- The Stonic sold well for Kia in the subcompact crossover class, but since its arrival here, the segment has seen the entry of quite a few models. Kia Philippines has now brought in a new contender: the 2024 Kia Sonet.
While still boasting a small footprint, the Sonet is higher-riding and better equipped than its predecessor, and also proudly wears the Korean carmaker’s latest styling cues. It’s powered by a 1.5-liter engine mated to either a six-speed manual or Kia’s Intelligent Variable Transmission, and the top-spec SX variant even comes with Kia DriveWise advanced driver assistance.

does kia have any plan on releasing the diesel version here in ph?
I have Raize, 1yr+ na 6k mileage, zero issues so far. But if lumabas to last yr I might have chosen this, it looks beautiful ( although i think Raize bluegreen just looks so good), and with more power, it's gonna be a hit in the PH for sure.
My choice was stonic before but now i change my mind..definitely Sonet will be unbeatable in this segment..

I own Toyota Raize 2023, 1yr with Raize no issues at all, everytime I drive it, it seems always brand new. However with the form, features and capabilities of the new Sonet, I might consider this over Raize if nauna lng to sana.
How about maintenance and availbility of parts?

This is a threat for honda hrv too..and nissan kicks..its more powerful look than venue of hyundai and creta..this is equivalent of mazda cx30 i guess..stylish and sturdy.
Very good review, too bad the mic output quality of the narrator is very poor. Mic volume is really low and had to max out the volume rocker at least to understand what he was saying.

el niño is still real. and PAGASA always whiffs on their forecasts so yeah. BTW this is a very good looking mini SUV! and for the price, looks like it will give both the Raize and MG ZS a run for the money

May comparison na kasi si Kia Sonet kay Toyota Raize pero baka maglabas din ng upgrade si Toyota in the near future na pwede dun macompare kay Kia Sonet. Panapnahon lang yan. Mas nauna kasi si Raize kay Sonet. Pero para sa akin Napakaganda ni KIA Sonet, kahit yung Base model LX AT...sulit na rin yun sa Price range niya.

what is the difference between the sonet and seltos?
Seltos is more of premium crossover meanwhile Sonet is a budget compact crossover.

Seltos competes with HR-V, etc. Sonet/Stonic competes with Raize and Honda WR-V, etc.

Kias in the US are horrible. The engines and transmissions self destruct regularly.
Specific batches lang ng Yaris Cross. It's not a general issue, only specific lots in the manufacturing line kaya madali nila ma identify

very nice, shapely SUV, perfect for the city. But why is it called KIA. This brand has been producing good cars for years, but it is still associated with mediocre cars produced in the last century and at the beginning of this century. That's why I wouldn't buy a car of this brand even today.
