Playlist with all P Ranks: • Pizza Tower - P Ranks
Getting any rank is acquired by getting enough points in the level. You can get either a D, C, B, A, or S Rank based on your performance at the end. Getting to B isn't too difficult if you're aiming for most of the collectibles in a level, but if you want to hit S rank you will have to pull up some leg work.
To get a P Rank in a level, it is expected that you do the following things within one run of any level:
Kill an enemy before leaving the first room
Get enough points for an S Rank
Find all toppins
Find all secrets
Get the secret treasure
Go through the Lap 2 portal
Never drop your combo once - บันเทิง

I’m really glad that your combo meter fills up when you grab the golf ball, and freezes in place until you swing the club.
Thank God for that, because if not then this level would be a hell of a lot harder to P-Rank.
I'm just here to give my thanks to the creator for posting these P Rank videos. They get straight to the point, and are actually really helpful for others playing the game to watch, since you always show an efficient and simple enough to follow along with route. I imagine this must have been the hardest one to get a P Rank on because of the Greaseball physics, so something like this really helps others follow along with a route to get a P Rank. Even if the people watching this don't think they're up to the challenge, they're still good for those looking to get all the secrets or the treasure. I'm not sure if the original intent behind these videos was just to show off, but regardless they're a big help, as they certainly have been for me. So either way, thanks for posting these videos!
They posted an incredible guide to P ranking every level on the Steam community tab, and I remember them emphasizing Greaseball to be a blessing and Primo Burg’ to be nothing to worry about. Aiming Greaseball freezes the combo meter in place
@@spinge1523Besides the first secret, I feel comfortable saying Golf is likely the easiest level to P Rank in the game cause of that fact. I was prepared to struggle a bit, but it was fairly chill going through.
It's more to demonstrate a potential route and less showing off, though there's a dash of it in there too at times. As it was mentioned, the steam guide linked in the desc is intended to help people master the game I have a deep love and appreciation for.

Golf is honestly in the very middle when it comes to difficulty. There are around 8 levels that are both easier and harder than Golf.
Its actually not that hard at all. You can indefinitely keep your gauge full by holding the ball. Many other levels are much harder to P rank than this.
P is short for Primo Burg
P is short for penis
I like to think that the whole purpose of floor 3 is to work as a distraction for Peppino to slow him down (and hopefully stop him in his tracks) by featuring fun things. A beach with happy dancing pineapples with sunglasses and a badass pirate ship, a fantasy forest full of gnomes and magical creatures and beings, a trip into outter space, and a golf course. All of this seems like fun stuff meant to distract Peppino and hopefully have him drop his guard because of the fun stuff the floor has.
Now, I guess you could say that it worked for a while. Peppino took a short trip to the said beach, the said forest, went to outer space for a while, and then played a little golf, but Peppino knew the real reason he was at the tower, so he kept his guard up and ignored these distractions as much as he could and proceeded with his mission.
i like to think that pizzaface built the tower as a literal hotel:
-floor 1 is the lobby
-floors 2 and 3 is where guests stay
-floor 4 is where all the miscellaneous stuff is (freezer, water cleaning, food factory)
-floor 5 is the security floor
but then pface said "f this guy in particular" and decided to attack peppino
this also explains the signs: floor 1 isn't meant to be stayed on, so they point you to floor 2, floors 2 and 3 invite you to stay, floor 4 is basically a warning for any kid that gets up there while still being friendly, and then if he reaches floor 5 he is met with a huge "GET OUT".
I would like to stay in the pizza tower, mostly because of golf and floor 2
It's all vacation themed so, sunbathing in the beach, hiking a forest, playing golf or going into a space trip
@@averagemicrosoftpaintenjoy7115 Not a bad take. Although I prefer to think that the tower's floors were built as different gauntlets with their own purpose.
Floor 1 is to introduce Peppino to the tower and give him a taste of what's to come.
Floor 2 is to take Peppino back into an older and more difficult time, the wild west.
Floor 3 as I mentioned in my comment, is a distraction to slow Peppino down because of all the fun stuff it has. A beach, a forest, a trip to space, and a golf course.
Floor 4 I'm not sire what it could be, but I think it's supposed to be to remind Peppino of his home and maybe make Peppino rethink his crusade he is going on against PizzaFace and the tower and make him think of giving up and going back home by showing him caricaturized versions of things that could remind him of his home. Like a city, a sewage system, a factory, and a refrigerator (I think it's supposed to be simply a city in winter time, but it was made to look like the inside of a refrigerator).
And finally Floor 5 (the most interestingone), I think it is to scare off Peppino and hopefully traumatize him. As you may know, there is a level themed after classic horror stories, a pizzeria with monstrous animatronics (totally not inspired by the famous horror game series Five Nights At Freddy's), and finally, perhaps the most scariest and powerful one yet, a war zone made just for Peppino to reminisce of the violent, bloody, and horrifying war he fought in.
Correction: THINKS he fought in. Peppino isn't a war vet, he THINKS he's one. Then again, he ain't a war vet, but he IS a WAR vet.

This is probably the most relaxing level to P Rank, but also the most infuriating when you lose your combo.

You also need them to get the living toppings which you need to beat the game

@@gentlesin1301 the game allows you to skip 9 toppins while still being able to beat the game, letting you get away with skipping a level and beating another with only one toppin. the any% speedrun takes advantage of this by not playing oh shit at all and performing a skip in this level to start pizza time while you're at the door to exit the final course, meaning you escape with only the mushroom toppin.

@@laurentmarcoux2144 The golf level was orignially made as an april fools joke, and it controlled pretty badly (you couldnt aim at all when throwing the ball) but it was later reworked into a real level.

When he enters the lap 2 portal at 6:24, it takes around 1-2 seconds for the game to register it from an S rank to a P rank. That's what that was. This happens normally when you get the S from a lap 2 portal, not after.
The reason this happens is because the global.lap (has lapped. boolean) and global.laps (total laps. integer) only goes up when the lap portal animation stops and before the room fadeout is created.
S rank goes when score is reached. P rank goes when there's a combo running in all rooms, with treasure, 3 secrets and *a lap*

I haven’t seen one single person say this was a hard p rank for them. It took me 2 hours! This level and Oregano Desert have been the toughest P ranks for me so far. I’ve p ranked ever level in Floor 1 & 2, this one, Crust Cove, and the Noise
This one wasn't the worst for me but oregano desert took me longer the rest of floor 2 combined
This one was a little rough for me -- mostly, getting to the first secret (I kept running into the present and getting launched, making me lose my combo) and then actually doing the Soda course.
Every time I see this level it just makes me hungry For no reason

Yeah... If you don't jump over the gift in time then it launches you back to the beggining of the golf course and you have to run through it again for another attempt... But then say bye bye to combo

The only hard part are the first secret and the treasure, which are in dickish spots

he’s poor so the golf ball is him and the holes are basketball hoops
When I first P ranked this level, I almost got it first try, but I lost my combo to (I believe) the LAST enemy before the exit on lap 2. It's fine though because I got it after a few more attempts.
Something changed in the level because in the 3rd room, there were regular small brick and bells, not toppins coins and mini rat pins

Golf is the absolute bane of my existence. I hate it with every single fiber of my body. That stupid greaseball never goes where or when I want it to and I get stuck on the stupidest loops. I hope this level gets deleted, forgotten about, and then remnants of it are found 20 years later as lost media so that at the VERY least, it has some value to its name.

How do you jump after getting the booster and crouching at 1:14? I just can't jump over that present box, the game won't do anything when I press jump. It's like I'm stuck in a sliding state.
They you're holding down. Immediately let go of it as soon as you're entering the small gap
far too late to say but for anyone whose still struggling with this- i find you dont need to use the booster to break the wall. If you can do the Slide while holding Shift, youll get out of the slide with enough momentum and control to jump over the box and break the wall to the secret
i cannot explain how much hatred i have for this level.

I don't know why i get a S Rank even when i get all the secrets, found the secret treasure and did Lap 2, I also kept the combo up.
