the big combo killers are the part at 5:25 and getting into the 3rd secret and getting the first giant topping, both of which are so far into the level (especially the latter). Easily my least favorite stage to P rank so far by a landslide, at least the achievements were enjoyable..
dont even include p ranks, just playing this is awful. atleast with stuff like bloodsauce dungeon and r-r-freezerator they have some decency with the actual playtime. gnome forest is just long, clunky, filled with those fucking pickles, and just a bad time
Trying to P-rank this right now and it's fucking infuriating, worst level so far. Didn't like it that much when I played it casually the first time either lol.
Edit: After mastering the shit out of it and P-ranking it I like it now lol
P ranked this level last night and I found a good way to make getting into the third secret not be a total combo killer. Leave the enemies at the top and the big ingredient for on your way back to help keep your combo alive. An easy way to do this is to super jump right after you mach run the cheese blob enemy right at the beginning. Dash out of the jump to leave the room and carry on.
5:25 on the other hand is just practice. The great thing about the room is that it's SUPER easy to identify once you enter as it starts with 1 of the green enemy and 3 knights, so once you see that, you always know what is just ahead of you. Does the window to grab the big ingredient suck? Sure. But you can get pretty consistent with just a bit of practice.
It’s funny I THOUGHT this level just sucked because of everyone else saying it did so when I took a bunch of tries I wasn’t surprised but then I realized I was having a controller issue and after resetting the adapter I did it first try it was very fun too I like Gustavo and Brick

if you're going too fast running into the mushrooms leading up to this point you'll hit the wall and forfeit your combo, so you need to slow down just barely enough to avoid that

P ranking this level was a pain in the ass because of Gustavo's moveset. Not because it's bad, but because I was so used to Peppino's

I HATE the change in gameplay cause I'm so used to Peppino, & they take that away Mid-level, give me a character who is sluggish to control & who I barely have time to get used to, (TWICE)…& they expect me to get a P Rank from this.

1:26 were you even going for the task
5:24 It's that mega-long stretch without anything that screwed me over again and again. And it's so annoying because it takes so long to get there, only to have one chance at a super tight window with no mistakes allowed. Hardest part of the level for sure.
i hope gustavo and brick get their own DLC or something in the future, it's a shame that so much time and effort was put into some characters that you only play as two times in the whole game

Crush the Cheese Block without losing momentum, hold forward sprint, let go of EVERYTHING when you land on the mushroom or else you will hit a wall, hold left after the final bounce, and finally hit Jump right when you get just below the big ingredient, and pray that you don't get messed up.

I spent over 2 hours getting the P-Rank on this stage last night. I legit didn't think it would take me that long, and yet:
a.) those stupid Pickles kept ruining attempts
b.) I had a surprisingly difficult time mastering how Gustavo and Brick controlled, things didn't flow as smoothly as they would if I was controlling Peppino. Despite that,
c.) there were times where I was close, but I kept botching the final secret room before the exit and had to start the whole thing over again.
If I wasn't committed to getting P-Ranks at this point, I probably would have just said "Screw the whole thing", but I'm going to do it, dammit!
How's the progress,if you strugling play gustavo like mario,he will kill on stomp .It is worth super taunting the pickles,if there are more than 1 on screen.

Funny enough, I had a hard time with Gustavo on this level, I felt a bit clunky doing wall jump with him at some points, but Pig city was a breeze.
Although I didn't take too long to master the final secret because a secret in Floor 1 had almost the same gimmick and I already screwed enough times though lol
Doesn't mean my first try on that secret was a perfect run tho...

This level is actually exhausting to run. It feels so long. Gustavo and brick are a fine to control and a nice change of pace but there's so many maps, and I keep getting stuck at either 5:14 or 5:24, so it's another 5-6 minutes just to run that spot again and try another tactic. I've been trying this one for about 4 hours over 3 days. Previously Bloodsauce Dungeon was my nemesis but this ones beaten it.
Bloodsauce dungeon? Just do the 2019 demo my dude, it's such good practice

I Finally P Ranked this level, Holy Pizza Shit I had to lie down for a while as I couldn't believe that it was finally OVER.
I lost like 3 times in a row from messing up the inputs inside the final secret (and my screen got connection issues once as well).
When I realized that it's best to simply leave everything alone in the first room (except 1 attack to start the combo ofc) and then pick them up to get more combo time to enter the final secret during Lap 2 then it all clicked.
Gnome Forest Treasure: Pie
I don't know what's the association of the treasure with the stage but does it was related to fairy tales stories?
Yeah for some reason old fairy tales had pies in in them that were either weird or magic

The first house you deliver the pizza to wants to give you a pie.
This level was definietly one of the hardest to P rank for me like it took me so many hours unlike other levels or bosses!

This level, is hands down my LEAST favorite level to learn SO FAR. Ive spent probably the longest amount of time here... so FAR. I wholly imagine other levels (WAR) or the silent alarm level, going to kick my ass. But helll i finally beat it after 2 tries the very next morning, after spending 4-6 hours attempting.
Speaking from experience, war is easy.
Unlike almost every other level, war is hard to learn but easy to master.

This one was very annoying to P rank. So many parts where the disappearing enemies would kill combos and the section here 5:23 has a length where you either have to perfectly maneuver the jumps to hit the big topping or use a super taunt to kill the enemies on top to keep the combo.
The one collectible at 05:30 keeps being the one thing that messes up all my runs. Well, okay, it's actually my fault for timing myself poorly, but I can't think of a single point in the game that feels this unfair. I've cleared the two bottom floors, cleared three of the bosses, and cleared Crust Cove. Not a single section feels as hard to get as this one damned collectable.
i think this "Brick and gustavo" thing is more of a kirby's dreamland two reference, since in that game there's an animal buddy called rick which is a hampter (i say reference since both rats and hamsters are rodents) and they are controled """"fairly similarly"""" but what rick lacks and 🅱rick actually has is something to recover from falling
