I feel like Victoria Beckham is best at making the exact makeup she would want to wear. This often works out for me because there’s an overlap in our preferences (and I love the representation of what people older than 30 need), but it’s just a different kind of project than a makeup line created by an artist used to working on a bunch of different people her whole life.
Every single concealer ever sinks into my lines (I’m in my 40s) … except the Westman Atelier. Honestly would not be shocked to hear it was made by a literal witch. I’m obsessed
Good to know. I love WA but only have two things. My Haus is dangerously low and I happened to see the concealer at Sephora the other day. I was curious… but not daring enough to buy without consulting the TH-cam 😂
I’ve never owned any WA products but I recently bought this concealer and I’m really loving it. I get high medium coverage from it (easily covers acne spots) and it looks really skin-like, even if I’m not wearing any other makeup. 68 for the VB concealer is literal insanity 😦
If you compare VB concealer (2.3 grams) with Chanel Sublimage (10 grams) concealer the Chanel one looks like a bargain considering that the cost per gram for the Chanel concealer is much less (almost half) plus it lasts forever because you need a tiny amount to cover the under eye area. 😂 Thanks for sharing!🙂
I’m loving the Westman Atelier for my dark circles on my mature skin. It stays all day and doesn’t settle into my fine lines. Cant ask for more. I haven’t tried VB yet it’s a little too expensive for me imho.
See, I LOVE concealer in the VBB Brush packaging. The coverage level and texture are also perfect for the way I wear makeup. I want truly undetectable makeup. Obviously it's not for everyone, but I think it perfectly fits in the VBB lineup of products. Skincare focused, skin enhancing vs. skin masking. For me it's an instant holy grail, I immediately ordered two backups so I can keep one at my vanity and one in my handbag. TBH the price point does give a little sticker shock but I think it's in line with the pricing of her existing skincare products. If the skincare in the concealer proves to work the way they claim then I can see the price being justified for me to keep repurchasing.
Have been breathless for your review! I cannot wait for Lisa Eldridge’s concealer to come out next year and see where it settles in the lineup. Her skin tint is amazing and I truly didn’t care for her foundation. Thanks Kackie!!!
Thanks for doing a side-by-side! I wonder if Sarah Creal leaving VBB impacted that release? For what it’s worth, the concealer in Sarah’s new line is AMAZING. New holy grail for me.
Good question! I really want to try Sarah’s concealer! Unfortunately it’s not available in Sephora’s near me yet and I’m concerned the fair warm will be too yellow for my peachy warm neutral skin…
WA and VB are actually my favorite clean beauty or just beauty brands in general so I have been very excited for these and also bought 2 of each. I find that I have trouble with WA complexion undertones and have multiples of both tint and stick and ended up buying a 3rd concealer to get it right. The VB concealer is the perfect shade and undertone for me and I found it really easy to pick. I don’t like the delivery system of the VB, it gets dry and is a bit stabby and WA’s is just so pretty looking and is very comfortable to use. WA is a bit dryer and thicker looking under the eyes but the VB one is perfect for me there albeit my dark circles still show through. I find WA fabulous on the face so I have found a perfect place for both in my collection and love them both over all my other concealers at this point.
I’ve only tried VBB and really loving it so far. It’s the only concealer that doesn’t emphasize my fine lines. Maybe because I’m older, my concealer needs are very different from others. P.S. Kackie, I kinda like the “gummy” consistency, it grips the skin underneath. No movement. $68 for 2.4ml is nasty work 😂
I've been waiting for this one!! So absolutely stoked 🎉 (Also, to anyone who needs to hear this: you are an awesome human bean, and I hope you have a good morning! 🌄 )
Oh yeah, as a gastroparesis person, I 1000% resonate with foods doing the opposite of what happens for most people. No food is "healthy": it's all about balance and individual needs!
I bought both because I am complexion junkie and both these brands are personal favourites, although I lean more towards WA in terms of brand (it has more complexion products), these two me are two completely different products in terms of finish and feel on my skin. I can wear both for a full face, but with 2.4ml on the VB I feel less tempted to do so. That being said, I hate that I liked the VB a lot and that I will probably repurchase it, it depuffs my eye area and doesn't emphasise fine lines and makes it look very natural, I agree she wanted her own version of Touche Éclat which is iconic in the sense that I remember being a teen and seeing my mother using it, but dries my eyes like no one's business and emphasises every single texture under my eyes. I haven't been wearing it for the amount of time to say whether or not the claims of skincare of the Augustinus Bader TC8 are effective or not. With the WA I can do spot conceal blend it with a small brush, powder it and do a "woke up like this" very natural routine. Amazing review as always Kackie, sadly for my wallet, I will mostly repurchase both.
thanks for showing the shade swatches! i spent a lot of time on the VB website trying to decide between the two lightest shades. in the end it kept recommending the second shade most often so i bought it. got it and its multiple shades too dark for me unfortunately!! i would’ve been better off getting the lightest one and trying to thin it out for a brightening under eye. lesson learned
Just said, "Ooo!" when I saw you'd uploaded. (So what if only my cats could hear.) PLUS, it's about Westman Atelier, a brand you introduced me to that I'm loving!
New to your channel and loving your reviews! I am a huge fan of westman atelier! Thank you for demoing the concelar and activator, expensive....but they work! Hope you have a better day tomorrow :)
Thank you so much for this comprehensive review! I've been so tempted to purchase the VBB concealer (new! bright and shiny!), despite the fact that the "TCF8" breaks me out. I've tried the Bader moisturizers and eye cream and they just don't work on my skin. I love the VBB priming moisturizer, though! I did get the WA concealer and agree with your analysis - the shade match for me is perfect, and I've been pleasantly surprised with the texture and wear.
😮 I also have that problem - everything I've tried from Augustinus Bader has caused breakouts ☹ I wanted to love it, but I guess it's good for my wallet that I don't lol
I purchased the VB concealer on fever-induced whim. I think it's nice but not revolutionary. I have the shade L1, which is a very nice neutral shade for me. It's very similar to the NYX serum concealer.
I have the VB concealer in the 2nd shade and I really like it. The only problem is the shade is a touch dark but for summer it’s great. I think that the lightest shade would be too light and I agree she needs to add a shade between! I don’t love the packaging but it’s convenient there’s that.
The VBB concealer is even the same delivery system as the extinct Burberry concealer. It seems she really liked that packaging. Not for me for the price and there is no shade for olive skin people.
I’m trying both out now too. You’re correct that the VB shades jump. The pen is more like the Clé De Peau click concealer as opposed to the YSL low coverage highlighter.😊
I’m a little late on this one but girl, I’ve gotta say, I simply love how brutal you are. (Not mean just soooo honest) It seems like on TH-cam a lot of you guys have sort of a blind spot for brands like VBB, Lisa E and Westman (or just luxury beauty in general). I think it’s easy to get sucked into the experience so much so that one might dismiss flaws in their formula or color range that wouldn’t be tolerated from other brands. I love that you consistently shoot us straight. I don’t always agree with your opinions, but I know that every time I come to you, you give me your true opinion and don’t hype a product unless you really think it’s good. 👏🏼 Anyway, love your channel. Thanks for posting. :)
Seeing so many comparisons of VBB to WA as high end lines, but what I’m really curious about is the new Ciele concealer vs Westman Atelier since they are claiming similar coverage and performance. Would LOVE your insight if possible
I legit have used YSL Touche Eclat as my "foundation". I have ok skin so I brush it on the areas I just need some redness cover and brightening. It's NOT the use as intended and I do go through about 6 a year but it looks so skin like. It helps me fake elven complexion.
Always look forward to your reviews. VB .... I DON'T THINK SO. She can keep her status price and miniscule amounts. I have so many very good concealers (but always open to finding ones that are even better than what I'm currently using. ... SAIE, NARS, LYS, etc). Would you consider doing some reviews on SWEED BEAUTY. I just got 2 of their Air Blush Creams (in Lucky - GORGEOUS, and Cheeky - haven't tried yet) and a Le Lipstick (in French Girl - love, but you must use a lip liner)? Thanks so much. BTW ... Mushroom Coffee ... VILE!!! Just the thought of it makes me gag...
The VB concealer is getting a lot of stick for the price per ml. But honestly I don't think there will be any other skincare concealer that can beat the AB tfc8. His skincare is transformative and goes way beyond a makeup product.
Your review was very interesting, but you omitted what I think is a notable piece of information about the Victoria Beckham concealer. And that is that it was developed by skincare expert Dr. Augustinus Bader and that it is a targeted treatment as well as a concealer, using Bader’s patented peptides. This may not be important or valuable to everyone, but it’s the reason for the concealer’s price tag. I’m guessing it may also be the reason for its sealed pen container. I bought mine about a month ago and have found it extremely effective as well as pretty under my aging eyes. The WA product is good, but it’s makeup and not also targeted skincare. Thus the differences.
The Westman Atelier concealer is also marketed as a skincare/makeup product. The literal name of the product is "Vital Skincare Concealer" which also contains peptides and other ingredients that support natural collagen and darkness under the eyes.
I Love the VBB concealer, it looks like I'm not wearing makeup. As someone who spends a lot on makeup , this is the first time I feel a product is trully innovative
Have not tried Westman. The VB is really good. I got the second lightest shade and use it for my under eye circles from hell. It’s a little too dark for my face but not enough that I can’t use it. I I want to try Westman before I buy the lightest VB. I like the Saem better though and it costs less.
I love both of these concealers! I will say, the WA does better without powder. I used my Haus Labs loose powder and new Laura Mercier pressed powder a couple times and just didn’t like the look of it at the end of the day. The VB plays well with all of my powders. The delivery system is chintzy, but the product is really pretty to work with and wears well throughout the day. VB has to do better with her shade range though. My god! And I’m a skin twin, so I too have no room to talk!
So i think the difference in shade leaps between WA and VB are because WAs shade range is mostly light to - tan shades with almost no deep or dark shades where VB has mostly medium to deepest shades. VB range looks super friendly to darker skin tones so they skipped a lot of nuance in the fair - light shades. Also you were saying WA was very evenly distributed, well VBs tan to deep shades are like that too. Adding to say, but the vb being that expensive is insane... I will be buying the WA. I feel like VB dropped the ball with this pretty badly. I have a few medical issues that make my gastro reactions insane too. Some types of stuff like pelvic dyssenergia can actually make fiber cause bloat, gas and constipation. And with ibs certain types of fiber (nos from fodmap diet) can do the same thing. I hope you find a good gastro!
Thanks for the detailed review on both of these oncealers. I haven't bought either (yet) bc I can't imagine cheating on my Tower 28. I think IF I do pick one up, it'll likely be the WA.
Try Four Sigmatic!!! It's a mix of actually coffee and mushrooms. I really don't understand why WA is considered a "clean" brand. All of their products contain plastics in the ingredients. Currently using the milk future fluid
I’d be curious to know how to Weston’s concealer compares to the Haus Labs concealer. I’ve heard the textures are similar and that is the thing drawing me to the Westman concealer.
I wonder if reducing your intake of foods high in FODMAP could help. Many European people and people of European descent struggle to process them. A lot of colloquial “good stuff “ for digestion also tend to be high in them. Idk might be worth a shot 🤷🏽♀️
I have and love most of the Westman Atelier minis (biscuit/doudou/petal/nectar) but use Chanel Sublimage concealer (I decant it from the glass jar which I dislike). Haven't tried the WA concealer yet because I love Sublimage so much (expensive but lasts 1.5 years for me).
I just went through the seed two week gut reset thing because my system has been f**ed as well and omg it was magical. Thought I would share. Got it at target
Very familiar with a digestive system that refuses to accept many foods. I think ADHD unfortunately increases the chances of having these issues. Even if just for a higher stress baseline that xomes with it unfortunately. Depression also 🙁 Mushrooms are usually high FODMAP so not necessarily the best for people with digestive system inflammation. But it doesn't mean all of this is a forever thing! Could come and go in life and I'm personally not a fan of demonising any food in any situation.
Love to see a call out for FODMAP awareness! There’s some interesting research out there that mindfulness/meditation/guided hypnosis program has similar results to eliminating FODMAPS. I also have seen folks able to gradually add in more of these fibers over time if they take it really slow, our gut biome can adjust in positive ways but usually not to a whole cup of mushroom powder at once
ADHD with ASD partner. Often these things signal a body chemistry reversal with some natural stimulants or depressants (sleepy making chemicals), like coffee makes some people tired or calm and valerian root wakes them up instead of slows them down.
I love your channel, really great info!💗And thank you for letting us know about the mushroom coffee! I have IBS-D, so I have to be really careful about what I consume. I can't drink coffee so I was thinking about trying the mushroom coffee as an alternative. But now I definitely stay away from it, you saved me from a lot of pain and bathroom trips! ☕💩
The Westman Atelier concealer shade L1 looked so yellow on my skin when i swatched it that i dont think itll work on me at all which is sad. Hard pass on the VB though
Allanna Davidson has really been enjoying the Sephora collection skin tint… could you maybe compare to the Lisa Eldridge for us so I know if it’s worth the $100 aud I have to pay for it 😊
I’ve only tried the VBB so far, and it works really well on my mature undereyes - the only concealer that has come close to the Chanel correcteur yeux in the pot. I love that it stays all day and I don’t have to powder it, and it looks like my skin. Just hate the price and the amount of product 😩 Thanks for your review & comparison! I’m curious to try the WA - if that’s a more affordable option that would be great :)
Kackie, for peeps with digestive problems, maybe try Bio-Kult supplements? They help your micro-biome - which obvs - has a HUGE knock-on effect for your health (including mental health) in general .. I have been taking them for 6 months now, and foods that previously ruined my life, I can now tolerate in small doses without having a complete system breakdown!!! xxx
Yeah, the Victoria Beckham concealer pen's lightest shades make little sense. I thought the lightest one would be too light so I got that next one down and it is way off. Having bought it, though, I quite like it as a sort of color-correcting eye cream? I find if I put another, lighter concealer over it, that combo stays incredibly smooth all day. I use just the tiniest bit though. It's also OK as a spot concealer on red or purple PIE spots because it's so peachy. The brush is indeed icky, too. It gets dryly gloppy. Will not re-purchase.
2:23 Uhhhmmm I have ADHD too and same. Most medicines and things do the opposite or just don’t work for me. When I was having my first son they gave me pethidine and it did literally nothing. Have learned since being diagnosed Neurodivergent that it’s called the ‘paradoxical effect’.
I feel like I’m living in an alternate universe- the Westman Atelier concealer was absolutely awful on me. It settled into every fine line, looked cakey and dry- it was literally the worst product I think I have ever used, and I own and love a lot of WA products.
You’re not alone. I thought the WA concealer was too thick and drying for my mature under eye skin. It was cakey and drying, and truly looked awful. And I did adequate moisturizing prep. So it just didn’t work for me. I prefer the new Victoria Beckham collab with Augustinus Bader. Agree that the delivery system isn’t the best. I’m 67, so my skin is much more dry than yours.
experiencing bloating etc when eating a lot of fiber doesn't necessarily mean fiber doesn't work for your body, it could just as well be that your body simply isn't used to it. the bacteria in your digestive system r pretty finicky n do a better job w an adjustment period, so it could be helpful to introduce fiber in small amounts and increase gradually. not tryna tell u what to do ofc, just some info.
I bought a mini WA blush in Petal. It's fine. I have no desire to spend that kind of money as a habit. Mid range is good enough for me, except for my Gucci lipsticks!
If you’re having issues w fiber, etc. I suggest you get a colonoscopy. You may have a bowel disease. They usually don’t get diagnosed until they get much worse as you age and by that point, treatment options aren’t as uncomplicated or with fewer side effects. I’m speaking from experience. I wish I had taken it seriously in my 30s.
I thought the *wildly overpriced* VB Contour Pencil was a joke. Stopped buying after that insult to the customer. *THIS* concealer at 2.3 g for $68 is laughable. I'm not stupid enough to purchase this.
Came for the concealer review, saw a lil gradient highlighter shout out 🥹
I feel like Victoria Beckham is best at making the exact makeup she would want to wear. Oooh! And also would LOVE to know how you find the Gucci highlighter compares to the Natasha Denona Hygen???
Agreed!
I love the Westman Atelier concealer. When I use the product it blends seamlessly into their foundation and takes their powder really well too!
I super appreciate this review - I’ve liked a lot of VB stuff and was experiencing sticker shock on that concealer price, my god

We love positivity!

Did a little too much yesterday and I am now a human slug under the covers, this is perfect ❤
Same. Tea cheers ❤
Sarah Creal concealer is my pick this concealer season. Please please can I have the deets on that jacket beautifulness??

This week felt like a month! I really needed a Kackie review today ❤
Edit: oh yes, same level of (non) energy!
Please, please please demonstrate the new Hindash highlighters🙏🏼
My holy grail has been the Chanel sublimage correcteur so I’m curious how the Westman compares???
Just said, "Ooo!" when I saw you'd uploaded. (So what if only my cats could hear.) PLUS, it's about Westman Atelier, a brand you introduced me to that I'm loving!
Your review is very helpful. Thank you. You always are such a joy to hang out with. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏼
No matter how crappy a day I am having watching a Kackie video puts a smile on my face😊
Awww thank you

The VBB concealer is even the same delivery system as the extinct Burberry concealer. It seems she really liked that packaging. Not for me for the price and there is no shade for olive skin people.
I agree! Similarly to her contour stick which is inspired by the extinct Burberry one.
you pick the BEST music! and thank you for not using the same tune everytime.....the creators who do make me bananas.
The VB really reminds me of the YSL concealer. It has very similar packaging
Can't wait to watch!! I am debating between the two!
Soooo looking forward to the next this or that! 🤩
I’m trying both out now too. You’re correct that the VB shades jump. The pen is more like the Clé De Peau click concealer as opposed to the YSL low coverage highlighter.😊

I refuse to do dirt/mushroom water. Leave me and my hot bean water in peace.
Comparison question: how would you compare the WA to the Danessa Myricks yummy concealer?
VB is also a skincare product. They both look great.
Seeing so many comparisons of VBB to WA as high end lines, but what I’m really curious about is the new Ciele concealer vs Westman Atelier since they are claiming similar coverage and performance. Would LOVE your insight if possible
No comparison. Ciele is very greasy and WA is better.

Hi what’s the difference in hygiene between a brush and a doe foot?
Try Four Sigmatic!!! It's a mix of actually coffee and mushrooms. I really don't understand why WA is considered a "clean" brand. All of their products contain plastics in the ingredients. Currently using the milk future fluid
I’d be curious to know how to Weston’s concealer compares to the Haus Labs concealer. I’ve heard the textures are similar and that is the thing drawing me to the Westman concealer.
Love your reviews! Of the following concealers how would you rank them: Natasha Denona Hyglam, Ciele, Westman Atelier and VB. Thanks in advance
I wonder if reducing your intake of foods high in FODMAP could help. Many European people and people of European descent struggle to process them. A lot of colloquial “good stuff “ for digestion also tend to be high in them. Idk might be worth a shot 🤷🏽♀️
Love the music during your interlude.
The VB is great. Gotta use it most days to see any skincare results! 6 months shelf life!
Thank you for all these great videos! Can you please share what you recommend for eyeshadow for the pretty look you have in this video? Thank you!
I hate that VB concealer because of that brush. I’ve never had good experiences with that type of product.
Also, the VB shade 2 would probably be good to use as a ‘fill’ for a hollow bronzing product? As per your other video?
I have and love most of the Westman Atelier minis (biscuit/doudou/petal/nectar) but use Chanel Sublimage concealer (I decant it from the glass jar which I dislike). Haven't tried the WA concealer yet because I love Sublimage so much (expensive but lasts 1.5 years for me).
I love the sublimage, huge fan.
Very helpful, indeed! I really dislike those vital skin drops, too.
it’s here!! 🥳🎉
Great review and comparison.
Thank you!
Wow that VB price is INSANE!!!
I am so glad!!!
In your opinion, how does the WA concealer compare to the Danessa Myricks?
When you have very mature skin, the WA is drying. I can’t use it 😕
The Westman Atelier concealer shade L1 looked so yellow on my skin when i swatched it that i dont think itll work on me at all which is sad. Hard pass on the VB though
Allanna Davidson has really been enjoying the Sephora collection skin tint… could you maybe compare to the Lisa Eldridge for us so I know if it’s worth the $100 aud I have to pay for it 😊
Kackie, you are so gorgeous, and I love your contents ❤❤
I’ve only tried the VBB so far, and it works really well on my mature undereyes - the only concealer that has come close to the Chanel correcteur yeux in the pot. I love that it stays all day and I don’t have to powder it, and it looks like my skin. Just hate the price and the amount of product 😩 Thanks for your review & comparison! I’m curious to try the WA - if that’s a more affordable option that would be great :)
I saw Ttsandra say the VB is really similar to the Armani luminous silk concealer, maybe one to look into if you haven’t yet!
Victoria Beckham really saved me by having no shade for me. Now I can’t buy a 70 dollar concealer! Oh no! 😂
Would you recommend the Westman Complexion stick for oily skin?
Kackie, for peeps with digestive problems, maybe try Bio-Kult supplements? They help your micro-biome - which obvs - has a HUGE knock-on effect for your health (including mental health) in general .. I have been taking them for 6 months now, and foods that previously ruined my life, I can now tolerate in small doses without having a complete system breakdown!!! xxx
I haven't really been interested in either of these. I hope after watching this that doesn't change 🤪
You're in luck!
Tell me, I must know. Bc Ive been tempted by the Victoria Beckham one
I enjoyed how u analyze and fairly compare products 😻FUN AND SATISFYING TO ME!
just a thought.. I wish Lisa Eldridge just comes with a concealer 🥹!!
experiencing bloating etc when eating a lot of fiber doesn't necessarily mean fiber doesn't work for your body, it could just as well be that your body simply isn't used to it. the bacteria in your digestive system r pretty finicky n do a better job w an adjustment period, so it could be helpful to introduce fiber in small amounts and increase gradually. not tryna tell u what to do ofc, just some info.
I swear fiber makes me more constipated 😩
Tried WA and it wasn’t flattering on mature skin. I’m trying VB next. I prefer a more natural or style concealer anyway
I have a suggestion: u beauty super tinted hydrator and plasma lip balm.
Who is your shirt made by? It’s so pretty!!
I bought a mini WA blush in Petal. It's fine. I have no desire to spend that kind of money as a habit. Mid range is good enough for me, except for my Gucci lipsticks!
What is up with tir tir? You’re the only one I trust. Thank you!
The WA came across, to me anyway, as 100% better than the VB x
what color is the touche eclat for reference?
Please share what crews shade you used
You might wanna look into if it's soluble or non-soluble fiber that's bothering you cuz it makes a difference. ❤
I know my prison by now
If you’re having issues w fiber, etc.
That face when Westman Atelier is the less expensive one 👀🫠😂
Can w.a please come out with cool undertones 😩
I thought the *wildly overpriced* VB Contour Pencil was a joke. Stopped buying after that insult to the customer. *THIS* concealer at 2.3 g for $68 is laughable. I'm not stupid enough to purchase this.
Sticking with Natasha denona and tower 28
