    Want viewers to know I tried following your video on restoring leather seats with spray paint and lacquer thinner and am so pleased with the results,I have no experience doing this type of thing .I am a 73 yr. old woman and like to do for myself what I can.Next will do the seat belts,tire rims and lights.Thank you so much for easy to follow info.

      @@SweetProjectCars At the end of the video you go "full strength" and then wipe them down. So I assume, I could go right into this step from the start?

    This worked great. I only used Super Clean diluted 4 to 1(Worked just fine). I just went straight to soaking and grime removal with the cut PVC pipe. I ended up using a 2nd bucked with clean water and using the same PVC pipe to rinse seatbelt out. Spectacular results!

  • @csiautodetail
    @csiautodetail 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I have been detailing for 10+ years and I have never seen this way to clean a seat belt, looks very effective method to do it, now the only thing is that you will have to work on the car at least for 2 days while you let it soak and dry and all that. I will try this when the time comes to do one of those nasty ones, thanks for sharing.

    I picked up a f-150 with 232,000 miles on it.The truck is in perfect working order I have had it check three times and no defects the old guy that owned it took very good care of it except the drivers side seat belt.This belt is so dirty it won't retract any more it is much worse than the one in your video.This will test to the limit the way you clean them.I am looking forward to finally being able to use the belt again,on my way to wallmart to get some Super Clean right now.thanks for the video.

    You didn't mention.. Along with a "Super Clean" belt, you will be surprised has quick and easily your seat belt will retract. A lot of people don't realize that just a good clean of your belts will solve this problem. They just think the retractor is worn out.

    Many thanks! I did this today and my 7 year old seat belts positively ZIP back when I let them go!! Use gloves and be sure the degreaser liquid you use is suitable for cloth and/or upholstery. Hot tap water, rubbing alcohol. Let the belt soak for an hour or more. Quick, easy brushing, towel, hair dryer, or sun dry....be sure they’re dry! Clothespin worked to keep the belt fully out. This WORKS!

    Brother, that's a deal your giving that customer, $400. WOW! And you do such great work!! I'm going to try the mother's mag and wheel on the wife's 1997 honda, as soon as we get a day below 90°. I'm pretty much disabled but I get by. then clean and paint my leather seats in my 2000 F-350, the way you showed. I'd love to be able to bring my truck to you to clean, I was thinking you would probably charge that customer $500 or more to do all you said you were going to do. But you seem like are fair guy. Keep up the great work and videos and I'll keep watching with thumbs in the air!!! LOL!!😁

      simply, in colder weather we use a fan to help dry it out in a couple hours warmer weather we leave the windows open on a weekend when you are around the car working on other things that need attention next thing you know they are dry.

      Jon, my friend here is what you do with a clean lint free cloth or two, mix super clean 50/50 with hot water and start wiping, always remember to spray it on the cloth then wipe..it will take some elbow grease but you will be able to finally say goodbye to dirty fingerprints.
