Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I would like a base trim Ceed more than the Stonic with a couple of options. The pricing is similar. The base engine in the Ceed is the same 1.0 T-GDI, but has 120ps and it's good enough, you add the 8 inch infotainment, heated seats, PTC and 12v socket in the trunk and it's a cheap and chearful car, I would argue better than the Stonic.

This is not an SCC (Smart Cruise Control), it's a standard cruise control. Kia and Hyundai do no have SCC / Adaptive Cruise Control on a manual gearbox and on the DCT is optional.
There is a different B-SUV by Kia called the Seltos. What I like about the Seltos over the Stonic is that the Seltos has AWD versions in areas like North America, Korea and Australia. The Stonic has none. Despite it being a global market, it’s not sold in Europe. I think the Seltos would sell quite well if it were to come to Europe.
Rented one of these in Quito, Ecuador on vacation. The rental company said it was an "suv". Not even close , but It did handle some mild off-road rocky trails in the jungle and an actual 4x4 would have been ideal. On good tarmac, with those tiny roads it felt like a go kart. In Quito, a lot more care driving is needed due to poor quality roads and a seemingly suicidal driving culture. If the rental company had the Seltos I would have gotten it as Its popular in Ecuador. However they only had the kia picanto and the kia soul on the lot . Still, fun little car to drive.
@@DaveDVideoMaker They don't sell the awd version sadly, however we otherwise use main family car there a 1st gen xtrail awd from 2012. They sold that generation until 2014.
