I have this monitor. Indeed, some ghosting in fast paced actions, but i find that it is completly usable. I'm not listening to all the cousy people that criticise everything :) Colours and contrast are amazing. For me, as an ocasional player, it is perfect. Also quite cheap in comparision to other monitors available in my country.
The G3 is a good budget monitor. As soon as you start comparing it to higher end monitors, it doesn't really hold water. I would go for the G5 for sure over the G3.
Just bought one. It showed me the xbox menu for 2 seconds and then it went black.. But its on. HDMI is connected with the series s, and no picture. Great first impressions
Yeah that's kind of the case with most monitors and console. It can be fantastic on PC but not nearly as good on console. That's more a limitation in the console though, albeit a pain nonetheless.
The 27" is currently cheaper than the 24" but I dunno if 27" is a little too big for 1080p... What do you think? If I got the 27" model for my series S would it look good or a bit too grainy?

I appreciate that! Currently there are no 1440p 120hz HDMI 2.1 monitors. The reason is that you do not need HDMI 2.1 for that spec. @@BainCustom I have a very niche scenario. I have a laptop that that has 2.1 HDMI but I cant find any monitor that has 2.1HDMI support. Laptop doesn't have Displayport.
@@binhdao8822 just because you have hdmi available on your laptop doesnt mean you will need it. any monitor with hdmi 2 should work since i assume that your laptop isnt pushing 4k 120fps.
may I know the width of the monitor stand ? My table is 25inch but this monitor is 27inch and I saw the stand is less than 27inch but duno if it fit my table ?
Well the good news is that the monitor is 27 inches diagonal, so the width will be 25 inches or less. Probably close to 22-23 inches. So I think you are in the clear.
When i search for the Odyssey G3 i find 2 different names one of them (LF24G35T 144HZ) and the second one (LS24AG320NMXZN 165HZ), wich one is the right one because the (LS24AG320NMXZN) has higher refresh rate and i found it cheaper in my region. So wich one do i have to buy ? .
i got mine for my pc and for me it's kinda noticeable. it's not as smooth as i'd like but you can def get used to it. but if u haven't ever noticed ghosting or played with ghosting, then you might not even notice it in the first place. ghosting is literally the ONLY issue, everything else is amazing.
Hey thanks for the question. Is the image blurry while moving or stationary? There are a number of ways to solve the issue. But first make sure the series s is outputting full 1080p and all connections are good. Then start calibrating contrast and color. There aren't a ton of calibration menus on this guy, but some of the pre-sets aren't half bad. You might find one you like.
Honestly it's disgusting, the ghosting in the black texts is horrible in this G3, good to have a headache or comparison with the G7, how Samsung can make such a bad panel, better an LG with IPS panel like 27mp60g no It will be so nice, but it is IPS and with very little ghosting, you know VA monitors are not good for gaming or text editing anymore when working on dark screens
The VA didn't bother me much. It is more of the smearing that can be a pain in certain games. But it definitely depends on the games. But yes, if it gets to you, snag something like an Acer Nitro or LG Ultragear with similar specs. You will get an IPS with less black smearing.
They are good. But depending on what you’re looking for exactly, you may be inclined to wait for the 42in LG OLED coming out next year….especially if your interested in a 28inch monitor that msrp is close to the same price that OLED will be. I personally will be playing on an ASUS PG329Q for competitive, high frame rate titles such as COD. And will be using the LG OLED for casual and beautiful low frame rate titles such as Elden Ring. 4K monitors are……meh atm. They are in their infancy at 32in, and not worth the coin currently at the 27-28in. Ntm on PC your looking at very expensive GPUs to push that many pixels, and for new consoles (for reference) the Guardians of the Galaxy game in its 4k res mode runs at 30fps on my Xbox seies x. 30!! So for console, the current 4k monitors, contradictorily, will leave something to be desired yet. That said, the Asus is quite expensive, but imho, much more worth the coin.
Yeah Odyssey monitors are legit. I have had my eye on the G7 28 inch, but haven't seen it come back in stock yet. I think it will be the top spot for HDMI 2.1.

Planning on getting two this monitor as secondary and tertiary of my triple monitor set up. currently I have a pc with gtx 1080 and a xbox series x, would this monitor be good enough until I upgrade to a more powerful gpu and higher end main monitor later this year?
This or the LG GN50B that I reviewed earlier last year. The LG has a few more features and calibration menus. I only say that because this is very much an entry level 1080p monitor. Whereas the LG is more mid level 1080p and worth hanging on to with a higher end card...even though the 1080 is a great card.

What system are you attempting to achieve 120 hertz on. Because technically yes you can, but there are multiple different versions of HDMI and each one has limitations. Now, whatever HDMI connection is on either end of that cable matters as well. But to answer your question, most HDMI connections today can achieve 120-144 Hertz at 1080p.

The G5 isn't bad. But idk that it would be my first pick. I would rather go g7 or something like that. Now specifically for console, the GP83B from LG is a solid choice as well. But I'm assuming it would perform similarly to the Benq you have.
The g3 isn’t bad whatsoever I use it as we speak play on the series s paired with it. Runs perfect 120hz and fps. There ain’t a thing wrong with it tbf even moving from 60hz tv😅
If you still own the monitor, I just found a fix for the ghosting/blur. Go to the settings and turn FreeSync off and turn the response time to “fastest.” DRASTIC improvement
@@psuave3160 im going to buy this monitor for 120hz on series s, Samsung monitors (and some regular tv's) have this feature "response time", normal (5ms), fast (something between 4ms -3ms) and fastest (1 or 2ms depends of your monitor), I have a samsung monitor but is a regular 60hz 2 ms. For default they come with response time setting on "normal" that is actually soo bad, is like if you had motion blur active. But when you switch to fastest the blur is waaay less and the image is way better and clean.

It does indeed work with with one s. It won't give you a high refresh rate unless the game is compatible. I don't know how many are 120hz capable.

Typically no, but you can force a windowed mode in game and fit it to the screen horizontally. It won't look good, but it would technically work.

It's a great pairing for sure. I think the curved version is VA though, so the performance will be different.
