I am obsessed with Lisa Eldridge. Bought so many of her lipsticks and glosses. And I'm 100% obsessed with this foundation. I wore it out for a full day the other day, and I was amazed at how pretty it looked at the end of the day.
YES!!!! It does exactly the same on my skin!! I adore Lisa. I have been watching her videos since she started (so for over 10 years), I own and love all her lipsticks, several glosses and liners, a blusher, a highlighter, a couple of rings, her book and hell, even her sweater! However, her foundation didn't work for me. I had foundation dots on all the pores of my nose and the sides of my nose and it was a bit dry in one spot around the mouth. I have tried it several times with a couple of shades and it only looked good on me once. It's a very expensive foundation and I shouldn't have to start looking for a new sunscreen or change my whole skincare routine to make this work when I have other foundations and skin tints that look perfectly fine on the first try. And that's OK. It doesn't make me any less of a fan or a hater. In fact, I'm very thankful that she gave free samples so that we could try it beforehand, because otherwise, knowing myself, I would have definitely blind bought it.
I could not have said any of this better. I completely agree with you. The foundation is never going to 100% going to work for everyone its just not how things work and you shouldn't have to work that hard when others work perfectly. But agree it doesn't make me love her any less and providing the samples etc make it so better for the customer. I wish it worked for me but in the meantime I still love all her other products 😍 PS I love her rings!!
@@MartinaLily Her rings are stunning in person! Have you bought any? I only own two of her cheaper ones in silver because they are also very expensive. The stones in her lower tier rings are only semi precious but the cut really makes them stand out and they are big, clear and quite saturated in colour. I also love the design of the setting and how it allows for easy clean up and it makes them stack beautifully (which is why I wanted two of them). I'm not thrilled about the recent increase in price, though. I'm very happy with the ones I have, so I don't think I'll get more any time soon, but still. Thank you lovely! Yeah I feel the best way to go is at least getting the sample cards first to try cos even with the shades I think the one you think you are, it might not be that. And then definitely try the formula first haha 💗💗

Oh..I love that foundation, maybe it depends on your skin type. My skin is dry, but pretty smooth, no pimples or brakeouts ever, but as I get older I get larger pores, and this foundation smoothes them completely which is amazing cause most of them exagerated them...Idk..I think this is the best foundation I tried so far. As for the lipsticks, I bought velvet jazz, cause I didn't have any real bold red lipstick, all the other colors I have and wow..just perfect red with a blue undertone...it makes your lips look bigger, teeth whiter and my eyes(green) just popped with it too.When my husband saw me, he was stunned 🤣🤣 khm.. Love the lipsticks and love Lisa! Great video! ❤
Yeah I'm definitely thinking from reading the comments it just my skin type doesn't agree with it :( I have texture and breakouts quite a lot and definitely a more combo to oily skin type. It just kind of sits on top of my skin. I'm happy it worked out so well for you tho! So good. Also you know if the husband notices its an incredible product haha I can't wait to pick up more shades in her lip products 💗💗
I hope you have a pale friend/relative you could gift this foundation to to try, if you don't love it. I haven't ordered the full size yet, but I have a couple of sample cards and every time I put it on I'm blown away by how smoothing it looks on my skin. I'm combo/oily mature skin with enlarged pores. I thought the name Seamless skin was pretty accurate however I do like lighter coverage and haven't built it up much. It seemed to look even better after the first hour. I'd actually rate this as one of the best I've tried, so its worth the price for me and works better than the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless (which really emphasized my pores after the first hour) and the Giorgio Armani Luminous silk which is even more expensive. I love her liners and lipsticks and the Elevated glow too. On camera your finished look was gorgeous.
I'm so glad the foundation works for you! I want it too so bad. I haven't fully given up on it yet. I've been watching how other people use it and I'm going to try a couple more ways first. Fingers crossed I find a way I like it. Very very true. I’ve tried playing around with my skin care a lot for this one as well but it’s still not loving my skin unfortunately. That’s ok tho sometimes it just doesn’t work 💗

That’s how market works don’t worry x for $88 you would’ve expected something with less effort to make, product says itself, you don’t need to charge around your routine just to use this foundation. Appreciate your honest opinion.
This foundation didn’t work for me either. I really wanted to like it. I got a couple of the sample cards during the lipstick launch and I have tried wearing it several ways. It accentuates my pores no matter what I wear under it or how I apply it. I don’t have large pores or overly-oily skin but it definitely doesn’t do me any favors so I don’t think I’m going to take the plunge and buy the full size bottle. The velvet lipsticks and liners on the other hand are fabulous! I am now waiting for her to come out with more colors of the luxuriously lucent formula because that is my fave to wear during spring/summer.
Yeah that's exaclty what happened with me and the foundation. I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I was worried it was me but I've tried it so many different ways and it always turns out the same. Agreed on the lips tho! Gorgeous, I'd love to pick up more colors 💗

i also want to try it out..i like the fact that its comes out little bits from the pump and that is not covering much..on normal foundations,one pump was to much for me so alwys wasted product..but what i found on me was,that my skin is the problem not the foundation.spent a lot of money on cleaning products for the face and yet still had dry patches or too big pores...as soon as i started going to a cosmetician and cleaning my skin profesionally i had no problem with foundations anymore...
Oh agreed. The whole points of this foundation made me want to try it so much. And your skin type and issues definitely have a lot to do with how it works and doesn't for sure 😊
I purchased this a few days ago in the same shade which I did go for 2 because it had the Rosey undertone, however having 40 shades is great she absolutely does NOT have enough of the Rosey undertone selection mainly neutral, and warm !! Hope #5 works for me….. I have a feeling this foundation is going to be very close to the Estée Lauder double wear in the way of how it dries down quick like but feel it will just have less coverage. I do want to get a lip/and liner with her liquid HL soon…. I won’t judge if I do not like the foundation because her other products get rave reviews. Back track I feel this foundation is going to take me time to find out what works under it and with it…. Just like that EL DE ( Estée Lauder double wear ) I wish she had the tone that Pat Mcgrath has being shade #6 which is fair/light with pink undertones as that shade is a PERFECT match for my skin and completely undetectable but yeah NOPE she does not have that match !!!!
Oh I didn't realise she didn't have many undertones, that's a shame. I hope number 5 works for you too. I think the color will be ok because I am Pat L4 but that's neutral and its about the same colorish. The Pat one is more yellow though. I only tried Double Wear once and I didn't like so if its similar that would make sense. It definitely dries down sooo fast haha 💗💗

The finish on the foundation is beautiful, however, it sits on my skin also. But, a lot of foundations do the same. I have dry skin and wasn’t sure if that was the reason. I passed on the full bottle. I am hoping the skin tint she comes out with will work better. (Dior spray foundation works best for my skin.)

@@MartinaLily Lisa called it a tinted moisturizer. She mentioned it on her TH-cam video when she introduced this foundation. She didn’t give a timeframe unfortunately. I really love her color range, so the sooner the better.
It's funny because this was my experience with the Pat McGrath foundation. By the end of the day though I think it looks great as it melts like a tinted serum. But I felt it was pricey for a tinted serum that I had to wait for it to look better. Wasn't sure if it was the application or how long it took to do that as I never went back during the day to check. Ended up returning it this week after trying it a few times. I did try it on my mom once and she loved it. Guess different skin textures...
Yeah I had a similar experience with the Pat foundation too! But for me the Pat one applies a bit better but same thing at the end of the day it looks lovely. I didn't have that with this one tho, by the end of the day it just got worse on me. I have no idea what it is in it that my skin hates lol but I wish it wouldn't haha 💗
Am the same about the foundation i tried the samples and i have combo skin and my oils started coming through after about 5 hours of wear so maybe i could try a different primer, i do love her lipsticks

I just went on the site and my jaw dropped when I saw the USD$22 shipping!! So to order just the foundation and have it shipped to Australia I would be paying over $100. Thank you for your video and your honest review but I might give this foundation a miss....
Ohh yeah, the shipping is expensive! That's why I didn't the original lipstick launch and waited for the foundation to launch so I would have enough products for free shipping but honestly I don't think I would order off there unless that was the case cos that shipping cost hurt! 💗
The finish you got was because of the application method i believe... the fingers would have heated the foundation and you would have had another result...
I honestly wish that were the case. I've since tried this foundation with my fingers (multiple times), different brushes and I've even tried mixing a face oil and another a moisturiser into it. Every time it does the same thing :( I want this foundation work for me so much but it truly just doesn't seem to like my skin unfortunately and that's ok its never going to be for everyone

I had a similar experience to you. Have purchased and loved her lipsticks, liners and glosses but I tried the sample cards and it did not work for me. I found when I took my mask off there were visible patches of skin showing where the foundation had lifted and I don’t have that issue with my shiseido or nars foundations.
I am so sorry? This didn’t work for you. I could hear your frustration. Never should a foundation be work or hard to work with or even trying to make it work. It should be simple and beautiful. You definitely give it your all. I love it! Usually this type of finish isn’t what I go for. But I manipulate with a lot of the highlight under it. It blends so well on my dry skin and a little goes a long way. However, I am so glad you love the highlight and lipsticks and liners. They are amazing. The Lucent lipsticks are also gorgeous they are just more moist feeling. And the glosses are butter. They are not sticky and feel like a lip balm. The cheek blushes are also really beautiful and soft. I definitely hope you get more colors because you look so stunning with Fawn. I can imagine some of the other shades;) Good video!! I didn’t dislike the foundation but I also didn’t love it. I found it almost too heavy on the skin definitely more full coverage than my favorite foundations. After trying the sample cards I decided to skip on it.
Its the oddest foundation I have ever tried but also the oddest to watch and listen to reviews on. For example I cannot get this foundation past a light coverage at all but you can get full? And the finish is so different on everyone too, so odd haha 💗
@@MartinaLily I don't know if I have just gotten very used to lighter coverage but a light layer of the LE foundation looked medium coverage for sure, compared to what I usually like. I did like how it feels and spreads on the skin, def not a bad foundation but just not a fave either.

I didn’t have any issues with the foundation but my skin is normal/oily so that may be why.

i also want to try it out..i like the fact that its comes out little bits from the pump and that is not covering much..on normal foundations,one pump was to much for me so alwys wasted product..but what i found on me was,that my skin is the problem not the foundation.spent a lot of money on cleaning products for the face and yet still had dry patches or too big pores...as soon as i started going to a cosmetician and cleaning my skin profesionally i had no problem with foundations anymore...
Oh agreed. The whole points of this foundation made me want to try it so much. And your skin type and issues definitely have a lot to do with how it works and doesn't for sure 😊
I purchased this a few days ago in the same shade which I did go for 2 because it had the Rosey undertone, however having 40 shades is great she absolutely does NOT have enough of the Rosey undertone selection mainly neutral, and warm !! Hope #5 works for me….. I have a feeling this foundation is going to be very close to the Estée Lauder double wear in the way of how it dries down quick like but feel it will just have less coverage. I do want to get a lip/and liner with her liquid HL soon…. I won’t judge if I do not like the foundation because her other products get rave reviews. Back track I feel this foundation is going to take me time to find out what works under it and with it…. Just like that EL DE ( Estée Lauder double wear ) I wish she had the tone that Pat Mcgrath has being shade #6 which is fair/light with pink undertones as that shade is a PERFECT match for my skin and completely undetectable but yeah NOPE she does not have that match !!!!
Oh I didn't realise she didn't have many undertones, that's a shame. I hope number 5 works for you too. I think the color will be ok because I am Pat L4 but that's neutral and its about the same colorish. The Pat one is more yellow though. I only tried Double Wear once and I didn't like so if its similar that would make sense. It definitely dries down sooo fast haha 💗💗

Is their a comparison to Lisas lippys? That lippy colour looks perfect on u too. I'm defo gonna to bag lisa highlighter, it looks "perfection" on your skin so hopefully it will look "ok" on my level 56 skin. Love Alli x

The finish on the foundation is beautiful, however, it sits on my skin also. But, a lot of foundations do the same. I have dry skin and wasn’t sure if that was the reason. I passed on the full bottle. I am hoping the skin tint she comes out with will work better. (Dior spray foundation works best for my skin.)

@@MartinaLily Lisa called it a tinted moisturizer. She mentioned it on her TH-cam video when she introduced this foundation. She didn’t give a timeframe unfortunately. I really love her color range, so the sooner the better.

It's funny because this was my experience with the Pat McGrath foundation. By the end of the day though I think it looks great as it melts like a tinted serum. But I felt it was pricey for a tinted serum that I had to wait for it to look better. Wasn't sure if it was the application or how long it took to do that as I never went back during the day to check. Ended up returning it this week after trying it a few times. I did try it on my mom once and she loved it. Guess different skin textures...
Yeah I had a similar experience with the Pat foundation too! But for me the Pat one applies a bit better but same thing at the end of the day it looks lovely. I didn't have that with this one tho, by the end of the day it just got worse on me. I have no idea what it is in it that my skin hates lol but I wish it wouldn't haha 💗
The elevated glow separates and I have to shake it like a maniac for it to mix together. I don’t like having to do this for the money I paid.

Am the same about the foundation i tried the samples and i have combo skin and my oils started coming through after about 5 hours of wear so maybe i could try a different primer, i do love her lipsticks

I just went on the site and my jaw dropped when I saw the USD$22 shipping!! So to order just the foundation and have it shipped to Australia I would be paying over $100. Thank you for your video and your honest review but I might give this foundation a miss....
Ohh yeah, the shipping is expensive! That's why I didn't the original lipstick launch and waited for the foundation to launch so I would have enough products for free shipping but honestly I don't think I would order off there unless that was the case cos that shipping cost hurt! 💗
The finish you got was because of the application method i believe... the fingers would have heated the foundation and you would have had another result...
I honestly wish that were the case. I've since tried this foundation with my fingers (multiple times), different brushes and I've even tried mixing a face oil and another a moisturiser into it. Every time it does the same thing :( I want this foundation work for me so much but it truly just doesn't seem to like my skin unfortunately and that's ok its never going to be for everyone

I didn't pick up a sample card because the shipping to Aus is so expensive that I was trying to save myself some money, I should have just got the card in the end haha Oh I don't have that product but I've heard its good so absolutely worth a try! I had a similar experience to you. Have purchased and loved her lipsticks, liners and glosses but I tried the sample cards and it did not work for me. I found when I took my mask off there were visible patches of skin showing where the foundation had lifted and I don’t have that issue with my shiseido or nars foundations.

Mmm no I don't think so. 3 is definitely yellow tones and I think 4 is more neutral leaning ever so slightly peach

I don't in Bobbi Brown but in MAC I'm NC25 if that helps?

I am so sorry? This didn’t work for you. I could hear your frustration. Never should a foundation be work or hard to work with or even trying to make it work. It should be simple and beautiful. You definitely give it your all. I love it! Usually this type of finish isn’t what I go for. But I manipulate with a lot of the highlight under it. It blends so well on my dry skin and a little goes a long way.
However, I am so glad you love the highlight and lipsticks and liners. They are amazing. The Lucent lipsticks are also gorgeous they are just more moist feeling. And the glosses are butter. They are not sticky and feel like a lip balm. The cheek blushes are also really beautiful and soft.
I definitely hope you get more colors because you look so stunning with Fawn. I can imagine some of the other shades;)

For me the finish on the cheeks was phenomenal but it noticeably pilled around my dry “goatee” zone. That was a dealbreaker, alas

I didn’t dislike the foundation but I also didn’t love it. I found it almost too heavy on the skin definitely more full coverage than my favorite foundations. After trying the sample cards I decided to skip on it.
Its the oddest foundation I have ever tried but also the oddest to watch and listen to reviews on. For example I cannot get this foundation past a light coverage at all but you can get full? And the finish is so different on everyone too, so odd haha 💗
@@MartinaLily I don't know if I have just gotten very used to lighter coverage but a light layer of the LE foundation looked medium coverage for sure, compared to what I usually like. I did like how it feels and spreads on the skin, def not a bad foundation but just not a fave either.
Unfortunately the foundation emphasizes dry areas😪
