Thank you so much! This was one of my first videos, so I know the quality isn't great. I've gotten much better and plan to redo this one. I hope you will check out some of my others! Thank you for watching 🥰
Good tutorial! I'm better at learning patterns through video than reading them (online patterns can be really confusing). Your video is very comprehensible, and I'm excited to use this pattern! Thanks for your help.
First I want to say thank you so much for making this video! I'm sure you've learned a lot about making videos in the two years it's been since making this one. So kudos to you for continuing to make videos, right on ☺️. Just a couple suggestions since I'm just starting to crochet again after many years and watching many videos... Try using a contrast color for your background and getting a little closer to your work so that we can see what Stitch you're actually going into as I messed up several times, but that was probably just me! Looking forward to watching more of your videos. Thanks again
Hi! You are so kind, thank you very much! Yes, this was one of my first videos and I just went all in without a clue 😅 I have definitely learned so much as you mentioned and hope you will find and enjoy many of my other videos. I appreciate the tips so much, as I'm always willing to listen to anything that may help the experience for someone watching. Thank you, thank you!! 🥰
Thank you so much! This was one of my first tutorials so I've definitely gotten better at recording since then 😅 Thank you for watching and for the sweet comment 🥰
@beverlyjames1332 hi! It does use up more yarn than a regular SC or DC stitch. I'm sorry, I made this year's ago, so I'm not sure how much yarn I used. Plus it would depend on what size yarn and blanket. It's such a pretty stitch though and nice and thick!
I applaud you for making a video. I apologize if my comment sounded critical - it wasn't meant to be. Just a hint when making future videos. Your pattern is absolutely lovely. Pls. continue with your efforts. Thank you for the prompt reply too. Best Wishes & stay safe. Hugs....
Nor critical at all! I'm grateful for feedback so that I can improve as I move forward in making more videos. Thank you so much for taking the time to message. I really do appreciate you 🥰 Big hugs xx
Love this stitch and it really helped me doing something with a bulky yarn I had. This stitch looks lovely on the bulky yarn and if possible share other stitches that may look nice with the bulky kind yarns as I have quite a few and need to do something witb them 💖🙂 Thank you for the nice video 😊
Oh thank you so much for sharing! I use bulky yarn a lot too, so I will definitely do more videos soon. I do have a few scarves and hats and basket videos up that use bulky yarns as well 😊
Hmm..it's hard to say because it would depend on what type of yarn used. I'm just guessing here, but I'd say for a bulky yarn maybe 1200-1500 yards. And maybe 900-1100 for a regular size 4 yarn?
Hi, I'm sorry. This was one of my first videos and I was still learning about recording and such. I have to make an update for this one. Thank you for the sweet compliment!
Oh how exciting! You can finish it off however you'd like! Just end when you like the way the last row looks. Some people like to end with a row of single or double crochet after the last repeat and that makes a nice finish.
Hi Donna, I'm sorry about that. This was one of my first videos and I had a lot to learn still. Here is another video I made showing the waffle stitch with a different color yarn. Maybe this will be better! th-cam.com/video/D3aDcKtAjhk/w-d-xo.html
You have explained it well and I like your demonstration but you need to add a picture/video of the whole blanket so we know what the final result should look like. I would not make this as I don't know what the end product would look like.. such a shame..
Thank you, Sanna. My apologies, as this was one of my first videos and I was just learning so much still. The blanket in the thumbnail is what I made and that was the only photo I had of it, unfortunately. It was one of my first blankets and I was never expecting to sell on Etsy or make TH-cam videos, so I took one photo and then gave to my friend. Thank you so much for the feedback and I will be sure to add photos or videos of the finished projects in everything moving forward. I appreciate your help! 💗
Hi Ramona, I have sound on my end. I just tried on my phone, laptop, and tablet. And had my mom try on hers as well. Maybe try to close out and come back in? Or try on another device?
Hi, thank you for the feedback. This was the first pattern video I made and I was just doing the best I could with what I had to work with. I got better with time! 😁 Sorry you weren't able to follow. I will make a better one for waffle stitch when I can.
@martieriddle9123 hi! I didn't have a cold. I have had nasal surgery and this is my voice. I'm also primarily bedbound with an adrenal illness, so I'm doing the best I can to provide free videos. There are a million waffle stitch blanket tutorials. I hope you find someone healthy to listen to.
Thank you for making this video. You’re an awesome teacher.

I was glad to find a video that shows the Waffle stitch using both front and back post stitches. Thank You!
You're welcome! I'm so happy that it was helpful 🥰

I'm so glad you liked it and found it helpful! Thank you so much. I'm a visual learner as well 🥰
I crochet for 40 years and you are doing good 👍

Is this stitch a yarn eater please. I'm about to try it. How many skein did you to for the baby blanket or afghan.

How many yarns would u suggest for a couch throw ? Cause i know it can be a yarn eater

@@creationsmisfit thank u so much :)
@@One_of_a_kind_crochet you're welcome! I hope this is somewhat accurate!
I’m unable to hear you or make out what you’re saying in this, but I love the look of the blanket 🧶❤️

Good stuff. Getting only one speaker for sound though. Not stereo.
Thank you! Ok, I will check the sound. I can hear both on my end but will see what I can do. Thank you for letting me know!
i’m making my first crochet project with this pattern and i’m getting close to the end. how do i do the last row 😂

Was difficult to see the white stitches using the white background.

Please do us a favor and don’t do a video if your nose is stuffed. Wait till you’re over your cold! It’s just so annoying!
