The person who sent you this did you dirty by not giving you instructions. Milo (which is pronounced 'My-low' by the way) can also be microwaved in milk. It also tastes good if you pour a little bit of the Milo dust onto ice cream. That might also help with it being less chunky. Vegemite should be eaten on toast with a thick layer of butter, with a thin layer of vegemite.
I found putting Milo in cold milk I had the same problem as Peebs. It didn't dissolve much. It was better when I'd add it to hot water or milk like it was hot cocoa. You can't really properly drink it cold until you boil it first then chill it.
As a bonus, for a malayisia/singapore variant of the milo drink (Milo Dinosaur), after dissolving the powder, dump more milo power into the milk until it piles up on top~
To enjoy vegemite, you need to butter the toast first then apply a thin layer of the Vegemite stuff so it spreads easily across the bread and won’t taste too concentrated/bitter if you’re not used to it Also, Milo goes great on vanilla ice cream, highly recommend
Thick vegemite on toast with no butter is the correct way to eat vegemite. Sick of people saying "you're meant to have a tiny bit with butter". Lies and slander.

Ive always been curious about Vegemite, having heard very little good things about it for years, and your descriptions have only enhanced my curiosity. Gotta find a way to try some, but not a lot... Also, it's only due to that ending bit with the Kangaroo Tail did I realize just how much snoot Luka has: his face must be 85% snoot, at least.
Vegemite is a bittery taste but that's its appeal. It's kinda like spicy food is basically the heat. Everyone says to spread it thin which is a good thing with your first try but I personally like a nice amount so if youre used to the taste you dont need a thin spread only. (As a kid I'd eat spoon fulls). You need it with butter though otherwise it won't spread properly.
Vegemite is the same product as Marmite. It's like saying that he should try Rockets in Canada, while he knows what Smarties are. The name Vegemite is even a derivation of the name Marmite.
You need butter with the vegemite and toast. It's a strong flavour, you only need a small amount. Its even better if you melt cheese over it afterward. You can also use vegemite as a stock for cooking. Something else you could try: Milo sandwich. White bread, butter and scoop a thick layer of Milo between the slices.
First time Vegemite should be on buttered toast with a very sparse application of Vegemite. It's meant to be just a little bit salty and tangy. It's a yeast extract, yes. A by-product of beer production! It takes a long time of growing your appreciation for the precious black gold to be able to eat it spread thick like that. There are many Aussies, myself included, of the opinion that if you can still see the bread, you do not have enough Vegemite. But again that's for veterans. Also it goes really well with cheese! When you put rectangular strips of cheese on the toast, sometimes that's called Tiger Toast! Get it?
I got someone who loves the stuff to make me a light vegemite piece of toast with butter and i didnt like it, like at all. Ive tried it like 40 times and still nope.
Do dollar store snacks. I love the cheap chicken crackers from D-Tree and they have veggie chips. Tea, weird Spanish cactus juice that’s amazing, other drinks. Cheap ice cream snacks like orange and cream pops.
I always love how Aussies explain Vegimite. “Nah, you gotta spread it thin, like barely any on the bread. Also cover it with butter so you don’t taste it as much.” My dudes, if you go out of your way to taste something as little as possible, maybe don’t eat it.
This is the recommendation for people trying it the first time. I'm happy to eat it off a spoon, but I know it's a strong flavour and people who haven't had it before should start small.
I've seen so many people try vegemite the wrong way, meanwhile I'm like the one american that has tried it correctly and enjoyed it X'D Right way to try vegemite: Put butter on toast. Put a THIN layer of vegemite on top. NOT how Peebs had done it here, much thinner than that. Vegemite has a very strong flavor so you only need a little bit. The flavor is salty and it's kind of like having a bit of a charcoal flavor. Obviously salty burnt taste isn't something you'd want a lot of, so put only a tiny amount and balance it out with butter. If you have a complete aversion to salt or bitter burnt taste, then you'd probably not like vegemite X'D
Except someone from australia said he had a fine spread but then theres someone who said he put enough for 3 pieces of toast Also another dude said that everyone likes vegemite and they just dont want to admit it. (although that was not on this video)
I was so excited that you mentioned the chemical aftertaste with Twix! Yes!! go to sleep it is too early for you, unless you are not actually Australian, lmao
@@cloudy7971 dont worry im not
WAIT WAIT THE BACKGROUND MUSIC IN THE BEGINNING IS FROM TY THE TASMANIAN TIGER IM GONNA CRYYY
Thank you for trying out my favourites Australian snacks being Australian as I am!!!
YOU ARE AMAZING. ❤️
milo also! doesn't need to be stirred by the way. it's honestly best eaten without any milk at all with a spoon
4:59 um ackshully peebs bee gee i eat chicken flavored crackers from time to time so 🤓
For your ANZAC biscuits, I recommend dipping in your coffee/tea/hot chocolate to make them less hard
add some of that vegemite to some beef gravy and spoon it over potatoes. its amazing.
That's normal for me and I don't understand why people hate on vegimite. It's good.
You dont understand? Let me tell you why
Some people have opinions that differ from yours 😅
In the game Asagao Academy Peebs played in the soccer team, so he really enjoyed the sport and it wasn't random putting him there. Nice.
Finally, peebs is doing a video on aussie stuff.
My mom birthday was a few days ago love this peebs
The cognitive dissonance of playing music from Ty the Tasmanian Tiger in a video about Australia is... Chef's kiss
Also cover it with butter so you don’t taste it as much.”
My dudes, if you go out of your way to taste something as little as possible, maybe don’t eat it.
By that logic you shouldn't put salt and pepper on food either since you don't want those flavours to be too strong
This is the recommendation for people trying it the first time. I'm happy to eat it off a spoon, but I know it's a strong flavour and people who haven't had it before should start small.
Comparing the glorious tim tam to an oreo is an atrocity.
Except someone from australia said he had a fine spread but then theres someone who said he put enough for 3 pieces of toast
Also another dude said that everyone likes vegemite and they just dont want to admit it. (although that was not on this video)
He opened it upside down that's one way to experience the down under
Quality pupper and vegemite content.
I was so excited that you mentioned the chemical aftertaste with Twix! Yes!! And I used to love Twix so much that I used to include characters eating Twix in a lot of my fiction writing (especially as a teen) because I thought, "If this makes it big, Twix is gonna be so happy they're gonna send me a lifetime supply!" 😅 I clearly had no idea how things work. Anyway... NOW, even if that DID work, I wouldn't be very happy. As you said: Change it back, Twix!
Okay. Unpausing and watching the rest now. Thanks, Peebs!
As an Australian myself I like peeps videos they are funny and cool my favourite video from him is the Arthur meme video
