I've had a Series S for the last year and a half. I just sold it today cause I bought a Series X. Dollar for dollar the Series S is the best console in gaming hands down. It's amazing what a cheap console can do.
I'm an "all gamer". Right now I don't own consoles anymore, but my PC is connected to both a 144hz monitor and a 4K 60hz TV for console style gaming with Xbox controllers. I can easily switch between the two when I want, and I use Playnite to launch, install or uninstall all my PC games from all their different launchers, and then also all my emulated games. All from the comfort of my sofa. If I want to play something like Doom Eternal, I just sit next to the desk and play on the monitor using keyboard and mouse (and again, if I want, I sit back on the sofa to switch to controller seamlessly).
It's always going to be hard to beat an Xbox or Playstation on price/performance since those companies sell the hardware for a loss and make the money back through licensing. Nintendo is the only one who doesn't make a loss on the hardware, so it would be interesting to see if a PC for the price of a Switch could beat it in performance and maybe even emulate it.

Soon even smart TVs will have an xbox app via gamepass. Most people think gamepass is a $15 subscription, when it's really just an add on to the payed live that console gamers are already paying for

Hey Toasty Bros you can use a USB headset with a transmitter for your game audio. You don't need to plug it into a controller. Just like a PC where you can use a USB headset with a transmitter you can for console also. 👍
